We have just arrived home from a weeks holiday, we were travelling with 2 children with additional support needs and we stayed in villa jardin verde.

When we arived at the hotel it was extremely clean and welcoming we were met with friendly staff at reception. We had chosen to hire a car and were surprised that we could park directly out the front of the hotel and free of charge. Their is a free bus to take you to the beach and siam park which i thought was great.

Our villa had our own swimming pool which was quite small but fine for our kids to play in and we could go to the communal pool. Their was 6 sun longers and lots of seating area for outside eating within our villa. Rooms were clean and relatively modern. Kitchen could do with a few more utensils, cutlery but we made do. There was an iron and hair dryer in the villa, tv which had English cartoon network for kids when they needed out the sun.

Maid service was fantastic fresh towels 6 days out of 7 we really couldnt fault them. Pool attendant was in 1 day to clean our private pool.

Communal pool area was great we could go down anytime of the day and managed to get at least 3 sun loungers together, life guards were great some kids were throwing each other in the pool and throwing balls which were going towards people and were delt with in a nice polite manner.

We went self catering as we like to eat out and were planning on going on excursions however we paid for 1 day to be all inclusive, there was plenty of choice of food and each night was a different theme we had Mexican it was ok for the adults but not great for kids. There was a little kids club and the staff were great i would of liked a little more details of what was on for the kids throughout the day.

During the day the lady from the dress shop did a little fashion show which was quite amusing. There was a mini market for essentials however it could have a bit more in it.

We had to go to reception for details of a doctor, the reception called a doctor to the hotel which was €90 if we had got a taxi it would be €30 there and back and €60 for the doctors fee so it worked out the same.

Taxi to supermarket was €6 and we stocked up on breakfast stuff and lunch which was really cheep compared to home.

Overall this was the perfect holiday for us as a family, we have been to 5* hotels but found them too busy and stressful. We liked the idea of being able to be sociable at the communal pool and then have our own privacy back in the villa with our private pool and bbq. We found the other holiday makers were lovely and everyone was friendly. We will definitely be going again.

This resort is more for people looking for a relaxed friendly environment definitely not if your looking for a night of entertainment or full entertainment throughout the day.

Very comfortable, quite tasty, very green. Close to the golf pitch. The stuff is extremely kind and helpful, The rooms are big and very comfortable. Unfortunately my smelt with cigarette smoke. A little bit far to the sea but they offer a shuttle bus to the Monkey Beach.

We travelled in September for 10 days with our 4 children ranging in ages from 9 to 5 months. We've been staying all inclusive for 10 years now and unfortunately this is the worst we've experienced yet. We spent the final 5 day looking forward to going home. The hotel is small which we knew but we had to drag all our bags to our room with no offer of help at all. The lift was frequently out of order and as all the rooms are up a level from reception we had to carry out two young children up the stairs in their buggy which reception pretended not to notice. The happened on 4 other occasions during our stay, at one point the door of the lift jammed half way open with a lady inside so we didn't feel safe using it.

Our room was a two bedroom with the children beside the front door and the main room down a steep spiral staircase. The room was very basic compared to others we have stayed in. We also arrived to broken glass on our balcony which was still there upon leaving however all other cleaning in the apartment was good. The balcony door was however left open on a latch each time the maid was in and we did get cockroaches as a result.

The food was very basic with little choice and often recycled from meal to meal. For the first time ever we had meals where not one of our family could find anything to eat. There is a big problem with flies landing on the food here and swarming around tables while you eat. The bar staff and waiting where however very friendly and helpful.

The pool is small but perfectly sized for this resort and kept very clean. There are plenty sunbeds and parasols and the older lifeguard went out of his way to make guests feel relaxed. There is an almost daily fashion show but it's not loud or intrusive.

The animation team is 1 person usually Michaela doing 1 game before lunch and 1 game after lunch with a mini disco at night. We did have Enzo on our last day and he really engaged the children and made it seem as if there was an entertainer.

The clientele really highlighted the bad points of this hotel with a stag party of 16 men taking over the pool one day and two similar sized hen parties arriving two days later. There were topless men eating dinner in the restaurant and a few families in their pool gear with shoeless children at dinner every night. Other families we spoke to were as disappointed as we were.

Had this been a cheap holiday I could have understood but we've stayed in much nicer places for cheaper. We researched this place a lot before we travelled so will be much more wary of believing reviews in future.

In our opinion this is not a four star hotel. Firstly the location is not very good with nothing nearby, the rooms are large and nicely furnished but there are no finishing touches that would normally be standard in four star hotels. There were two sachets of shampoo and two of shower wash they were never replenished it's best to take your own they smell like disinfectant. We were all inclusive but there was no coffee sachets or milk in the room so we had to purchase some from the hotel shop so that we could have a drink in our room. We stayed seven days and one day there was no maid service the room was not cleaned and bed not made, we spoke to another couple and they said that had happened to them. The food is also of a very low quality if it was hot it was dried up if it wasn't dry it usually was cold, there was very little choice for my wife who is vegetarian. The pool area is small sun beds are crammed together, we travelled as a couple and were not catered for there is no area for adults who want to have some quiet time inside or out. The dining room is also the entertainment area which means noisy at evening mealtime. If you want more than a basic holiday this is not for you.

Room tip: Stay away from the pool area, if you want a quiet room.

One of my favourite places!!

Perfect weather and only 1 minute from the golf course.

Ideal for all types of people. Food was good and enjoyed the variation each night. Didn't really stay for much of the entertainment as we were out down las Americas most nights but from what we did see it was quite good.

Our room was fantastic, stayed at No 64 which was right next to the pool and had amazing views down to the ocean. Cleaner was in most days and our room and beds were always spotless.

All the staff were fantastic and very friendly ! Reception staff very so helpful and were good for a chat, special shout out to Annette who was great the entire holiday.

Pool is really nice and always spotless. Perfect to catch a tan.

Can't wait to go back next year
