I stayed in the Cleopatra Palace on 2 occasions in 2012 It is a beautiful Hotel with brilliant friendly staff. It is in a great location, walk to the beach through the main door or to the street at the side entrances. I went to the super shows on 2 occasions with a world theme buffett afterwards followed by a disco and finished off with fireworks - it was a pleasure to have visited such a wonderful hotel.

Room Tip: Sea view or Pool view is a must

a nice normal lux resort, nice but I think small rooms, very nice pool area and of course the location is exelent.

a lot of choices in the mare nostrum resort for bars and so on.

This hotel is by my standards overpriced.

Our second visit to the Cleopatra was slightly dissapointing. We felt the breakfast area had gone downhill with messy plates everywhere. People pilling masses of food on plates and then leaving lots uneaten. ( not the hotels fault just the attitude of guests) however this was sometimes left uncleared for a time.

The rooms are good but the furnishings are tired and the beds a little hard for us. The restaraunt is located in the middle of the hotel with the rooms rising several floors above it. The doors of the rooms visable from the dining area all rising above you. It gives the dining experience a souless feel.

TV is good with allthe UK major channels.

The hotel scores highly on its location. It is right on the beach and near to all the bars and cafes. The restaraunts nearby are very good quality.

All in all this is a good value hotel but could improve.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are the best. If you have a pool view ask for one on the sunny side.

This was our 2nd time as we stayed November 2012 also. Loved the location, within walking distance of the Beach, Shops and restaurants and our very favourite Irish pub The Hole in the Wall!!! Breakfast was just ok, cant stand the streaky bacon they serve up, therefore we went out to the hole in the wall a couple of mornings and had a real breakfast with back bacon.. Must say that the rooms were nice and the towels were changed every day. Every 3rd day the bedlinen was changed. The cleanliness wasnt great as we found hairs in the bath the 1st day and they never swept underneath the wash hand basins as it was very dusty, how i diascovered this was i dropped an earring and had to go on my knees to find it and my hands were covered in dust !!! Another thing that we did not like was the Piano player who played at breakfast every morning, thats something people on holiday can defenitely do without...

Room Tip: We stayed in rooms facing on to the pool and every morning we were wakened with the sound of delph and cutlery rattling and then the Piano player...In the afternoon when we were trying to have a rest the noise of children playing in the Jacuzzi was irritating therefore I guess the rooms fronting onto the beach are the best option,......

For the first time ever we decided to spend Christmas away, just my husband our son and I, and enjoy some warm weather in the sunshine. The Cleopatra is OK, although rather pretentious with all the columns and statues. It is a bit of Las Vegas over the top, but in Tenerife. It could do with some refurbishment. Our rooms were clean but we had to call the plumber three times before we could use toilet and bidet. In our fridge there was only water and a rather unfriendly notice telling us not to put any food in it. Our balconies had ocean views, were a good size, and were in the sunshine all day. Breakfast had a huge selection of hot and cold dishes, but not many were worth bothering with. We were delighted not to have booked half board, and on the experience of breakfast we always ate out. We were told that if we wanted to have an evening meal in the hotel, they were all buffet dinners and cost 25 Euros a head. We thought that was too much for the standard of food served. The hotel is in excellent position for shops and restaurants, and the staff is helpful. We had a good day trip at La Gomera, an island 20 miles away from Tenerife. We got what we went for, ie sunshine, but we would not go back to Tenerife for another holiday. I would have marked some of the rating as good, rather than average or very good, but that choice is not given in the selection below.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the Mediterranean Palace and facing towards the ocean have sunshine all day long. Good Balconies as well. We were on the second floor.
