bit apprehensive coming to this hotel at first believing it was for the older clientele but i must say i was very impressed by the mix of people there and also never felt out of place. i travelled with my family which included myself my dad and his wife and my 2 sisters. me and my sisters stayed on the 5th floor and my dad and his wife also stayed o the 5th floor. i believe the rooms were excellent. TIP bring a electric extension only 2 sockets in room and one is in bathroom for shaver.
As we were half board i was able to experience the breakfasts and evening meals. i was very impressed with both and dont believe the hotel or staff could of done anything more to help.
food was gorgeous and tasty, waiting staff always running round to help and clear tables. very efficient indeed.
pool area was very nice and make sure you get up early to get a bed mind as this place seems to have a culture of really early risers to secure beds.

overall i couldn't be more impressed with this hotel and i am already looking to come back.

The first view of Reception is impressive with large area of seating, and it's own indoor garden area. The check in was quick and efficient. The rooms were comfortable. The pool area can be a little crowded as beds are in straight lines under immoveable shelter. The food was adequate, and the area was good , with short walk to both beach and bars.
The Staff are HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY, and I would like to thank both them and the gentleman who stayed in room 409, Charlie you are a STAR!. My husband was ill, and left £400 in the toilets, just before our departure on May 12th 2013. This was found by Charlie and forwarded by mail to our home address. We received it 18th May. THANKYOU!

Beware if you book full board at this hotel you do not eat in the dining room but in the snack bar by the side of the pool even though they charge you dining room prices to book full board and it is not the warmest place to be eating your food and you don,t have the choice.

Room Tip: High floor to get some sort of view

The hotel is dated but well decorated and maintained throughout. Many of the guests had returned to the hotel on several occasions which reflects the good food, good service and close proximity to many shops and restaurants whilst far enough away to be quiet.

The pool area is rather small and the sunbeds drawn up in a regimented fashion. It would work well if it were not for the people who got up at 6 or 7am to put out their towels - Brits not Germans! - and then disappeared sometimes for most of the day, thus denying space to those who waned to use beds during the day.

The average age in the hotel was 70+ with just a few young people and a couple of toddlers. So ideal for the older generation who want to avoid noise and kids.

The hotel is one of a chain with another across the road, catering for families and AI, and another nicer hotel in Los Cristianos. Facilities in both are available with vouchers for meals - drinks need to be paid for.

A Spring hotel card can be obtained on-line which provides a 15% discount on extras - available in other Spring hotels immediately but not until the second visit in the Vulcano.

Rooms are clean and well maintained although dated. The balcony was small and not very private so susceptible to chain smoking neighbours - we had the misfortune of a cigar smoker for a week which ruled out use of the balcony during that time.

There are some XL rooms with large balconies with sun loungers - we were not aware that these were available - certainly not highlighted in the Thomson brochure. It might be better to book directly with the hotel and get a cheap flight at the same cost - the hotel provides free taxi transfers to those who book directly with them.

Food was very good with great variety and a carvery joint every night. Breakfasts were also good with omelettes cooked to order. The only negative was that this was the first hotel restaurant we experienced where you had to queue sometimes to get in but amazingly more often had to queue to get out!! Having produced the room card to get in the restaurant and then the door card to order wine etc, you have to queue to again produce evidence and sign the drinks bill which seems bureaucratic madness.

Overall, a great holiday and we will return to the Spring Hotel Vulcano

Very good hotel. Food First Class. Entertainment quite good. Clientelle on the old side,a bit llke me.Drinks etc. are signed for and paid at the end of the holiday at check out. Apply for a Spring Card and get discount off your bar bill. Well worth it.
Superior rooms are definately worth the extra.

From arival to departure this was one of our best ever holidays. The destination was beautiful with lovely shops and immaculate streets. The beach was less than 10 minutes walk away and once there you could walk for miles on a predominately flat surface. Along the sea path there are many outlets, most are very nice but some of the shop owners (not originating from Tenerife) are very forceful so are best ignored.

The hotel was wonderful. The foyer resembled a beautiful garden with adequate seating to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The guests during our stay in April were predominately mature (many were pensioners) and the whole atmosphere was one of tranquility.

Our room (standard class) was fine and very clean and it was evident that the cleaning staff worked very hard to maintain it. The food is simply unbeatable. Wonderful breakfasts with lots of choices and brilliant evening meals. The efficiency, organisation and friendliness of everyone involved at meal times so refreshing and a lesson of how it should be done.

If you are looking for a beautiful location, great weather all year round, and nice shops for the ladies in the evening then we thoroughly recommend the Vulcano.

Room Tip: When choosing a room you need to decide if you like the sun during early morning or late afternoon e...
