“Family Holiday”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

Just returned from a weeks holiday with my husband and 3 children in interconnecting rooms at La Dalias. We had a lovely holiday, however encountered a few problems on arrival, we were welcomed with a drink on arrival and told to go and have a meal as it was 9pm when we arrived. After this we were then allocated our room which we were not happy with due to a musty smell. We were then moved to the 2nd floor, and the rooms were nice with large balconies, however we then encountered ants around the bedside table in one of the rooms. This was dealt with immediately be reception. We didn't have a first great nights sleep due to very hard mattresses and even harder pillows. I went down to reception at 9am the next morning and again this was dealt with immediately and all mattresses and pillows were replaced by comfortable mattresses and pillows which is what you expect from a 4* hotel.
Apart from the initials problems which were dealt with promptly by reception, everything else was lovely. The hotel and pool area was very clean, the food was lovely with a good selection. We found the staff at the reception, bars and restaurant to be excellent. Our room was cleaned thoroughly every day with fresh towels.
We were also allowed to keep our bands and rooms until we checked out to compensate for the problems we encountered on arrival.
Although I have given this an overall rating of very good, I feel that if the management invest in upgrading the rooms and changing all mattresses and pillows then I would definitely rate this as excellent!
I would recommend this hotel and we intend to return for another family holiday.

Room Tip: 2nd floor overlooking the pool had good size balcony's. Also 3rd floor overlooking pool had ver...

We have just returned from 10 days half board stay a week ago , after our sixth visit to this hotel in the last two years & we are missing the hotel & all the friendly staff already . Our welcome at the speedy check-in was very friendly as usual with a cool glass of champers on arrival . A big thanks especially to Rosi & Whitney on the front desk . We got our pool view as requested on the fifth floor . Rooms are a bit dated but you are not in them for long .

The hotel overall was very clean , both inside & round the pool area . The hotel has been spruced up with some new furniture & paintings .

The food we found was very good again & have probably gained a few pounds or so . The restaurant staff were great & our waiter had our table ready for us each evening . The chefs were always willing to cook our food to our liking .... .. .... much appreciated . There was always a great selection of cold & hot food morning & evening . Although the hotel was quite full , the restaurant staff coped well in carrying out all their duties .

We have to mention Colin & the rest of the gang ( animation team ) who worked tirelessly day & night putting on a couple of great shows ..... try to see the Rock Show if you can .

As with all the staff , the Bar staff were so friendly & at times funny . Must mention a couple of names for special praise for looking after us so well on this & previous visits ------ Alex & Paval for all the luvly cocktails & especially the numerous Irish Coffes I enjoyed after dinner most evenings . Also a very young bar lady called Malana ( I think ) .

Over all this is a great value for money hotel that I would happily recommend to any of my family or friends for a relaxing holiday in Tenerife .

FINALLY I WOULD LIKE TO WISH ALEX ( THE BAR MAN ) A VERY SPEEDY RECOVERY FROM HIS RECENT ILLNESS .

We can't wait to return to this hotel --- the sooner the better .

Room Tip: Pool view on 5th floor upwards are better

Great time in las dalias one thing lets it down thy poor quality pool towels take one of your own and use the hotel one on top. Entertainment not the greatest but there are a few wee bars nearby we were quite happy to go out or stay in. Had a great time overall. This was our second visit we will definitely be back! !

We booked for a week but then extended our holiday by four days, upgrading our room half way through the period. From the moment of arrival, we found the staff absolutely first class, reception, room maid, restaurant and poolside. All were friendly and attentive. Top marks.
The food was very good and plentiful and although its true that the beds and rooms are 'tired' the cost just about reflects this. We moved from 641 to 439 for a much better position but a greatly inferior shower! No pressure and sudden temperature changes made showering a chore.
Quite a few of the main English TV channels and Wifi in the room are not promoted well enough by the hotel and plenty of live UK sky Sport in nearby bars, like Temple Bar about 150 mtrs away. Shops next door very convenient but a steep climb back from the seafront. Bus stop very nearby.

Room Tip: In the 400's the showers are a problem. In the 600's the bar music can be heard very loudly...

Returned from Easter break fully relaxed after another wonderful week at this hotel. Yes the beds are uncomfortable, the rooms need updating but the overall experience in this hotel is fab. The food is plentiful and good drinks.
Like many guests we have returned several times and the main reason is for the entertainment team... One word...fantastic!!!! Each and everyone adds there own personality to the team and each one works 110% to ensure guests have fun. Our son was happy which makes us happy.
Overall we met some lovely people, had some lovely weather and plenty laughs... Which is why we will be back there in 6 weeks for another week.
Well done las dalias.

We have just returned from a two week stay all inclusive at the Las Dalis hotel and couldn't have had a more enjoyable holiday. The all inclusive package truly means ALL inclusive with food and drinks available throughout the whole day. The standard of food was bar far the best we have encountered having traveled to Tenerife before as well as Crete and Egypt this package was above par. The best thing about the hotel was the animation team who made our holiday that extra bit special, it was very busy but they still remembered everyone's names and they tailored all activities to all nationalities and ages, we would like to say a special thank you to the whole team who were fantastic, Antony, Collin, Angelo, Stefano, Melissa, Charlotte and Cheyenne (and any others I may have missed!) we can't sing their praises enough.

We traveled over Easter which meant the hotel was very busy and it was often hard to get a seat to watch the evening entertainment but if you are travelling in the summer period the entertainment takes place on the stage outside so that shouldn't be a problem.

The hotel is located a short walk to the beach and a 30 minute walk into Las Americas which has a great nightlife (around 5euros in a taxi). We took a trip to Loro Parque booked through Thomas Cook which we really enjoyed and would definitely recommend for all ages. We will definitely be returning to this hotel. Thank you!

Room Tip: Would recommend a pool view as they get the sun all day

My partner and myself who at the time were 20, this was our first holiday together! we stayed May 2012 for 7 nights half board through Thomas Cook.

My first impression of the hotel when the bus pulled up was a bit disappointing as it just looked like a dull white building..HOWEVER once inside I couldn't be more wrong - do not judge a book by its cover springs to mind!!

Lovely reception staff - free booze on arrival - who doesn't like that?!

Paid around 25 euros for safe hire for the week - worth it for piece of mind.

Room was spacious enough, decor slightly dated but not important - our room however faced the road which was where the taxi rank was - although must say never kept us awake. Only problem with the room was our bathroom had a bit of ant problem and to be fair reception sent someone up while we were at breakfast and it was dealt with swiftly!

Food - my partner is the fussiest of eaters! Everything must be plain - and he never went hungry! Chips, pasta & pizza were on offer every night. I loved the breakfast everything from traditional fry ups, to cereal, fresh fruit & breads and pancakes with sauces (my favorite) Since we were half board we had to buy drinks - coke 1.50 euros. Cocktails and beers were offered and wine on tap.

Seemed to be a lot of entertainment on during the day for children although myself and my partner did get involved in a game of giant bowling! Went out for drinks each night so never saw any hotel entertainment to comment although there was something on every night.

We bought twin tickets for Siam & Loro parque and this cost us roughly 60 euros - do not buy from rep as they charge a bomb for it! - we bought from one of the outlets along the beach which is a 5 minute walk away.

Bars & restaurants within 5 minutes walk - loved scotch corner & Harleys (great for live music & cocktails - American diner style)

Overall this hotel was a really good choice, excellent location, staff approachable and food well above average and cooked fresh in front of you! I hope to return here sometime soon.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms will experience less noise!
