Las Piramides
Reviewed October 10, 2011

The Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms have all the basic needs but lacks air conditioning (although large Fans can be hired from Reception). The Balconies are a friendly way of meeting others because of the pyramid shape of the Hotel we found ourselves chatting in the early evening with our neighbours in other rooms to the sides and above and below. Well situated and close to many Bars and restaurants - Just 200 yards away from a major pick-up point for all the excursions available on the island. A 5 minute walk from 'The Strip' for those that want to enjoy themselves into the early hours!
The All Inclusive package is basic and satisfactory - plenty of Beer and local spirits in plastic and paper cups - which is an excellent idea when you think that all the activities centre around the pools and there is no risk of broken glass.
The food is adequate although the menu selection does not differ greatly from day-to-day. The meal times are generous and the snacks available through the day will ensure that nobody goes hungry.
There is no entertainment to speak of in the evenings apart from some animal and parrot shows - beware the 'rip-off' of allowing your photograph to be taken with a parrot on your shoulder or on your children's shoulders - you will be charged 10 Euro for a photograph (and it is just that - a photograph in a brown envelope at reception the next day)
Overall, it was a good 10 day holiday and we met some very nice people in this friendly and relaxed hotel. Don't book this Hotel if you have really high expectations because it is not a 4-Star. If you want a value for money hotel with a friendly and relaxed ambience then Les Piramides is a good place to stay.

after reading all the bad reviews i felt i had to comment as my partner and i have have just returned from a weeks stay and we were pleasantly surprised how friendly and helpful the staff were. Everywhere was spotlessly clean including our room, the food was good. The only downside was the queuing for a drink in the evening need more than two bar staff and lack of
entertainment in the evening. The location is excellent so you don't have to go far to find evening entertainment outside the complex. We liked it so much we definitely will go back.

Room Tip: first floor overlooking third pool with the water feature and baby pool

I would never normally bother writing a review but after reading all the negative reviews before my holiday i felt i should put something down so that anyone going on holiday soon might feel a bit better about the hotel. I have just returned from a week all inclusive and after reading the very damning reports on here before i went i was very worried about the holiday. However, im pleased to say the people who have posted negative reports must be in the minority. The rooms were fine, no air con but i knew that before i booked. I never saw any cockroaches and the room was clean and tidy - no complaints at all. There was nothing wrong with the meals - typical all inclusive buffet so you could always find something to eat at all meal times. There was never a need to buy a meal away from the hotel. There were very nice hot dogs and pizza on for snacks between breakfast and dinner, and i preferred these to getting up for breakfast because they were lovely. Hot dogs had never tasted so good. I was worried about it being a 'young 18 - 30 place' especially as i was there as a 40th birthday present. But there was a mixed bag of guests, a very wide age range from the very young to the more senior age group and i never heard any noise at all in the early hours. And the location is perfect - just 5 mins from the beach and the nightlife -without being too close. The only down side really was the lack of evening entertainment but when you are surrounded by nightlife it was nice to have a few quiet drinks before heading out into the resort. We had a great holiday and i would certainly book here again - no complaints at all.

after reading some of the bad reviews we were really dredding stopping at piramides but it is nothing like the reviews the rooms are clean and there is plenty of space. the pools are always spotless and it is in the middle of everything so you dont have to travel far at all to find what you want. the only bad comment we have is some nights it can be a little bit noisy from june to september.

Room Tip: try to get one other than ground floor as the cocroaches tend to go in them ones if you leave the ba...

1 week from 18/9-25/9 2011, all inclusive with my wife. First time going all inclusive and have to say too much food, we missed lunch everyday because we would not have eaten the evening meal there was a good choice and you would have been hard not to find something you liked.
Arrived early Sunday evening and the receptionist could not have been more helpful our room was clean and tidy and but we wanting one on the ground floor and this was given to us with no fuss at all. The only down side to this hotel is a lack of air-con there is no ventilation in the rooms it was hard to get cool during the night. You could rent a air-con unit for 70 euros if you wished.
First time in Tenerife and although I enjoy the week I must admit I did prefer the evenings in Benidorm. Lots of walking which was great and a smashing pub very close to the hotel called "CARRIAGES" run by Ian & Claire a very friendy couple who are lovely to chat with and it was good just sitting there with a cool beer or soft drink we did have a meal there just to make a change from being all inclusive and the food was great, prices very reasonable and volka is the real stuff!!!

Room Tip: Try and book rooms 1001-1018 if its a quiet stay in the hotel as its located next to the quieter po...

Travelled with Hubby, Daughter (17) and 2 of our freinds we all found the hotel really good, the food was great in particular the breakfasts- fish, beef, pork and chicken dishes everyday with loads of rice pasta and salad to choose from, there's also a microwave if your foods not as hot as you'd like. we had a room that had a single bed in the lounge area ,(which was great as were expecting a sofabed) and a twin room, the towels were changed everyday, and the beds made.

The staff were freindly, and we didn't have a problem getting more than one drink at the bar, yes you might have to queue but i don't find that a problem.

There were groups of youngsters around the hotel but we didn't have a problem with them and didn't hear any noise at night (maybe we were lucky).

Only seen one cockroach during our stay and thankfully it wasn't in our room.

The pool area is left extremely untidy, but I wouldn't say this has anything to do with the hotel staff but lazy folk not clearing away their rubbish when leaving the area, and no it wasn't just the youngsters.

all in all we had a great time and thought it was fantastic value for money and would def consisder returning.
