Staying in the Santiago apartments meant that we were in close proximity to this restaurant so one evening decided to give it a try on the basis that it looked quite busy and vibrant.

We were not greeted by front of house so decided to take one of the empty tables in the outside area, once settled a waiter hastily took our drinks order and left us to our own devices for.....15 minuets.Upon arrival of the drinks our meal order was placed for starter and mains........45 mins later the Wrong starters arrived then 15 mins later... the Correct starters arrived, however I noticed that my soup was not quite right and decided to leave it after a couple of spoonfuls (Will come back to this later!!)
So after leaving the soup and wanting the main course at about 10PM the mains arrived and low and behold the Pizza Calzone was actually a new type of flattened version that looked like it had been taken out of the dustbin.Point blank refused it there and then and we left promptly without paying and no apologies from any staff.
After about an hour I started to feel pretty nauseous and went to bed,oh dear, then the cold sweats then the 7 hours of vomiting ensued and the realisation that the slightly iffy Minestrone Soup was most likely a plate of luke warm putrid botulism.

Avoid this stinking place at all cost!

We wanted to escape the noise of our hotel and wandered over to this small but obviously popular bistro. We enjoyed it so much that we came twice in the week. Our second meal confirmed our good opinion.

The menu has an Italian theme. The ingredients are good and it's well cooked and seasoned. First class pizza. The staff are friendly and attentive. A thre course meal with bread, wine and coffee will cost about €40 each.

My only criticism is that the house red is rough. The waiter persuaded us to try it in place of Sangre de Torro. We should have stuck with the Torres!

its a little restaurant tucked away down some steps but well worth a visit. The staff are very attentive and the food is very good and extremely reasonably priced. have been there before and would definitely go back next time I am in Las Americas

Have eaten at Sugar and spice many times, but not for a couple of years, so, we booked a table for 4 a week before we decided to return and were taking friends for the first time. Arrived Saturday 1st March at 7.25 pm for our table which was booked for 7.30, we had made the walk from Los Cristianos, our friends were really looking forward to it. As we approached the restaurant we could see that there were people sitting at the table we had booked indoors, We walked down the side as not wanting to cause a fuss, and had a word with the waiter, he looked in the diary, and said oh yes sorry, would you like this table instead, which was right underneath the bar, we said no thanks.............................we will not be visiting again. Too much choice of lovely places to eat, than to give your custom to a place that can't even keep the table that you reserve a week in advance.

We ate here twice during our recent holiday. The food was lovely, really good pizzas and my pasta dish was delicious. Found the waiters very helpful and experienced prompt service.
Would return for sure...
