We spent a week here over new year 2013. Location was excellent , we found the rooms to be very clean, maids 5 days a week. We found the staff very pleasant and polite. Pool was cold but we still went in. Would be nice if it was heated during winter. All in all a very enjoyable stay at this hotel and would recommend it.

Room Tip: Rooms 33 to 38 excellent pool view !

Thank you very much for your comments. We are very sad to read that a party of 20 people did not like the food at all. In reality we do not have complaints, all people are happy as you can read on the Tripadvisor, and the beweekly questionnaires of the hotel confirm it. Thanks to these questionnaires we know what people like, what we should add and cancel from our menus, which are beweekly as well. Entertainment programme is beweekly as well, so the only things you see twice are the animal shows before the evening entertainment. We hope you had a good time in Tenerife and hope to welcome you back again!

This was the first time we had ever been away for New Year and chose Parque De La Paz as we had been tere previously (some 12 Years ago) and remembered it as been very good back then.
It is in a fabulous location, close enough to bars and restaurants but not ones that went on too late to disturb sleep and only a few minutes walk to the beach, although we didnt spend that much time down there as our 9 year old daughter made lots of friends around the hotel and enjoyed going to the kids club there so prefered to stay there.
Evening entertainment varied so suit different ages and maybe not everyones cup of tea, but we had a few good nights in there.

We were all inclusive and food was excellent and available pretty much most of the time and there was usually plenty to choose too (a menu outside the restaurant showed what was on each day so on the one night there was nothing we fancied, we just ate out). There was plenty of drinks choices availabale with a variety of spirits (baileys, malibu, rum, scnapps among others as well as the usual vodka, gin, whisky etc) too although they were not the branded ones that were avalable to purchase from the main bar.

Maid service was 5 times a week and they did a really good job, but the one thing we couldnt understand (and that we couldnt seem to get resolved even after speaking with reception) was that each time they came, instead of making our daugtters bed on sofa bed in the lounge area, they kept putting the cushions back on the sofa and folding up the covers, leaving them in a neat pile on the sofa and leaving it for us to make back up each night??
We had a bath with a shower over it which unfortunately for my husband, you didnt get lots constant hot water from and it was him it usually ran out on.

Pool area was great with plenty of (comfy) sunbeds although pool was VERY cold and is the only thing that would make me think twice about booking this particular hotel again for next year and possibly looking for somewhere with a heated pool. A shame really as everything else totally suited us but enjoy being in pool normally but was too cold to enjoy (and not just me being soft as was main comment among most guests)

Thank you very much for your positive review. We are very sorry you felt unconfortable with the extra bed. Indeed we fold up the covers to allow the whole family to use the sofa during the day. We thank you for your comments because thanks to them we try to improve our services. Welcome back at any time.

Came back again to this hotel we enjoyed it so much in 2012.We had a room on the ground floor
with a nice grass area were we could sit out.It was the first time in 21 years of coming to Tenerife that we had rain and it was like a tropical storm, that was just 3 odd days but it was still hot.
We have enjoyed our stay at Parque de la Paz and will be going again.

Just back from a weeks stay in Parque De La Paz,it was in a perfect area not too far from bars/restaurants and the beach close by too.We were all inclusive and found the food fantastic with a huge selection to choose from.Evening entertainment to suit all young and old..maybe a bit noisy at times but bearable..(maybe not for the older people who were holidaying there)! Girls that do the kids entertainment each night are great with the kids. The apartment is a bit tired looking especially the kitchen/bathroom and if you want hot water for a shower best get one in the morning. But we had a fantastic time..afterall your on holiday and you can bear a cold shower now and again if your enjoying yourself on holiday. But myself my daughter and husband all enjoyed the holiday and can't wait to book up again for next new year. The location was just what we were looking for and the pool was perfect for kids to play at and pleanty to keep them amused. The view from our room would have been excellent if not for the huge cactus blocking most of it.The staff were very helpfull and the room tidied every day and beds made..any tidying also done.Excellent service.

Room Tip: ask for a room without a catcus outside the balcony!

We stayed here for 5 weeks mid November to late December 2013 and offers the following review of our findings of our aparthotel:

Well recommended, great location, staff excellent (they really are very nice and willing to help), food good (the chef Pierre does wonders with what he's been given to work with, but I believe only a weekly menu?), very clean but, is beginning to show its age, should soon be looking at a complete update?

If staying with young children for two weeks or less, I suggest checking out the all of inclusive option, over two weeks and the food could become a little repetitive?

There was always plenty of sun loungers at the pool and although there were the usual morning "towel planters" there really was no need.

We noted various management personal entering the food serving and preparation areas of the restaurant on very regular times handling and mixing food platters, this could be looked on as good but, they were NOT wearing any of the required any or proper PPE so would be possibly be carrying/transferring various bugs/germs from outside to the food being served, this should stop immediately unless proper Personal Protective Equipment is worn.

We found the price being charged for drinks with a meal especially a bottle of coke to be very expensive, and what I would describe as a "RIP-OFF" for a 200mil size bottle, having said that it seems most places are now using this size bottle?

One for management:
After buying a half hotel of wine with our meal for TWO days and paying for before leaving the restaurant it is a diabolical to receive a letter under your door to contact the management at our earliest convenience to be told they had made a mistake and undercharged us for the wine and now requested a further 10Euro's in payment?
Their mistake, we paid in full before leaving so therefore the contract had been fulfilled and we were under no obligation to pay any more. We did pay but I would suggest to the management this was very very poor customer relationship especially for the paltry sum of 10Euro when in fact the same FULL bottle can be purchased at the local supermarket for under 5Euro? What should have happened is we should have been informed at our next meal when ordering another bottle that they had made a mistake on the previous sale and the future price would be whatever?
I suggest MANAGEMENT take urgent note of the above.

The music accompanying the so called "fashion" shows was far too loud, I had to go inside and close the door when these were on? Anybody with a young child trying to sleep had no chance, absolutely no need for music to be played at this volume? (I did complain to management about the volume being used and although it was lowered it was not enough),

Although we never visited any of the entertainment because, again far too loud for us, and I believe if used at the volumes they were using for any length of time could lead to hearing difficulties and again, I believe, contravenes the Health and Safety at work act and Noise Polution act.
(I was a health and safety rep before I retired),

We are a retired couple and have stayed in this aparthotel before and will definitely use it again, hopefully next year.

The above is our personal findings which may be looked on as trivial by some people and of high severity by others but is our honest opinions of our latest stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: From reception, (pool view). left side for sun in evening, right side for sun in morning. All rooms...

Good evening,

As already spoken to management during one of yours evening meals, we had already explained to you that we have a biweekly menu and we were willing to show it to you (they hang outside the restaurant door), so we do not really understand why you are still insisting we have got a weekly menu only.

Kindly note that DEVELOP food and MONITOR food are two very different concepts.
You need PPE while preparing or touching food.
Management mixes food with a spoon exactly as guests do during the whole meal. We do have protection glass on both sides of the buffet, so it is exactly the same mixing from one or from the other side.

We have drinks menus where you can see the quantities and the prices. You are not obliged to buy drinks, but if you do, the prices and quantities are the ones explained on the menus.

The same happens with the wine. You have menu to see how much it costs, like all the other years, as you are repeater you surely know. You ordered a bottle and you paid the price of one single glass. The waiter was new, he made a mistake, but on the price list you saw the price, so I think it is normal we tell you the error and it is courtesy to pay the difference as otherwise the waiter has to pay for your wine. You only had to pay what you drunk, we never asked you to pay more than the price list or more than what you drunk.
A wine bottle is cheaper in a supermarket as there you do not get it cooled, you do not get any table service and you do not get any glasses. But this is the same all over the world. So you paid 8,50€ for a bottle which costs – as you said – 5,00€ in the supermarket. We think it is fair.

On that day you came to management to lower the fashion show music we did it immediately. It was a 10 minute show and in reality we did not get any other complaints. In hotels which offer entertainment it is normal to have music, so maybe if it is a problem for you, a hotel without entertainment could be another good option because they are quieter.

We are very happy to read that, in spite of the negative comments, you will come back to the hotel. Every year we try hard to improve our services thank you to all the reviews we receive.

Best Regards,
Management

We stayed here for a week on an all inclusive basis- the week before Christmas. We had a lovely time and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family. The hotel is great value for money, comfortable and clean accommodation, decent food and drink and a fantastic location. The only downside for us, travelling with two young children was the volume of the PA system used for the evening entertainment. Quite why it has to be so loud when the entertainment room is not the biggest I don't know. Be prepared to be disturbed in your apartment by this till midnight. . Also the kids pool could be a little warmer- it was way too chilly for us to persuade our 2 year old to go for a dip. All in all though we a had a great holiday in great wee hotel.
