Stayed here for 2 nights in November and promptly booked for a week in March. The hotel lived up to all our expectations. The bedrooms and lounges are furnished to a high standard and the king sized bed was very comfortable indeed. The breakfast had everything you could possibly want and was of a high standard as was the waiting staff. The manager often introduces himself and to ask if everything is OK. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel...fabulous place.

The hotel is in a more select part of Tenerife -Although the hotel was full , it is so spacious that it seemed nearly empty . If you want a quiet place to relax with large comfortable rooms and a breakfast to die for then this is the place. The staff are very helpful and friendly even though most do not speak English . Plenty of room around the pools and a beach at the bottom prior to a sea water pool. We would be more than happy to visit this hotel again. Beautiful views - great holiday

Room Tip: try for a room facing directly to the sea

Wow! Where to start. My husband and I and. 30 friends had the honour of having our wedding day in this amazing hotel. From day one the staff; especially Sylvia, made us feel more than welcome, we're attentive, kind, caring and considerate and helped make the day all we dreamed of and more. The hotel itself is beautiful, the service, food and rooms are the best we have experienced (we have stayed in 5* hotels worldwide which don't come close). We intend to return year after year for our anniversary as this is such a special hotel.
As weddings go, all of our friend and family said it genuinely is the best they have ever attended.... The surprises just kept coming, from the beautifully decorated courtyard for our ceremony, cocktail hour to the relaxed yet firmal BBQ to the piste de resistance..... The fireworks! All of which were co ordinatEd and overseen by the fabulous Sylvia. This wonderful lady takes all your stress away and couldn't be more helpful and brilliant at her job, she genuinely puts her heart in it with you, and this is a special trait. The location of this hotel is also outstanding and the beach bar is an excellent place to unwind, ad well as the stunning pool and grounds. All that's left to say is thank you for an experience of a lifetime and the most amazing cherished memories with our loved ones and my new husband x

Our party of four, one sea view one garden view, just spent the Easter weekend plus a day or two at this superb somewhat querky hotel.
Querky only because it took some courage at the beginning of this new millenium to build such a grand 'mexican' style hotel in such a location. What a success .
The previous reviews have said it all , the unbelievable breakfast, the excellent room layouts and , well for the superior doubles at least great sizes, outlooks and terraces..............and of courseon the dowmside the missing in- room wifi.
The absence of a beach is a gigantic drawback for some missing even a slim volcanic sandy strip. The two or three nearby are walkable but obviously do not have any service levels.
For a hotel of this standard this is a major disadvantage .
The 'beach club' is a great attempt to help resolve this but doesn't really work.
As a minor point the food at this restaurent outlet should not be sought out............I questioned the quality of the 'new' burger at well over £10 which was severly lacking in taste or any taste at all but far from sympathesing was met by the response that that was very strange indeed.!!!! For those who know London burgers Byrons is on a far superior planet and at half the price. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Save the best for last. The staff are just simply fantastic. Whatever the recipe for staff motivation someone somewhere has found it in this 'querky' hotel. They made us feel so welcome, so determined to resolve any problem we had, so driven by their client/visitor interest. Well done to all of you........well, apart from the guy at the burger bar.....

Room Tip: higher floors, sea view

We stayed at the Hotel recently for 4 nights, and had a great relaxing holiday. It wasn't peak season so the hotel was not at full capacity, which was nice. All the hotel staff are really warm and welcoming, and made our stay really pleasant.

Our family are all vegetarian, and we went half-board. Breakfast was brilliant, fresh eggs, cereal, fruit what ever you wanted. For dinner, the chef would always try and cater for our needs, and they would prepare us a vegetarian meal every night, which was great.

A few negatives are that although the ocean is just to the rear of the Hotel, there is no actual sandy beach, just rocks, however the hotel have sectioned off a small area and made a 'manmade' sandy beach area which was nice. There is only Wifi in the reception area, and not great signal strength. For a 5* establishment there should be free Wifi in rooms as standard.

The hotel has a spa facility including gym, sauna, jacuzzi etc. This is not included in the Half-Board package, which is a again disappointing. I had a lovely massage, at a very reasonable price and was allowed to use the SPA facilities afterwards.

We went with our two young boys, and had a great time, even though there are no kids activities, or entertainment. Apparently there is a kids club, that is open in the summer months.

As mentioned by some of the other reviewers the Hotel decor is a little eccentric, but it was fine for us, and finished to a high standard.

Our room was 206 and we had lovely balcony with great views of the pool area, and the ocean. The room was clean and tidy, the only slight gripe being my 4 year old son had to sleep on the sofa bed, and wasn't given a bed of his own. Considering the price paid, this was a little disappointing. I found the pillows were far too soft, and didn't provide good head and neck support.

The hotel is only 20 min transfer by taxi (cost 25 euros), and has lots of great local amenities, like a minimart, restaurants, shopping centres etc, so the location is excellent.

Overall we had a great relaxing holiday, and would definitely recommend the Europe Villa Cortes.

Room Tip: Room facing pool area/beach are the best. We had 206 which was great.

We had a 10 day break at the hotel, with my wife and our (soon to be) 1 year old daughter. Thought the decor was a bit strange at first, but once you had spent day or two there, the detail seemed impressive. All the staff were great; they're mainly Spanish and South American and showered our little girl with attention and smiles - something we appreciated very much. As a result of my job I stay in a lot of hotels around the UK and Europe (and have worked in the industry) and really couldn't fault the friendly, attentive, efficient and down to earth service. They obviously work very hard (they were all nice but I do remember Francesco, Ang, Ezperinza, Andi, Nico and Sabine). The breakfast is superb, it really is the finest I have experienced in any hotel (I find it staggering that some on here have criticised it if I'm honest). Only let down really was the lack of WiFi in the rooms, meaning you had to go down to the lobby, but overall what makes this hotel is the people (and I have to include the other guests in that too, a lovely environment), oh and yes, it is a bit pricey. We'll be back.

Room Tip: Get a sea view.

we have stayed in this hotel 4times and absolutely loved it, great location, fabulous breakfast, good food, lovely rooms....BUT BUT

this time I sent them an e-mail before going there stating that it was our 4th visit etc, never got an answer

when we arrived there was no one helping us with our luggage, golf clubs etc

they did not even pretend that they remembered us (of course they don't but it would be nice to hear wellcome back when saying that we had been there already for several years at the same time)

our room smelled of sevage, I told that to two people and asked for a posibility of another room because we were going to stay in tenerife for 17days. a polite raise of eyebrows, nothing else

the was a 30 cm long white yarn in the middle of that beautiful dark blue wall to wall carpet when we arrived on Friday. it was still there on Wednesday. Do not even want to think what else there was hidden in that beautifull carpet...

we asked for a kettle. Waited for two hours and asked again and finally when we got back from dinner, the kettle had arrived. Obviously no cups or saucers or anything. I should have asked, my fault. But I did not know at that time that there were no glasses (wine or otherwise) at the well stocked minibar.

and talking about minibar, there was a half eaten Kinder-egg during our stay and later when we were checking out, they wanted to charge us a wine bottle which we had not drank (I refused to pay it), charged us what the receptionist said was A beer, fair enough, my husband had had a beer. What happend was that they charged us the price of TWO beers eventhough he only had had one.

we had ordered a newspaper to be brought to our room, after asking for it two mornings we finally started getting it.

Small things,I know (this was only an example) but things like these should not really happen in a 5* hotel and I cannot even say that the personel was unexperienced, I knew most of them from previous years so obviously some parts of the hotel are seriously understaffed but more I would ask if it is a management problem, can you not motivate your personel? I mean Spain's over 40% of unemployment figuers do not seem to be enough of motivation

i would have given the hotel only 3* but they handeled our late check out extreamly well, thank you for that, it was a Spannish gentleman (Antonio?) at the reception.
