Hi, Before I start a little about myself so you can understand where I am coming from. My wife and I are seasoned travellers who have travelled around the world, always staying at 4 star hotels.
This hotel is at best 2 star and not 4 star, even the travel companies are not sure what star it is from 3 to 4. depending on which brochure you look at
I had e mailed ahead to let them know it was my birthday and wedding anniversary asking if we could have a higher floor room adding that we had paid extra for a sea view, which I had been led to believe were their premium rooms.
We arrived with one other couple about 4pm to be greeted by a bar maid ,apparently their were no reception staff about??This person shouted at us to go into the bar area, No welcome drink why I do not know as their was no people in the bar, She then booked us in saying the lifts are over there you are in the 3rd floor ,no offers to help with the luggage or better directions, Anyway we found the lift and got to the 3rd floor room 306 as we walked along to room I tripped on a hole in a length of black rubber which had seen better days,All of the corridors are covered in this and all exactly the same with splits and holes everywhere so if you are unsteady on your feet be careful
Once inside our room we looked for the sea view and found a view that a Blackpool landlady would have described as a sea view<If you know what I mean>
we overlooked a communal yard used by 2 other hotels to put their rubbish and accept deliveries
from beer wagons etc, all hours of the day and night, there was also building work going on,not the quietest, I went and spoke to reception about a change of room ?? who said what did you expect go away. A nice bit of customer relations??
We looked for the restaurant and found a poolside bar complete with white plastic seats and tables, which we were told was the restaurant?? forget about wearing long trousers it appeared swimming shorts were the order of the day so you could have a dip part way through and leave a wet seat for the next user??
Next we went for the evening meal a bar b que or so it was supposed to be, the sausages were raw, as was the chicken, I think it was chicken that's what the guy with a chefs hat on said, I am not sure if he knew what he was doing,so we left and went out for a meal instead.
The next morning we went for breakfast, and found reconstituted meat bearing the label bacon one minute boiled eggs<raw>, partly fried eggs, omelettes welded onto the serving tray,do not expect fresh fruit or bread.
We tried the evening meal again it was a Spanish night but guess what it was the same food as the night before and no better with the same guy and hat,it was still cold instead of being even warm,
Do not expect to get any sleep the music so called entertainment,< my grandchildren sing better>,is of the type that the louder the better as it covers faults, and by day from 5am you have the noise of deliveries and building work
Enough was enough once we found a rep<our hotel only had one for one hour two days a week>
and arranged a flight home on the next flight after they said they could find an alternative hotel <that's another story>
Having read other reviews from those who liked it, which is their personal view, were they actually there????
ALL I CAN SAY IS DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS HOTEL AND IF YOU DO MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A WRITTEN COMPLAINT TO A REP BEFORE LEAVING RESORT

Room Tip: Do not go there

We stayed here for a week in a junior suite, pool view, half board a couple of weeks ago.
Having stayed in this area regularly over the last 15 years this is now going to be our first choice hotel.
The hotel, its staff, the rooms, the location, the cleanliness are all excellent.
The food is buffet style and is of good standard to be expected. The choice is varied and gives all tastes a chance.
A pool view room is suggested for peace an quiet though.
We will certainly return here hopefully over the xmas period.

Had a really good chill out time with 5 other 40 something's last week. Made to feel very welcome from the minute we checked in. The rooms were immaculate and cleaned everyday with fresh towels daily. All inclusive drinks were fine but did get a bit sick but had the option of paying 1euro to upgrade to premium per drink. Entertainment was drab. Food was constantly cold and were told that the bain Marie's had been like this for some time which didn't make me feel any better. Know a bit about food preparation and handling and temperature control to know you can not hold cooked food below 68oC for more than 1 hour. My guess it was there all day. Get the equipment fixed before someone is violently I'll and tell your staff to stop making excuses for you.

Room Tip: Get a pool view not like the one at the back which overlooked Delhi

Just returned from a week here. Overall this hotel was good. It is in a great location with the beach and the nightlife all within easy reach. The rooms are fresh and modern with a walk in shower but a pool view is a MUST otherwise you will be overlooking a scruffy residential side street. The Junior Suite is quite large enough for a couple for a week, although they sleep 3 with one on a sofa bed. There are bigger rooms on the corners of the building and are approx. twice the size. The rooms have twin single beds which is often the case in these holiday destinations but not great for a couple. They were very comfortable though. The blackout curtains are great for wanting a lie in when the sun is shining through the windows after a heavy night!

The food could do with improvement. The restaurant is called 'primekitchen' but it does overlook the pool and there are seats outside which was good. There are theme nights every evening so it did change but it was often not very hot, and in some cases stone cold!! The few days I did try a fired egg for breakfast they were always cold unless you got one straight off the hot slab.

We went half-board but noticed that for AI guests they still required to pay something for a lot of the drinks. Previously when we have gone AI at other hotels a larger selection are included. There were only 4 cocktails you could get on AI 'free'.

The pool is very nice to cool off in. Was cool without being too cold. The biggest disappointment for us was the shortage of sun loungers and parasols. The hotel has a policy of not reserving sun beds but does nothing to enforce it. Therefore, you have to get down very early to 'reserve' a sun bed and they quickly ran out. There were also not enough parasols for the number of loungers - there were several empty bases but no more parasols available. I have very sun sensitive skin, so needed a parasol to shelter from the sun and if I couldn't find one I had to return to the room! On our last day we had to leave for the airport at 3.30am and there were sun beds reserved then! It was so tempting to go down and throw all the towels in the pool but we didn't!

A big benefit of the hotel was the free Wi-Fi which was accessible in all areas, so was great for the iPad.

The hotel 'entertainment' was very poor but probably suffers from having so many other places to go to close by, so can't compete. The hotel did nothing to promote them so attendance was low.

So, to summarise, the hotel is in a great location but would not recommend half-board or AI as there are loads of places to go offering far better food and entertainment.

Room Tip: Ensure you request a pool view.

I think you would get better food in a 3* hotel. Food no more than luke warm, didnt taste awful but very little choice for dinner, no nice salad bar and desserts not worth having. Lots of choice at breakfast, but hot breakfasts pretty awful!

Sunbeds are the most uncomfortable beds I've ever come across, they would be ok with a mattress on top. Most sunbeds had towels on them by 10am and very close to each other. Nice pool but not enough room around it for the size of the hotel.

On a positive note, the rooms which are like a studio apartment are excellent, very roomy, kitchen and lounge area, two large wardrobes, brilliant shower, and large tv with uk channels. Great air-con too!

It is worth going to this hotel for the comfort of the rooms, but self catering would be best and use the beach rather than staying around the pool.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms are best.

Still here .. , reception staff very friendly and helpful , room excellent with a lovely balcony and nice sea view ( without binoculars ) sun terrace on roof brill. The only two things that let this hotel down are the entertainment and the food which is the worst I've ever eaten ( I could cook better out of an Army mess tin ) its cold ,dry and extremely tasteless with not a lot of choice . Please please can we have a miracle for an improvement

Room Tip: Ask for high floor sea view
