Looked up this bar on trip advisor and were glad we did, to be honest we would have walked by this bar as it is tucked away in a corner and by Janine's own admission could do with a lick of paint Do not be put off. You really need to visit and sample the quality of the homemade food.
Everything is cooked from scratch but is definitely worth the wait. We visited on the Sunday but nothing was left it is that popular for the Sunday lunches, we asked for the homemade Steak Pie and Janine went and made 4 we had to wait a fair bit of time but it was worth it 2 with homemade chips and gravy and 2 with mash potatoes delicious
It was that good we asked if we could book another 4 steak pies for few days later this time no long wait and again fantastic also homemade chocolate cake and apple crumble does not get any better.
I have paid far more for far less
It was so good we visited again on the Sunday, 3 times in 10 days never been known by us.
Janine see you early next year.

Great food friendly staff.Tooked in corner easy to miss.Maybe they should put a menu on a stand outside so people can see whats on offer and decide to go in.We nearly gave it a miss which would have been a shame.
Best sunday roast we have had in nearly 30 years abroad.

hi neil
thank you so much for your comments i am so glad you did come in , we have a couple of advertising boards outside the bar but we are not really allowed them, so it is not possible to put out a menu board wish we could ... hope to see you again soon.

We found this place almost by accident as it is tucked away somewhat but we are so happy we did find it. Janine is so welcoming. The food is excellent and you just have to try Janines steak or chicken pies, they are awesome, and don't even get me started on the scones lol... Well worth trying if you can find it. It is near a shoe shop called libra I think but it is up a couple of flights of stairs from the beach. Also the karaoke is good fun at night. Overall a local friendly British bar where everyone is happy to see you and have a smile on their faces which makes the holiday worthwhile. We were there June this year but have been before and I really wanted to let others know about this little gem. Jonathan and Michelle from Hull

Been to Tenerife six times now & only just discovered Christysbar tucked away off the sea front. Well all I can say is wish I found this place sooner. Janine the owner was superb, warm & welcoming.. And above all the food is all home cooked.. None of this bought in rubbish. We chose traditional roast dinners and they were just like your mum would make. Plentiful but leaves you wanting more as it's so tasty. I thoroughly recommend this place and will certainly be making returns visits in future! Thanks Janine.. Daz & Jay

The staff were very friendly, the food was cooked to order and delicious. I did mention to one of the staff that it was the best pub grub I ever tasted on the island and I wasn't lying. Its tucked away in a corner but I was lucky enough to stumble upon it but its well with looking for if your eating out. I'll definitely be back.
