This small friendly restaurant is renown in the area for providing the best breakfast at only 2.85 euros each ! The waiters are really friendly and make an effort to get to know you and its no surprise that you see the same faces coming back time and time again. We stay in La Siesta which is located close by and very nice but still manage to chose El Cedro for breakfast !

“Excellent as always”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

We visited last week having been many many times previously. The friendliness of Josef and his staff was as expected, these guys really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It is also very notable in these difficult times, that the people standing outside restaurants and bars touting for business have become more desperate, with even the off licence across the road from El Cedro now having a man out on the street. Yet I have never seen anyone doing this at this restaurant. This says a lot - they don`t have to. It looks like all repeat customers to me. I have also noticed that seems to be the chosen eatery for the local plod which is enough for me, they always seem to be eating in there.

We go there specifically for the steaks which always seem to be bigger than everywhere else yet very tasty.

Definitely recommended

“Nice Evening Meal”

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the food is good. Steak was large and succulent. Not too expensive and value for money.

“Not impressed”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

After reading all of the great reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to go here for breakfast on our first morning as we were staying up the road. I could not understand all the great reviews, ok the service was fine but nothing spectacular, the scrambled eggs were bland and had a funny taste and the bacon was very fatty.
I would give this place a miss, there are much better places around.

“Spanish as it should be...”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

Very diverse restaurant which serves authentic Spanish food aswell as the sought after English breakfast...which is of 0 importance for me. They serve a great fishsoup for a reasonable price. Special remark for the calamares a la plancha, outstanding. Even though it was packed with English and German people ,what is a sign for me to stay out since 99% of them dont have a clue on what Spanish food is about, i had a pleasant surprise when i got in. The waiters are very kind and helpful indeed. Will go back here when i return.
