“Lovely Hotel and Excellent location”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

We stayed one week B&B as we don't like Hotel food. Check in was good apart from a mix up with the safe but soon sorted. Reception were very pleasant and helpful. We felt welcomed by the staff who on the whole were very friendly. Our room overlooked the pool as we paid extra for an Alexandra Room. Yes the furniture is a little dated but a lot of hotels are nowadays. I'm not there to admire the furniture. The room was cleaned or attended to everyday, if you want clean towels pop them in the bath and they will be replaced. Breakfast is the usual with plenty to choose from. If you read the reviews regarding the food and are put off then you wont like the hotels food. That's why we stay B&B. We find Most hotel food predictable, boring bland and unappetising. There are lots of good restaurants around the area to choose from. Be sure to pop your towel on a sun bed as you go down for your breakfast or nip down before 8.30 if you like a sun canopy. We take our own beach towels but the Hotel do hire them if you need one. I was really worried when I booked this hotel and read the negative reviews but we had a lovely time here. The hotel is in a great location. I would defiantly recommend a stay here and would book again. I tried costing this holiday separately and it came out no cheaper than the booking I made with Jet 2 who I usually book with.

Room Tip: Try and get a pool view if you can.

Spent one week here weather was excellent.

Hotel location was excellent in the middle of las americas bars cafes all around but still no noise at night.

Rooms were fine beds not too bad but take a pillow with you.

Food was not that great we were full board and we got bored with the food very quickly. They have theme nights but food was the same. Salad bar was fine puddings were poor for choice.

If we went back to this hotel it would be bed and breakfast.

They take your dibit or credit card details at check in then when you get drinks or snacks at pool or canteen you show your room card and they charge to your room you pay bill on check out.

Overall hotel is fine area great short walk to Safari centre etc.

Airport on arrival was a joke thomsons had reps all over the place you got sent to four different ones to find your bus it was a pain will get taxi next time and avoid the cattle.

The hotel is very disabled friendly, but rather large so, a Mobility Scooter is strongly recommended. It is in a good area, within easy reach of all you would need. The restaurant is large, able to cater for the number of guests comfortably, quality of food and variety is excellent, entertainment is again very good Children are very well catered for. This hotel chain seems to be able to deliver a good standard without breaking the bank. I would and will return.

Room Tip: Low number rooms

Last August (2013) my family and I went To La Siesta for a two-week break and it was brilliant. Loved the pool, and the hotel is a 1-2 minute walk away from the beach. The staff were amazing and the food was 5* quality. I have no complaints what so ever and I will return again soon! I was in room 48; the cleaner’s did there job very well and efficiently. I would highly recommend to anyone. I booked over Thomas cook on half board; the flight was 30 minutes delayed but they compensated by upgrading us to full board without us asking!

Room Tip: If you don’t want to see a sex shop every time you look out of the balcony or window do not reserve...

We stayed 6th-13th Feb and this was our 7th visit and we were in room 110 overlooking the pool which had the sun most of the day.The hotel is spotless all the maids and cleaners work hard to keep all the area's in the hotel lovely and clean. The reception staff are polite , helpful and friendly. The bar staff and waiters in the entertainment room do their best to serve you as quickly as possible and always with a smile. The ladies in the spa were very nice, The staff in the Dining room work so hard finding you a table, getting your drinks and clearing tables, as this is a very busy hotel and the staff work very hard it is amazing that they all still find time to say hello and give you a smile. The food:- Soup always hot- Salad everything you could wish for, there is always a good selection on the hot food, sometimes you have to wait for food, plates , cutlery ect., to be replenished but the staff work as quickly as possible to do this. The head waiter works very hard to keep everything moving and he also is hands on in setting tables ect. My husband is a fussy eater but he can always find something to eat, while we were there we had a chinese theme night and the food was lovely.
This hotel caters for British , Spanish and Scandinavian guests and therefore the food has to reflect this, if you want all British food, it is best to book a hotel that only has British guests staying there. If you don't want to stay in a hotel with mostly 60- 70 year olds staying (which most hotels will be like at this time if the year) perhaps you should book in at a hotel catering specially for Families, there are quite a few of these .We booked with Thomsons Holidays for a weeks stay including pool view room and full board and flight , all this cost us £500 each and thats what I call a bargain for a nice hotel in the Sunshine.
I always save our receipts from drinks ect and check them to the bill at the end of holidays and everything was ok , a lot of hotels use this system now but it is always best to save your signed copy of the receipt.

Thank you to all the staff at the La Siesta for your hard work, Hope to see you again soon.

We stayed in this hotel from the 4th to the 14th of fed The hotel is in a good location the only problems with it is there is not many English people in it. The bar and restaurant system does not work very good because The staff are suppose to ask you for your room number then Ask you your name then ask you your name so it corresponds with their receipt that does not happen other people are using your room numbers to get drinks and food. One of the days we was laying around the Pool we was playing some music very low and one of the European guests came and complainants said it was disrespectful for other guests so you are not allowed to play any type of music device around the Pool but it is okay for 70 year old Women to lay around the Pool topless and I think that is worse than somebody playing music at a low volume. The price of drinks in the hotel is too expensive. Every evening when we went down for our dinner we was never seated and never asked for a room number that is where the system does not work. You have to pay $.50 per day per pool towel. The Internet is €25 for seven days but it's crap system if you've got more than one device you have to keep logging one in and one out and the Internet is rubbish. The safe you have to hire that's at two euros per day. This hotel is a nice clean hotel But there is a lot of bad things the food in the restaurant does not change much. Most of the people in this hotel are over the age of 60 and 70. And if you Have a problem in any way you are very lucky to get it resolved. My room was 1065 nice room but you have the canopy of the reception outside your balcony so you can not see much and when we asked to change rooms they could not manage to do that for free or four days. Every thing you do in this hotel you have to pay for it. The night time entertainment is not very good we only stayed one night out of 10 to see what it was going to be like. And one more thing British TV channels had all gone wrong so we never had anything to watch only Spanish. I would stop in this hotel again if it did not cost me £2300 for two adults and a child and I would not have half board or bed-and-breakfast I would like a room only this hotel is not four star I would say three start at the most. This review is very accurate and I've not twisted it. I hope you have an enjoyable holiday Tenerife is not a bad place only if you go out after 12 o'clock at night down Veronicas.
