We chose this hotel as a part of our Tjareborg (Finnish Ving/Spies) holiday package and were a little nervous about spending an entire week in a 3-star hotel with mixed reviews on tripadvisor. Boy, were we wrong about it! The hotel was more of a 4-star hotel judging by the lobby, rooms and facilities. We were greeted at the reception with a glass of cold champagne and even had a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room. We decided not to pay for the better view and stayed at the cheapest room with the view on another hotel. Yes we could hear the bins being emptied in the morning, but we were normally already up so it didn't bother us. And besides with the balcony door shut you cannot really hear a thing!
Now to the breakfast. It was amazing, especially considering 3-star rating. Extensive choice of both hot and cold dishes. Excellent tasty options for everyone, better than you can get in 5-star Scandinavian hotels. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, salmon, breads and bakery - you name it. We were very happy and couldn't wait for the breakfast every morning.
We never ate lunch at the hotel but we had a 5-dinner package so we had dinner at the hotel 5 days out of 7. The food was excellent, tasty and very well presented. The package also included 2 glasses of wine, water and coffee with every meal. I cannot recommend this package enogh. Great value for money.
We also had New Year dinner at the hotel. It was 60 euro per person and was well worth it.
We used the spa facilities and they were amazing. Massages were heavenly and jacuzzi was a lot of fun. Not many people there even though the hotel was packed.
Of course there were no expensive toiletries in the bathroom, but I don't care about that and always bring my own skincare anyway. You also had to take off the sheets from bed if you wanted them to be changed, but it was no bother and we got our bedding changed whenever we felt like it. You also have to pay a small fee if you wish to change the beach towel and there are no laundromats at the hotel to wash you clothes.
The internet is super fast and free you just need to get your login details at the reception.
If we ever travel to Tenerife again, I would definetely stay here.

Room Tip: Don't pay extra for pool view.

Best winter Sunprime Ving/Spies has to offer. Short distance to both beach/shopping/restaurants and bars. Though the breakfast could be more extravagant , and the dinner buffet was a bit boring, the atmosphere was really good and relaxing. The instructors at the gym really made us work, and Daniel in the Prime Restaurant put a smile on our faces every morning! Rooms clean and tidy, and rooftop terrace really nice!

We looked for a luxury four star hotel for our one week stay in Tenerife. Our travel agent (Spies) rates the hotel a "4+" star hotel, but actually it is a three star hotel. This is somewhat misleading, and we later found out that the four stars is an internal travel agent rating. However, the hotel probably cannot be blaimed for this.

In spite of this we were all in all really satisfied with the hotel. Really nice pool area which was not overcrowded, lots of fitness activity possbilities and nice clean room. On the minus side is smoking being allowed at the pool, and as our room was placed low on the front road-side of the hotel, there was some traffic noise, when the balcony door was open. We were satisfied with the hotel breakfast, but would otherwise not recommend eating at the hotel restaurant. As the hotel name says the hotel has som spa facilities, but this is not open for all guests as you have the pay for these extra facilities.

Room Tip: Rooms low on the road-side may be noisy because of traffic

The main thing that attracted me to this hotel was the fact it was an adult only hotel and the boutique style appeared very trendy. It didn't let us down! The hotel was a 5 min walk to the beach and a ten min walk to the busy clubs and pubs strip. Inside the hotel is fab! Nicer than the pictures. Very modern and is different from your typical holiday hotel that usually terrible flowery curtains and cheap decor. The hotel supplied you with huge beach towls and the maid service was brill they even washed up our dishes. The bedroom was huge and the bathroom was gorgeous, marble decor everywhere with a large shower and rainforest shower head. We took one of the pool view suites and on a b&b package. Honestly the only bad reviews about this place is because of the full board packages. The food isn't great but personally I never stay full board. I prefer to go for walks at night and find a nice restaurant. Which we did - Alexandria. The Italian restaurant on the way to the Veronicas strip. Highly recommend it! The oly other thing is the terrible night music that starts about 7 can be heard all over the hotel - got a bit annoying when we were chilling in the room before we headed out! Many a time I wanted to strangle the Elvis impersonator! haha. There is also a roof terrace, perfect to chill out in peac with huge sun loungers & couches. Overall we loved the hotel. I would definitely choose this over the many 4 & 5 star hotels we sneaked into to have a peak. If we visit Tenerife again it will be our first option no doubt.

Room Tip: choose pool view to get away from noise on the side streets. Don't stay full board, only b&b...

we stayed at the sunprime in september and were one of the unlucky people to get shipped out to the compostella beach for 3 nights as we were told there was a problem with a burst pipe and some rooms were out of use. we booked an all inclusive package with jet2 and were told by other guests who had booked through different tour operators they had been informed about the problem before flying, we had received no such information with jet2. after spending 3 uncomfortable nights with no air con at compostella beach we eventually got a room at sunprime, the only compensation we received from the hotel was a free safe and free wi fi, other guests had an upgrade to all inclusive but we had already paid for this option.
we always stay in 4 or 5 star hotels and this hotel does not warrant it's 4 stars. everything was average: pool area, food, drinks and entertainment .
would not stay again and would not reccomend !!!!!

designs of the rooms, good wardrobe space, lots of mirrors, good selection of food, bottled water in all inclusive, toasted sanwiches available in between lunch and dinner, water aerobics!

Dislikes:
Lunch buffet a bit repetative, alcaholic drinks very cheap and cocktails tasted like syrup, reception staff didnt understand english very well at times, reception staff didnt fix problems - leaking shower that flooded bathroom floor and missing key from balcony door - we were on the ground floor - took 2 days to get a key!
Pool area a bit small and sun didnt get round the pool til gone ten! people were resrving beds with towels at 7.30 and 8am! evening enetertainment was poor. the waitors were very slimey and tried to chat us up and invite themselvs to our rooms - young groups of girls be ware!

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor poolside room

We stay in this hotel in October on an all incluvise basis & it was really good. The food was really nice but not a great chose but some thing for everyone. The sun bed & pool where great & they even provided a massive beach towel for the pool side. Entertainment was not great at night but you are located in a great spot for the strip (bars) only 5 minutes walk.
