“No bad reports from me”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

We were a bit thoughtful of this hotel after what some people had told us, we booked a weekend here so it didn't really matter too much as long as we could "get our head down"
But we were pleasantly surprised,it is much better than the dark images portrayed by people we know. We stayed Friday till Tuesday on an A/Inc. basis, our friend were all staying in different hotels etc., The food was very good, the staff very pleasant, and overall, we were more than happy with our stay, we didn't make the most of the A/inc.because we were out and about,
The only downside was, although the pool area was very clean, and a lovely big pool as well, the area around wasn't big enough and it did seem a cramped at times
But if anyone tells you this hotel is not up to much, I suggest....TRY IT YOURSELF AND SEE

stayed here in march this year with my sister and elderly mother. we had a room that was essentially intended for 2 people. they had squeezed a camp type bed in between to singles. view from the balcony was poor but we didnt spend much time in the room so it didnt really matter. hotel is in a brilliant location just 5 mins walk from the sea and shops. food was always good and a wide choice. not ideall for disabled though as we had to drag our cases up two sets of stairs! only about 3 steps each flight but not easy with a heavey suitcase. Pool area was a bit cramped too many sunbeds crammed in. staff friendly exept for one waiter who told us off for using the wrong door in the reateraunt even though there were no signs to tell us we wernt supposed to use it and other guest used it too!

Okay so I arrived here april the 14th-21st 2013.. the room wasn't great and had two single beds me and my partner had to push together and they wasn't the best and very uncomfortable, we had to pay to watch the tv although we dont go on holidays to watch tv my partner was ill one of the days and ended up spending alot of money on it. The veiw wasnt amazing as we had to watch a couple opposite who had a very heated fight which 6 coppers in the end came and removed them. When sleeping you can hear everything in the corridors which will wake you up, we went all inclusive and tbh it wasnt much cop we ended up eating out there wasn't much there all basic and not the best , the pool area even though it was crowded and struggled to get beds because people would reserve them and not turn up for a while it was a lovely pool but in the end someone got so drunk he ended up spewing in the pool , the hotel was in a nice area and things was easy to get to the staff was helpful the entertainment wasn't the best in the nights either I would return to tenerife but would never stay here again ...

We stayed at Las Piramides Resort from 2nd April - 9th April.
Weather was lovely and it was so central to everything. Bit of a dash for a sunbed on a morning but there seemed to be enough to go around. Room was very basic but okay. No hairdryer though and couldn't even rent one from reception so make sure you take one with you. The bed was not comfortable at all but that's my only gripe really. The food was lovely especially the grilled chicken which we thought tasted like Nandos chicken.
Not really any entertainment to speak of but we tended to go out anyway.
We booked last minute and though it was all very basic we still had a lovely holiday.

We stayed here on an all inclusive basis! After vouching years ago that I would never do a 3 star all inc holiday in Europe, we booked last minute and got cought at a vulnerable time and ended up booking over the phone and seemed to pay double for our holiday than anybody else we met! We decided to go with an open mind despite some bad reviews and just make the most of it. My main problem was the food, didn't expect too much as been on these all inc hols before, but this was just shocking! The food was the same everyday with maybe a different choice of neat but all the garnished etc remained the same throughout. Not only was the food boaring, samey, over cooked, Luke warm and bland but some bizarre concoctions! One night we had beef with tin peaches, cold brussels sprout and cheese salad! Basically what ever was left from breakfast somehow would find its way into the evening meal...... Rank!!! We ended up either eating out or not eating at all, not great when the holiday cost £1,400! Drinks were ok, strong measures but again cheap products that were like paint stripper and left you with a rotten hangover! Like anywhere you had to que for ages at the bar and only get 2 drinks at a time, the beer is less than a half pint measure so you up and down to the bar like a yoyo! Staff friendly enough and rooms adequate! Poor entertainment until last night when saw a massive fight in the corridor right outside our room! Police turned up in force and battered one guy to s pulp with truntions... Pretty scary experience but 1st bit of excitement in a week! Would not come back all inclusive but then I don't think I'd do all inclusive again, that's my personal preference though, others on the same holiday enjoyed all the things we didn't! I'd rate overall 2 out of 5!

We stayed from 6th to 13th April during the Easter Holidays and didn't have a problem getting sun beds on the few days we stayed at the pool, they don't open the pool area until 9am but we never found too many people queuing when we arrived at that time (the problem was the loud guests by the pool with unruly teenagers who seemed to get served booze without question). We preferred to go to the beach, the closest nice one is over a bridge behind the Veronica's strip, which was less than 10 minutes walk away (take the small walkway opposite the hotel entrance as a shortcut) you will be offered massages every 15 minutes though by several Thai's! We also went to another beach just a little further right where we were left alone and if you want another quiet prettier beach walk left towards Los Cristianos along the coastline for about 20 minutes.
The reason I said not to opt for All Inclusive is that the food and drink outside the hotel is so cheap, 1 euro a pint and lots of buy one get one free deals and there are some great live bands to enjoy. (whereas the pool bar area with animal presentations was poor and not for us). I recommend live music at the Sax Bar, Shananaghans and the Dublin Bar (which were all close together and only 5 minutes away, or for a good laugh go see Crystal Star the drag queen at the Wigan Bar (the road opposite Veronica's Strip).
The food at the hotel was ok but not great, it's very repetitive and not a lot of variety, especially for kids. Plastic cups don't bother me too much, we could understand with the rowdy crowds staying there that it was probably a safety issue.
The rooms were very basic but the worse thing was no air conditioning! I'm glad we were not there in the summer!
On our last day we paid 30 euros to keep our room until our evening pick up and this included the All Inclusive which was great. The staff were friendly, quite a few are English, which I soon discovered Tenerife is pretty much populated by English!
So if you want a cheap, basic no frills hotel in a great location then this will probably suit you but if you prefer a few nice comforts then if you haven't already booked go elsewhere. Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje seemed much nicer areas but close enough to walk to Playa de las Americas if you want a lively night.

Room Tip: They have some photographs of luxury rooms so must have them somewhere! See if you can get one of th...
