“Brilliant and will go back”
Reviewed March 3, 2011

Me and my boyfriend stayed June 2010 for 10 days, and loved it!
It is in a great location where everything is close and in walking distance, however it is at the top of 3 large hills you have to walk up, but that is something you do get used to (also there is a secret exit from the back of the pool area, where you just cut across a main road and avoid any hills - unfortunatley we only discovered this on the last day!) Our rooms we comfortable with a nice balcony space. perfect size for the 2 of us. cleaning service was great. The bath was very small though (ideal for short people or children!!)
The service from the staff was great, and they were all friendly. Watch out for guillermo, he is great!
The food was ok, breakfast is best, but not really great for your evening meals, especially if your half board, you had to wait til around 8pm before you could go in. Not alot of variety unfortunatley... (wouldn't advise if you are considering All In)
Pool area is awesome! Very big, and music always playing, and activites if you want to join in - picture i have uploaded doesn't really do it justice!
The bar area also great, where they held BBQ nights, lots of music and evening entertainment - altough childrens entertainment did dominate! We stayed whilst world cup was on and they had 3 screens and played all the matches!
Make sure you go to siam park, and loro park - but take pack lunch... VERY expensive food and drink.
There is a great Waterpark called Aqualand just opposite which is a great day out, about a 20 minute walk away.
Veronicas - where all the main nightlife is - is about 10 mins away in the taxi and was only 7 euros.
Overall loved the holiday and hotel, and will definatley return! Great for all, and money well spent.

When we got their we thought oh gosh what a walk to the apartments!! but actually non were bad to walk to! we asked for top floor (just because of the noise) and we expected a very long walk up stairs but it took us litrally 1 minute from reception! I wouldnt reccomend the middle apartments if you dont like noise! We stopped in A8 we had a brilliant room, really clean and fab view of the sea! which by the way looks miles away but it cost us 3 euros in a taxi to fanebe beach! The hotel says its las americas but it costs 7 euros to the main town but only 3 euros to fanebe which by the way has amazing food and a nice beach. More for familys n the oldies no teenage rebels which was great! Every body who went all inclusive hated the food so i wudnt reccomend that! but we paid 8 euros for breakfast there each morning and it was nice! you have a short walk to bars/restraunts which are pretty cheap tbf! nice mc donalds in fanebe too ;)!! hotels balconys were great because you had nobody over looking any of them so they were quite private which is nice. Entertainment on a night i cant really comment because we were never at the hotel, theres just so much to do!! The aqua park is 2 mins from the hotel and is great for the little ones! I would defo reccomend loro park if you go to tenerife its amazing! i would reccomend the maxi cat boat ride if you can get a bit sea sick. i felt ill the whole time but the dolphins swimming next to the boat well that made it well worth while!! The pool at the hotel is amazing, really big and clean but OMG its freezingggggggg!!!!! little kids pool too which was nice. we made lots of friends every body we met were really friendly! our room key was an actual key so we didnt have problems but some people with the cards did, so maybe request a room with an actual key!! 5 euros forthe safe which is massive and i would strongly reccomend putting straighters, hairdryers etc in the safe. a few people had theirs stolen!! the cleaners were great , our lil one made a right mess every day and they cleaned it up great! 3 times a week they change your towels which are pretty big and clean!!! they changed our sheets once which was fine. honestly this hotel made our holiday it was fab and would defiantly go again!!

We arrived not knowing what to expect for our weeks all inclusive holiday after reading the reviews on here. The apartments were basic but clean. The apartments grounds were clean and tidy. The food was Ok and if you are not a fussy eater there was something that you could eat, there was also food the children would eat. The only downside to the holiday was you were only allowed one drink at a time and you could not even get your partner a drink. In the disco bar you had to take back your empty glass to get another drink which was a pain. The all inclusive stopped at 10.30pm. it was advertised that you could get snacks from the pool bar which turned out to be a sandwich which consisted of two slices of dried bread with ham and cheese on which you had to ask for and if there was any a piece of cake. It was the same for the whole week, this not what I would call a snack. The ice cream was only available in the restaurant or you had to pay for it. In the restaurant in the evening men have to wear long trousers. The weather was hot in the daytime and a little cooler in the evening but you did not have to wear a jacket.

Just arrived back today after a weeks stay in Laguna Park 2. We were very worried about going to this hotel after reading some of the reviews, but it turned out the bad reviews probably helped me enjoy the holiday as I went there expecting the worst and had a really great holiday.

Ok, so the hotel is built on the side of a hill and there is a short walk up a hill to the reception & disco bar , I am in my late fifties and I had no problem with this, (if you have ever stayed in the Dunas Mirador Hotel in Maspalomas you will know what a hill is) .

The rooms were very clean and the maid came in most days, yes you did have to pay extra if you wanted to watch TV, but to be honest we did not miss the TV as we were not really in the room long enough to watch it.

There was no problem getting a sun bed as long as you were at the pool before 09:30 after that all the beds were covered with towels. There is a cost of one euro 20 cents if you want to get a mat for the bed , which I thought was reasonable if I was using the bed all day.

The restaurant food was always very hot but not a lot of selection although we always managed to get something that we enjoyed, the food got better by the end of the week as the hotel got busier. The staff in the restaurant were excellent always greeted you with a warm welcome especially if you took the time to talk to them, look out for Alex .

The all inclusive finishes at 2230 and yes you will only get one drink at time at the bar, which was probably the most disappointing part of our stay but once you get to know the staff if you take back 2 glasses to the bar you will get 2 drinks, look out for Mohamed, Elizabeth and Louis ( who i think is the bar manager ) and take a few moments to speak to them and they will remember you.

The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk to the beach and it is easy walking , if you are going to the beach take the short cut through the exit at the poolside , this cuts out the hill if leaving from reception.

The hotel provides excellent evening entertainment but the best acts are not on until 2230 /2300 and I felt this was a little too late.

not enough warnings about the facilities. not enough sun beds to use most of them were broken. music were too loud across the pool area which made it hard to find a peaceful spot. food was dished up worse than the army! would of helped if i was a mountain goat as the hotel was on a steep hill. we stuck it our for only 1 night out of 14 and had to move to a different hotel. would NEVER recommend this hotel.

HOLIDAY FROM HELL!!!
