Decent resort course with some good holes but too many inexperiuenced golfers play it and don,t rake bunkers or repair pitch marks

Thank Miloj

Recently played Campo de golf las Americas during my Tenerife November holiday. As always this proved to be a really fine course with a variety of challenging holes. Las Americas is always maintained in top class condition. Your driver needs to be working well to give you best possible approach position. Hole # 4 is a long carry par3 over water and if U are to score well U have to be up to the challenge. All staff at the office and starter's hut are friendly and efficient. Disadvantages can be that U do have to be prepared to be patient as a round can stretch to over 4 hours' play. Facilities exist for warm-up driving and chipping areas as well as an immaculate putting green. The 19th hole is comfortable having a good range of food and drinks located overlooking the 18th green. Perhaps "pricey" during their high season at €95 a round but for the almost certainly guarantee of playing golf in sunshine is worth it. A point to be alert to is that U can have a taxi driver who may try to take monetary advantage by taking a longer journey than is necessary so do be aware of this.
All-in-all I thoroughly enjoyed my golf having been linked up with various nationalities eg..Danes, Germans, and Swedes.

First off i played on Monday the 4th November, the day after some of the worse rain i have ever seen on holiday. The green keeping staff must be praised for getting the course in playable condition, an outstanding job.

I had checked out the website before playing and seen it had 4 sets of tees (white, yellow, blue and red) The blue tees played to about 5800+ yards and the yellows to 6400+ yards. But no blue tees on the day i played, which made the yellows play longer due to the damp conditions. Holiday golf is supposed to be fun not a slog, that's left to the monthly medal.

Started at 8.52 the round took 4 1/2 hours. This had nothing really to do with buggies being kept to cart paths but more the general pass of play.

Staff very helpful and would deffo play again if they had that extra set of tees.

The course was in great condition during our Oct visit. Very forgiving fairways with v.little rough and little risk of losing balls, except in the lakes and fast running streams.
Starting Marshalls were v.friendly and kept play moving along.
Only criticism was the guys serving drinks & food in the clubhouse, who had a slightly indifferent attitude each time we went in.

We play almost every year an it's a very fun course to play with its ponds and rock formations. Be careful of the black swans they will get you if you get to close. Brilliant greens and very professional
