“not bad for the money”
Reviewed July 9, 2010

A bit tired (have seen worse). Cleaners came in every day. Desk staff extremely helpful. Bar/restaurant staff were efficient and polite. Food edible if somewhat repetitve, but no stomach upsets and didn't go hungry. The majority of guests were middle aged, with some younger parties, and families. 5-15 min stroll left or right along a pleasant sea front to night clubs or a large selection of bars and restaurants. A bit annoying were the street sellers and the bar PR people. Overall, a nice place and a good hotel. If we ever go back to Tenerife (so many other places to see) this hotel/area would definitely be considered, but bearing in mind that staff and and places do change.

Went with a friend for a week of relaxation & thats exactly what we got at the Bonanza. Studio apartments are only really big enough for 2 not 3. Very clean, cleaning staff in every day with fresh towels. Had no cockroches although we did hear from another group who were on the 3rd floor & they had the little buggers pay a visit every night. Lunch time menu was good but the breakfast awful. Staff very friendly & helpful. Security guard on reception every night so felt safe. Pool was nice & cushions for the sun loungers were available for €1.50 a day. Found a fantastic Italian resort 5mins walk from the hotel on the sea front called "Dante Alighieri", would definitely recommend it if you like good food a great prices.

Stayed here in Oct 07 with a friend for a cheap girly holiday. Spent a lot of time by the pool (and in it) which was perfect. Room was small but clean and adequate. Very basic but that's what we expected. Was in a good location too... a pleasant ten minute stroll from the main "strip" and only five minutes to the beach. No noise at night as were not on the main road.

We had a great holiday. Cheap and cheerful :-) You get what you pay for to be honest.

Weather was FANTASTIC every day and we enjoyed the sunsets at night. Nightlife was quiet but that was 'cos it was end of season. It's a bit tacky in most of the bars but everyone knows that is what Playa De Las Americas is like. Lots of nice places to eat.

It's ideal for couples and groups of friends... I personally wouldn't take a family here with young children as I feel it's more adult themed.

The first impression was very disappointing. It looked old and very small. But I learned to love it. Most important thing is that the cleaning ladies were very good at their jobs. It was very clean. And the staff in general was very, very helpfull and friendly. I basically have nothing to complain about. It is a very calm, quiet hotel. Do not expect any party. Mostly elderly people.

Ivan in the reception is a nice you man who speaks german fluently. Also the guy's in the restaurant are great.

Food is ok, nothing too spectacular.

We were there in late december and there was plenty of room in the pool. So no problem there.

The Hotel is situated in a good place. About 15 min from the main street Veronicas and the sea.

I didnt like central Playa de las Americas too much though. The area around the hotel was quiet and nice, but Veronicas is a shady street with people constantly trying to get you into restaurants and africans trying to sell drugs and watches. Very annoying. If it wasnt for them it would be a great place.

nice hotel, worth the money we paid. swimming pool was ok, in november not many people about so was able to get by the pool easily, also beaches nearby were very good and clean. only a 10 minute walk to the main strip of veronicas, there are some decent bars nearby. head for san eugenio in the opposite direction for a bit more entertainment aimed at the slightly older market and better food. look our for marfil restaurant in san eugenio, good food and good prices too!!

Stayed for 4 nights and was pleasantly surprised how good the hotel was for the money. I paid £19 per night for a studio and was asked if i would like a free upgrade to a 1 bed apt with pool+sea view on my arrival. Staff were very friendly and helpful - greeted with a smile. The room was basic as you would expect but was clean and the bed sheets / towels were clean also. If you are on a budget and want a hotel in a good location - about 10 min walk to nearest beach, but in a location just tucked away from all the noise, then the Bonanza is ideal.
