This hotel is very well located and it is very good.
There is a lot of space and it is extremely child-friendly. There is a lot for children to do and the staff are really lovely and helpful.
The restaurants were very good and there was even Cava at breakfast!!!
It is walking distance from the main Las Americas strip where there is lots to do.
We had a room with a plunge pool, which was fab- the water was changed daily and the entire hotel was very clean.
I would definitely go there again as I really enjoyed it with the family.

Room Tip: The plunge pool rooms are fab!!!

We visited hotel in October 2013.
All things were perfect:
1. Location. Close with playa del Camison and in the middle of Gold mile (close to piramida de arona)
2. Atmosphere. If you would like to have a breakfast with piano and champaign it's you choice
3. Common overview. Cleaning everyday. Friendly staff. Possibility to use the infrastructure of mideteranian hotel ( but it's not needed).
It worth to visiting .

Selected the hotel for a couple weeks because going with two small kids and needed a beach in 5 min by foot, good swimming pool and wide set of children's entertainment. I'm really love small family hotels, and always with great doubt relate to large complexes, expecting rather mediocre staff attitude (if you have 1000 clients - one doesn't matter). However, here are my expectations were not met - the hotel was much better!!!
The staff always treated with respect and always tryed to help. There are many pleasant things, not burdensome for the hotel, but very nice for the guests, starting with an excellent children's club, and small gifts for the children, and the opportunity to rent a room free for 30 minutes before leaving! The only drawback - the weak WiFi. The signal level is good, but the channel is so narrow that you can use internet either at night or on reception.
Moreover, from the disadvantages are:
- In one of our rooms the air condition regulator wasn't working;
- very strange arrangement of meals during breakfast - the path of the people movement are very strange. Logistics are not good.
But, I would like to come back here more than once.

Room Tip: In the rooms near the piramid you can hear the noise of the hotel vent system - it is difficult to...

I´m glad to know that we have surpassed your expectations and that you and your family have been able to enjoy our services and facilities.

i will take good note of your suggestions regarding the wifi signal and the distribution of our breakfast buffet. This last one has recently been readjusted according to our guests comments, so I´m afraid you have just missed the improvements we made at the beginning of this week, but I hope you will be able to try it and give us your opinion in the future.

We stayed here on the last day of our holiday in a pool view room. It’s in a super location for the southern end of Playa de las Americas and backs directly onto the beach pedestrian walkway, Paseo Fransisco Andrade Fumero with pedestrian walkways on either side too, which makes it quieter than you’d expect. As others have mentioned when you check in you get a complimentary glass of fizz, which is a nice touch. Check-in was speedy and friendly, and even though we arrived mid-morning our room was ready so we could use it straight away. We think the public areas inside the hotel are possibly the most impressive of any place we’ve ever stayed with plenty of marble, chandeliers and elegant staircases. 25 years ago when it sat on its own with empty lots all around it, Cleopatra’s blue coloured older sister hotel, the 5 star Mediterranean Palace, was the ultimate luxury hotel in Playa, but if you compare the internal public areas of the two they just don’t compare, the Cleopatra’s luxury wins hands down.

Our room was a good size with a very large double bed but, disappointingly, not the best quality mattress as it was noisy when you moved, and especially so as you went to get out of bed. If our mattress was typical, the hotel could do with renewing them. The internal bathroom was fine with double sinks, a good overbath shower and superb quality towels. Sound travel between rooms wasn’t the best we have ever had but we’ve had much worse in the past. Although we didn’t sit and watch any TV we were pleasantly surprised to find that the Cleopatra provides a number of British TV channels. Use of the room safe is complimentary. Our main criticism relating to the rooms is the design of the balconies. It would be nice if there were much wider and higher balcony divider walls to give better privacy from the sides.

For a hotel with 431 rooms there’s not really a huge amount of public outside space or sunbeds in the centre of the hotel but when we stayed there seemed to be enough beds for those who wanted to use them, although a much higher number of parasol is needed. We guess a high proportion of guests in the best rooms with double size balconies and their own plunge pools probably spend the day up there and others must go out for the day, or spend it at the Mediterranean Palace or the beach, otherwise there probably wouldn’t be sunbeds for 3 out of 4 guests. The roman temple swimming pool was quirky but fitted the theme of the hotel. The water was pretty cold when you got into it so we don’t reckon it’s heated. The pool was also quite small but seemed big enough for those who wanted to swim, and its size means the sunbathing terraces are that much bigger. But the terraces are completely surrounded by the hotel so you get long morning and afternoon shadows and it means you should expect to vacate the pool much earlier here than in some hotels. It was exceptionally quiet around the pool with hardly any children – that might be because the Med Palace is now sold as Mare Nostrum’s family resort.

The typical holiday hotel breakfast buffet was fine. It even included freshly squeezes oranges from a juicer if you wanted it, which in our experience doesn’t happen in very many hotels, including those with 5 stars. Don’t wait to be seated, you find your own table. If you’re not on half board there are a huge number of restaurants on the roads to the front of the hotel.

After a week in a less than perfect apartment we really enjoyed our extra night in the Cleopatra Palace. We intended to post some photos but while we were waiting a short while for our room we stupidly put the camera down on a seat for a few minutes without watching it and it “disappeared”, it wasn’t handed in – so take particular care of your valuables here.

Room Tip: Very few rooms will be troubled by external noise here

Location good smack in middle of everywhere, clean hotel and friendly staff nice touch of cava on arrival. But the room allocated was in the far corner overlooking a building site which was dirty and noisy! changed to another room overlooking car park not impressed at all but that all they had and not even tea and coffee making facilities...and this a 4 star hotel ?.Breakfast food was abominable... everthing that was supposed to be hot was lukewarm or cold, quality was undercooked and tasteless and not even kept the food supplied to the hot plate service.Chairs in the dining area were disgusting dirty and overall the restaurant was badly managed.Previous evenings vegetables reheated and served for breakfast!! Found food and drinks very very expensive at the hotel so to us Cleopatra is a 2star hotel with 1 star food and 5 star prices. NEVER shall we go there again !!!

Room Tip: Just dont go there.

Fab hotel rooms brilliantly cleaned done well, trust worthy staff, friendly staff always a smile, even when we try our spanish sayings we are not very good but we do try. very dissapointed this time by the pool as the building work on the piramid was noisey all day long nobody warned us that there was work going on. Stayed at Med Palace for a few years and stayed at cleopatra for the last 3 holidays, we have 2 holidays a year and we stay within the mare nostrum complexs .We always liked breky in the med palace due to the omelettes the ladies were great there was the very lovely SMILEY lady who made fab omelette then she moved on then there was the stern faced lady who was lovely and very good at omelletes and when we have been this this time 4th Oct 2013 the omelettes we RUBBISH the mixture was RUBBISH all pre made not eggs beat as you order and it tasted RUBBISH (sorry) but highlight of my breky was a lovely breky this time NOT. So this time at the Mare Nostrum Resort Complex I was dissapointed. But hopefully when we come back in March to SIR ANTHONY we will be be very pleased.

We come twice a year to the Cleopatra Palace, and once again have been impressed by the friendliness, helpfulness and commitment of the management and staff.
The fourth floor seaview room with plunge pool is has a stunning view over the sea, and as we booked directly with the hotel, we are able to take advantage of a late checkout and enjoy it for a few extra hours before leaving for our evening flight.
There are, as there will be, some minor irritations, but really not worth mentioning, and better to bring them to the attention of the management anyway.
There is one major irritation though, and that is the sight of 'guests' stuffing their bags with fruit, pastries and rolls at breakfast. Greedy and petty.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your comments here on TripAdvisor.

I´m glad to know of your satisfaction and hope to have the chance to continue welcoming you in the future and offering you the best of ourselves.

We always encourage our guests to inform us of any issue during their stay so that we can take immediate action and correct any possible problem, improving their experience with us.

Believe me when I say that we are taking any possible measure to prevent guests from taking food from our buffet. The hotel regulations don´t allow this practice although sometimes the mere existence of rules does not guarantee their compliance, so we are reinforcing this point with the help of our staff.

Thank you once again for your nice words. Do not hesitate to visit our web page for any information on prices or availability.
