Just back from two weeks. Wonderful place. Spacious apartment, clean & comfortable. Gorgeous pool & surroundings. Plenty of sunloungers & parasols. Well stocked mini market (we were self catering), though not cheap. Definitely set up for all inclusive, need to have credit at bar but we were not told you couldn't use cash when we checked in. We arrived at 11pm and welcome pack would've been nice, even just water in fridge! Went to bar to buy water, couldn't because didn't have credit. Also only able to buy food at pool bar from1pm until 3pm unless you upgrade to all inc for that mealtime. Long walk to bars, restaurants, shops etc, ok in eve but hot during day. Not safe to walk back when dark but taxi only €4 approx ( though variable depending on taxi driver). Overall great place but not great for self catering. Can't comment on food or entertainment. Bar prices extortionate! €6 for a g&t! Prompt response from staff when reported broken toaster & lightswitch.

I have just returned from holidaying at Green Garden with my wife and 14 & 11 year olds , we had a one bed room apartment which was one of the most spacious apartments I've ever had on holiday , very clean , balcony front and back, only down side was camp beds for kids but this didn't seem to bother them as both slept well each night , rooms cleaned every day bar Wed & Sun, like everyone else has mentioned on these reviews I could not fault the staff, cleaners/bar/restaurant / reception , and yes the Spainish Scot Pepe is a helpful nice bloke.
The pool area is great , first time I can remember not having to spoil my holiday by getting up at the crack of dawn to join the countless others reserving sun beds, there always seemed whatever time of day to be plenty of beds for everyone .
The food I thought was very good, breakfast your usual eggs/bacon/ beans/toast/omelette/fruit , lunch a choice of salads/ chicken/kebabs/burgers, kids will never go hungry if there staple holiday diet is pizza hotdog & chips ! , dinner was always themed Spanish/Chinese/Mexican , all very good, we also ate at the Italian restaurant next to reception , you can eat here free but need to book
The hotel runs free buses to town/Siam park/ beach .
Siam park is a must if you have kids, great day out.
The walk from the hotel to town is a good 20 mins, taxi back 2 mins €5 !!
I did enjoy this all inclusive hotel and possibly like some of you who have took the time to read my review have stayed in other all inclusive hotels in Tenerife , this was by far one of the most relaxed I've been to so would not hesitate to return one day

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the green garden resort hotel and would like to give an honest view as WE found it as i know the hotel always read these reviews and are always looking for feedback so that they can improve the experience for future travellers. Firstly i must point out that we had a fantastic holiday, mysef and fiance and our 2 boys who are 13 and 10 years old. Upon arrival in the afternoon we arrived at the hotel which i can promise you looks exactly like it does in the pictures and is absolutely stunning. We made our way into reception which is very plush marble and black suede sofas etc, although there were lots of new arrivals being seen to, the guys behind the reception did a cracking job making sure everybody was dealt with efficiently and in a freindly manner, you will hear his name mentioned in many other reviews but Pepe the scottish bloke behind reception is a diamond and throughout our stay he was exceptionally helpful, always smiling and puts you at ease just having a freindly laugh and a chat with you, all the other staff are also very freindly and helpful but we just found oursleves going to Pepe as the other staff sometimes didnt understand us but thats no fault of thier own. When we arrived, our room wasnt quite ready so we were given our all inclusive bands and told we could leave our luggage in the holding room and head off too
lunch and our room would be ready shortly, no problem at all...the dining room is upstairs through the hotel and on the other side of the pool. Now i will point out that the dining area is open fronted to the outside and contains the bar area and also has a stage inside towards the back which is also where all the entertainment takes place at night. As i have said i want this to be a fair and honest review and i know the hotel wants these comments so i have to say ( as did quite a few other guests ) that having one place used for eating , the bar, and all the entertainment did start to get a bit tiring after a while and it would be a massive improvement to somehow seperate the restaurant from where the evening entertainment is, on a side note there is an a la carte restaurant downstairs just off from the reception area and as part off the all inclusive package you are allowed to eat in there once per week, its a lovely little place, nice and relaxing and the food is very nice, although the menu is pretty small but it just made a nice change and its 'free' ,thumbs up for that one....i was told by a few people that the hotel up until fairly recently was a 'true' golf resort and that the restaurant downstairs was the only restaurant and entertainment was upstairs where the all inclusive restaurant is and that it was all grouped together in one area when it changed over to a family all inclusive resort. On to the food, the food on the whole was very good, okay there is always going to be some days that seem better than others but we never went hungry, good cooked breakfasts every morning, all the fruit you could want, coffee and juice machines, crusty bread etc. I will say that it didnt seem like much
effort was given to food at lunchtimes and i dont mind saying that it was the same most days, burgers, hot dogs, chips and then a few dishes of maybe chicken, stews, etc etc although one thing i loved and had every lunchtime and dinnertime was the soup.....cracking soup......The evening meals were themed each night such as Italian, chinese, Mexican, International.......some really nice meals and look out for the baked red cabbage....delicious, also loved the cod and veal....!!!! Have to say that the staff in the restaurant and bar work bloody hard and in the whole 2 weeks i never saw one unhappy or rude member of staff and they desreve a special mention for that....Another comment i will add here that i think the hotel needs to address is the fact that because the restaurant is open fronted, we noticed on day one that small birds were flying inside looking for scraps, however they went one further and were atually perching on the edge of serving trays and picking out food, it might look cute but im sorry i just think thats wrong and animals shouldnot be getting that close to where they are landing on or eating food and it needs addressing and could be solved by simply putting dangling
beads or some kind of noise sensor to repel them. So overall its a big thumbs up for the food, good quality, fresh and plenty of choice but as with any place you stay i guess
you get a bit tired of it in the end. On to our suite now, we were staying in a one bed suite no84 and our 2 boys were in the living room. when we first got in our room we were very impressed and it looks lovely however we couldnt see any beds for the boys....we rang down to reception and told them and they apologised and said the beds would be sent up shortly. 10 minutes later 2 camp beds were sent up, this wasnt a problem but just want to point this out because i can imagine any kids slightly older than ours might not be too happy about 2 weeks on a campbed....
Any way once we had the beds we realised there was no bedding for the boys also so we had to call reception agian who sentup 2 massive wooly blankets? so we rang down again and said we needed sheets for the beds, again 2 more wooly blankets arrived, finally we had to go down in person and explain we needed actual sheets. Im sure it was all just a
genuine mistake but when your told your room is ready it is the attention to detail that makes all the difference, especially when your tired from a full days travel. Although the suites look nice, its not fair of me to lie so i will be honest as i know the hotel wants honest comments. Upon closer inspection of the room we noticed things that let it down, wallpaper peeling on the wall over our bed, voile drapes above bed torn and only 2 power sockets out of 6 in the whole suite actually worked, again its the finishing touches that make the difference. I would also point out to the hotel that ALL the floors in the suites were very very slippy when you were slightly wet or out of the shower etc and some kind of mats in the bathrooms etc are definitely needed as nearly all of us almost injured ourselves whilst there on wet floors and im sure it must have been the same for other people. Finally onto entertainment, now this is where we had a problem...firstly let me say that we have had MUCH better entertainment from 3 star hotels and also paying much less than we paid for this holiday.....and when i say entertainment i mean across the board, day and night. Firstly let me start by saying that Russo is fantastic, absolutely fantastic, and i know the hotel will read this review and i also know that the hotel will have heard Russo's name mentioned hundreds of times and to be fair i think she is not being treated fairly or given the respect she deserves from the hotel, the reason i feel this is that for a hotel of this size and number of guests paying the amount they do to stay there, i think its really unfair for all the entertainment to be down to one person and it just feels like they are trying to do it all on the cheap.
The hotel should be having activities all day such as french bowls, archery, pool tournaments, Darts competitions, quizzes etc etc.... there is basically nothing during the day apart from water polo and the hotel plays the same music EVERY single day around the pool, the only other entertainment was a young woman walking up and dwon the pool modelling summer dresses she was trying to sell, or the skincare advisors trying to sell creams, or the try scuba reps,,,you guessed trying to sell scuba excursions...., which takes me onto the night time entertainment, some nights such as the drifters show were great, other nights like the Top Hat and Heels show were fantastic ( that was a fantastic night by far the highlight of our holiday ).....however i wasnt too impressed with other nights such as the 'snake show' and the parrot show which basically lasted 30 minutes if that and then came the hard sell trying to sell you pictures and being downright rude if you dared ask how much it was for a picture, by all means allow people to come in and ask people if they want thier pictures taken with a snake etc but i think its really lazy and cheap trying to sell it as entertainment. Myself and a lot of other guests were also dissapointed with the fact that basically the kids mini disco would start arond 9 pm while people were still sat eating thier evening meal and the volume was ridiculous sometimes ( way too loud ) then once the disco had finished you would get a 45 minute act or show and then THATS IT......!!!
I was told by the guy running the karaoke one night i couldnt sing another song because it was nearly eleven o clock and the police would show up if he didnt turn it off and yet i hear all the other hotels all around us and in the distance still having fun and music going at way past midnight. Im really sorry i have to moan about this but the entertainment side of things is the one thing that really didnt live up to our expectations on this holiday and i hope the hotel can take this as genuine constructive criticism because as ive said we spoke to many many people who said the same thiings as we did. I basically think Russo should have 2 or 3 more staff and she could then be the 'head' of the entertainment like she deserves to be, they could work as a team doing various activities during the day and more care could be taken to providing good shows at night with maybe an hour of music for dancing or something else up until midnight at least. Trust me, if
the entertainment side of things was really looked into and improved then this hotel would literally be PERFECT...
So there you have it, i have tried to be as honest as possibe, knowing that the hotel DO want these reviews and comments and hopefully certain things will be looked into, as i said in the begininng, this IS a great hotel. the staff are FANTASTIC, and the hotel is stunning and you couldnt ask for a better location to all the local excursions such as Siam park ( hotel provides free bus every day ) Jungle park, ( 7 euros in a taxi 15 mins away ) Las americas ( free bus every day ) the hotel also runs a free bus to Monkey Beach which is a private strip of beach owned by the owners of the hotel, your all inclusive also covers food and drinks whilst on the beach.
Dont let what ive wrote put you off going or make you feel wary if you have already booked because as i have said it was a great hotel and we DID have a great holiday and met some great people and new friends, hopefully things will change month upon month as Green Garden perfects what it does and goes from strength to strength, thanks to ALL at the Green Garden and Hopefully see you again soon.....

Room Tip: upper floors currently dont have air con ( celing fan only ) i think most if not all lower floors no...
