Just returned from 2 weeks in Tenerife where we stayed at the H10 Las Palmeras.
Hotel although rated by H10 group as a 4* is more in line with 3*. We stayed on an all inclusive basis and was initially surprised by the choice available on both the food and drink.

Staff:
Staff at the hotel work vey hard, especially at meal times. Bar staff seem particularly busy and short staffed and at busy periods there's an extensive queue for drinks, partly due to cocktails being made, which takes up most of their time. Although the ladies are far more attentive than the men to the guests, while the men continually use the bar service to chat to friends etc leaving queues to get longer the ladies are continually serving & cleaning! All in all the bar area requires to be staffed more.

Room:
we booked a double room and was given what appeared to be a basic room, initially we were supposed to have our daughter (18yr old) on holiday with us but change of mind and she did not come, we asked the hotel if this room was meant to accommodate 3 adults and was told yes, no way could 3 adults sleep in this room and this will be addressed in a formal complaint to the hotel, travel company & agent. We were actually given a double room as a check out room to have a shower etc before departure.

Hotel:
maid service every day, clean and tidy.
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
TV but a €10 deposit required for remote.
A small fridge supplied but an extortionate €12 (minimum) to unlock it, while being all inclusive they charge you for 6 drinks to open this, drinks included all other times!
A/C which even stays on with door open.
24hr reception plus security.
Gym, child's soft play area, Internet access, hairdresser/nail salon, newsagent.
3 bars.
Large diner seating 550 people.

Pool:
Pool area cleaned daily and open from 8am - 730pm.
Reserving sun loungers is forbidden and towels etc will be removed.
Snack area including bar - Ice lollies payable even with all inclusive.
Lifeguard.

Surrounding area:
Usual tacky shops - souvenirs etc - watch out for fakes, even in shops.
Looky Looky men every couple hundred yards selling the usual "bling bling" for "much cheapness" taking umbrage at the word NO!
Veronica's area (clubs for the young ones) approx 10-15 minute walk from hotel.
Beach a 2 minute walk.
Check out Jags (Scottish family bar) great home cooked food and friendly atmosphere.
Los christianos (Originally a small fishing village) only 30 minute walk.

If we were to return here I'd make sure we were either self catering or B&B.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel one of the best we have stayed in. Food was so good champagne breakfast every morning, lunch and dinner; every dish was fantastic didn't have a bad meal. Pools were great and never had a problem finding sunbeds. Hotel beach not amazing but there are better beaches a 10 min walk away. Entertainment of night was okay we just stayed for mini disco didn't manage to see shows due to tired 2 year old. Rooms were great and huge I would recommend paying extra for sea view. Can't praise staff enough all cleaners, restaurant staff, entertainment, pool/maintain e staff all so friendly nothing is to much.

Just returned from two weeks all inclusive, the positives for this hotel include it's location, right on the patch and backing onto the beach it is perfectly situated for getting out and about. Check in was slow, reception could benefit from additional staff when they know guests are arriving, there is a long wait if you are already there and want to ask reception a question when new guests arrive! Food was plentiful and available throughout the day, you certainly will not go hungry here!! Staff all deserve 10/10, nothing is too much trouble for them and they do work very hard.
We had a sea view room which is definately recommended, furniture and bathroom could benefit from refurb as was looking old, aware that some rooms have already been done but ours was not one of these. Drinks include many branded spirits although you need to ask for them by name. Couple of things let the pool bar down, for the first week and most of the second week there were no coasters for glasses or ashtrays, a plastic cup with water was given - not what I would expect from a hotel rated as this is.
Had a couple of problems with the room but once reported these were rectified very quickly.
Downside was day of departure, check out is by noon, we were not being picked up until 5.30 and were told that the all inclusive also ended at noon - as we did not arrive until late evening on the first day it would be a nice gesture if the hotel offered continuation of the all inclusive until your pick up.
Cleanliness cannot be faulted and rooms cleaned daily, beautifully manicured landscaped pool area. Those reserving sun beds and not occupying until afternoon were not always challenged although notices said this was the case, as we were early risers this did not hinder us but there were people trying to get a bed and unable to due to those reserved. Animation team were funny and did try and involve everyone but did not press if you did not want to join in.
All in all a lovely relaxing two weeks, would return.

Room Tip: High floor with a sea view definately worth the extra

My husband and I spent 2 weeks here from 1st September. over all it was excellent. We opted for all inclusive, and service, food, room, reception, pool areas, dining room, Italian Restuarant ( included in all inclusive) all were amazing..Hotel was situated between main street and beach promenade you have the best of both worlds.Costa Adeje, Los Christianos, and Porto Calon all within walking distance..Entertainment was fairly good too.,My only moan is that during the summer months when the entertainment is outside, views are limited of the acts performing, as they perform on the dance floor and tables at the back cant see the acts..Definately worth a return visit..

Room Tip: higher up rooms with sea view quieter with brilliant views

We arrived on Tuesday 3rd September for our honeymoon to be told we were in a bungalow instead of our room and they would change us the next day and compensate us., The bungalow was out of this world!!! Next day they moved us to another lovely room with sea view and we got a bottle of champagne, chocolates and fruit since this was our honeymoon. Couldn't fault this hotel, food was fab!! So much to choose from, I've since put on 1 stone and 8 pounds whilst being here. All inclusive is definitely the way to go, all the alcohol was great, ask for Smirnoff vodka though otherwise they don't give you it. Perfect location and the staff are so friendly. Our room and towels were cleaned every day without having to put a Room Tidy on our door.
We are definitely coming back next year with our children this time!!
Thank you for making our honeymoon extra special!
