Karen collected us from the airport, which was worth the 20 euros and I recommend it. Karen is a lovely bubbley lady and very helpful. The apartment was basic, but very clean (no air con). Could do with a few more hangers in the wardrobe. Complimentary drinks in the fridge, beer, wine and pop, which was very generous. Good washing and ironing facilities in a separate room. You only get one set of towels for 7 days, so I ended up washing all ours mid week. It is on a steep hill, but OK to get up and down, any mobility problems would be an issue though. There were two computers with wifi and lots of books to read. Bottles of water, beer, pop etc. in the honesty bar. It is not far to the beach about 10 mins, which is pleasant area. There is a very good super market a ten minute walk away in a small shopping centre.

It would have been perfect except for a few things. It is for the over 45's, but it was like a SAGA holiday, most seemed over 60. They seemed young at heart, and although we are 45 and 49, the 10+ years age difference was a chasm.

It clearly stated in our room you could not reserve sun loungers, yet every morning the long stay guests reserved their beds and had the best spot (we ended up in a corner). It was a bit cliquey. I never used the pool because I noticed that although it stated shower beforehand no one did, they just got off their sun beds and went straight in all sweaty; I love swimming every day on holiday normally and was really disappointed. The hot tub wasn't very clean either and smelt moldy. There was music played from speakers near the pool, from as early as 9am and it wasn't our taste; Kenny Rogers doesn't do it for me lol. Siam Park opposite is still being built and the diggers are at it from just after 7am every day and if you are a light sleeper it will wake you, though it will be finished eventually. The residents are up and about after 8am, they are a bit noisy and there is no chance of a lie in. It wasn't our cup of tea, but despite the minor issues I really enjoyed my holiday and Tenerife out of season was a lot nicer than I thought it would be. The weather was great too 20+ every day (in the shade). We went 24th Feb for a week.

We had very mixed views re Florida Park. The apartments are very comfortable, great value for money and very clean. Karen & Daniel that run the apartments are exceptional, very accomodating and nothing is too much trouble. We are in our 60's and very young minded but we felt that we were on a Saga holiday. It appears that it is the same guests that come back year in year out and they all know each other, we very aware that we were the newbies that didn't quite fit in. We were uncomfortable at times and felt that we were intruding.

The sunbed fiasco is a bit of a joke as apart from there not being enough beds the regulars like to sit in the same place every day and they stay there all day every day. The regulars were up very early to ensure their place and there was a bit of unrest if someone sat in their places. The apartments are on the other side of the dual carriageway about a 10 minute walk to the beach/restaurants and they are uphill. The front entrance is a really steep hill, the back entrance a bit easier but not for the unfit.

Apparently the Florida had originally been an old folks home and to us that is what we thought we were in with everyone very set in their ways. I was unwell on holiday but not enough to have changed my thoughts on the apartments. We had a very ejoyable holiday in Tenerife but would not rebook the Florida Apartments.

Me and Hubby stayed at The Florida Park Club from 21-30 December 2011 and realy enjoyed our stay there. The one bedroom apartment was clean and spacious yes it could have done with a few more utensil and a microwave but we got by. We were picked up at the airport by Daniel and also taken back at the end or our stay. Many people go back year after year so there is a sense of community and we had some lovely evenings after being out for a meal just sitting having a chat and a laugh either in the bar or on our patio area with our neighbours. We are going back for a week at the begining of March and have also booked for Christmas and New Year 2012. I can understand it's not for everyone but we had a lovely time and we are young at heart 56 & 57 year olds.

Room Tip: All rooms are south facing.

Stayed 22nd January to 29th Jan.
This is a wonderful complex to stay, either short term like us, or for longer stays.Apartments
are both spacious and well equipped.and enjoy all day sun.The owner and management
are toally committed to the well being of guests and provide all sorts of extras i.e free
tea, coffee soft drinks and an honesty bar.
We took advantage of their offer to pick us up from the airport and deposit us back there f
20 Euros each way, , avoids the hassle of taxi drivers..
We will hopefully return. One tip do not buy loads of Euros before travel, local shops
will exchange at a far better rate than any UK provider.

We stayed at the Florida Park complex for a week over the new year period, arriving on 27th December 2011. Our apartment was excellent, spotlessly clean and well positioned with a large balcony with a pool view.

Our holiday was organised by Karen who was always on hand to answer any questions and the complex manager Daniel was always friendly and picked us up from the airport.

The complex is very quiet and private access can only be gained via one of the locked gate entrances. There is a nice sun patio, pool and outdoor Jacuzzi, a TV lounge with Sky TV, a Gym and free internet access.

The complex is located approximately 10 minutes walk away from the San Eugenio area of Tenerife albeit up a slight hill from the beach area.

The complex attracts mainly mature guests from the UK most of whom visit for many weeks at a time which can create a community atmosphere in and around the complex.
