I stayed here in April for two days. I was recommended this hotel by a friend who regularly stays there for a family break so I was looking forward to staying there. First of all the location is great, it’s about five blocks from the main strip of Playa de las Americas with a wealth of restaurants, shops and cafe’s around the hotel.

The hotel is also a 7 minute walk from the beach and it is really easy to get to. Also if you are renting a car there is a lot of street parking around the hotel so leaving the car there is quite convenient. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is very good, loads of choice and plenty of fresh food set out in the buffet.

The stumbling block for me was the actual rooms. We were of the understanding that Hotel Las Siesta was a four star hotel so were optimistic about the quality standards. Now we booked through a third party site and paid in advance and maybe that had something to do with it but the rooms that we were given didn’t necessarily match that of a four star hotel. The first night we were allocated a room on the same floor as reception which despite being a long corridor walk down, had a garden terrace which was nice and quite.

The second room we were allocated on the night we were returning to Playa de las Americas to fly back home really fell short of a four star standard. The room had a charming view of the car park with piped music from some karaoke bar but it was more the face that the curtains were old, worn and hanging off the curtain rail, the bedding was thin, bare and sparse – it was april so it was cold at night but there was no extra pillows or blanket in the wardrobe so it was quite cold to sleep there. I couldn’t help wonder that because we had prepaid we were just given any old room and perhaps there are better quality rooms in the other sections of the hotel.

Stayed last year in summer, first of all I would say that the location is perfect. This hotel is huge! Pool is a very good size too. So I went with three other friends we booked one room for all four of us. Instead we were given the same size room as we would have been given if it were two of us only. So we had two single beds an a sofa bed that was awfully uncomfortable. Size of the room too small for four people! Stayed half board I advice you don't food is the same always no taste an sickening. Although breakfast was ok not as bad as dinner and lunch.
Upon leaving we were told we had to pay around 30 euros for using the mini bar when in actual fact we hadn't. They took ages investigating it then came back to tell us they made a mistake. Staff are unpleasant an rude.
I would say the only up side to this hotel is the location it's perfect distance to the strip an perfect distance to the area filled with lovely restaurants and shops.

Don't think I'd ever stay again first experience was more than enough.

Well located 10-15 min walk to nearest beach. Very clean spacious rooms. Staff extremely pleasant . Food not great would only book B&B though expect tinned fruit ! Nice pool and cafe, daily games etc. pool, exercise, water polo for kids. My only complaint was the wifi . We had to move from the 3rd floor to the 2nd to get coverage and it was sporadic depending on the room, we had to test the computer outside several rooms to see if it would work before moving. I felt the hotel should have helped with this.

Room Tip: We booked a mountain facing room, the view is okay pool view much nicer but more expensive. When booking a mountain view room ask for 2nd or 3rd floor and away from the delivery area which is near to the main building, they begin deliveries at 7am.

Food is not great here, just book room only and go across the road for full English including t and coffee
This is a great area with lots of food places to eat would recommend Tony Roma 50 yards away great food for an evening meal
Everything has to be charged to room.
So if you have friends pop in they can't buy any drinks
Overall the place it's self is clean rooms are a good size all thou I would recommend up grading
To the ambassador rooms which have more space
They do seem to charge u where every they can,
Staff well that was hit and miss as with every where u go.

Room Tip: Ask for pool view ambassador rooms as the road can be noisy also other areas of the hotel over look the shops which can also be quiet noisy. This hotel is in a good location with only a short walk to the beach and some nice shops also a good mini golf area for kids and adults alike.

Recently spent 14x nights at this hotel - 17th-31st March 2013. Travelled as a couple and we had a very enjoyable holiday. Stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and had no problems at all with choice/quality of breakfast items. Wide range including fresh breads, hot items, cereals, fresh fruit, cold meats/cheese etc and an endless supply of tea/coffee which you service yourself to, so ensuring made to your individual taste.
Hotel itself was exceptionally clean throughout, club alexander rooms very well equipped and no problems at all with any staff members we had dealings with - everyone was really friendly and helpful which I know contradicts other reviews on here but this was our experience. Even received a welcome home e-mail on departure day! Fab location for nightlife/restaurants and would have no issues with a return visit. Thank you la siesta.

Room Tip: we stayed on first floor overlooking pool and had benefit of sun on the balcony all day. Room 105.
