Green Garden Resort & Suites
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed April 11, 2013

Just home from Green garden- did not book this hotel, we were moved there due to overbooking at Gran Oasis. Apartment was poor, food terrible, pool area overcrowded and pool heavily chlorinated. The noise was dreadful and the entertainment provided was mainly for young children and did not suit my teenagers. My daughter was provided with a camp bed for the two week stay. The overall hygiene was disgraceful and the food was either under or overcooked. To add icing on the cake the in resort rep from Thomas Cook was rude and unhelpful. The 'long' walk into either of the resorts involved navigating the red light district in the evenings and crossing busy roads. Think carefully before booking this resort and hope you are not next door to a privately owned apartment- the owners do not share the hotel's enthusiasm for holidaymakers. All in all it was the worst holiday we ever had and we will definitely never, never travel with Thomas Cook again.

Dear guest,

Thanks for sharing your experience and publishing your comment on Tripadvisor. We would like to apologize for the inconveniences that we may have caused to you for moving to Green Garden Resort & Suites but the standard and category are exactly the same. Regarding the food, we have nearly 200 people in all inclusive and the level of satisfaction is 9 out of 10 in the statistics of Tour Operators. On the other hand, we would like to say our pools are cleaned with Salt Chlorine not Chlorine directly, apart from that, maintenance team check every day the level of chlorine of all swimming pools and even more we have an external company that supervises the conditions of the swimming pools without finding any problem.

We regret that your stay has not been up to your expectations.

Sincerely yours.

This hotel is great. From the front desk staff to the cleaners. Always smiling and happy to help. We stayed a week from 26th March. Weather was fab, two bedroom apartment was all we could have wished for. Pool very spacious and loads of sunloungers. Close to shops/restaurants, about a 10-15 minute walk away. The only negative would be the prices in the on site shop were quite high. Will definitely visit again.

Room Tip: all rooms are close to the pool area

We stayed two weeks in room 34, and enjoyed our stay in gorgeous weather. That was the key to our vacations success.

The hotel has polite and nice staff, nice enough rooms and facilities, a good pool area, a nice little shop and is located in a quiet (most of the time) area. The service is the best part, and front desk did a great job for us.

The hotel is, unless you play golf, too far from downtown with unpractical access by foot, and located next to a closed down hotel, and wasteland on the other side. But that is Spain 2013.

You get your moneys worth and it is great for families, and especially three generations, without high ambitions of social life in discos and bars, and likes a round or two of golf a week.

We spent 3 weeks from 14/2-7/3 2013.This is first of all a family place. We were a couple, mainly interested in silence and resting and playing golf.We found out very quickly that here are the children ruling. The children, and specially their fathers quite certainly had a lovely time.Except for the noise and the loudness of the speakers, we also enjoyed it and had many good laughs when we got used to it.Forget about talking yourself, use lipreading.
The apartments were lovely and clean. We simply loved the food, for once the fish was not overcooked. The Chefs and everybody in the kitchen were very nice.If they got to know about special wishes, they did their best to fulfill it. Thanks to Javi and his team.We loved the juice machine. The best thing about buffets is that everybody always can find something they like. Not to mention the cakes!!!!
The service was excellent everywhere. The evening we arrived, the fridge was broken.Fifteen minutes after we told the reception,it was replaced by a new one.
Everybody working in the hotel were extremely helpful, and did much more than they were expected to do.
Many thanks to Cristina for her lovely drink, Coctail de Cristina, and to the rest of the nice people working in Trattoria Sahara and upstairs in the bar and dining "room". I loved practising my weird Italian/Spanish with all of you.You worked and smiled and looked like you really enjoyed it all.

Holiday here 15-24 Feb 2013 - Temperature ranging between 19-25*C - Spent with family (Mum, Dad, Daughter 24, Son 21, Twin Daughters 13)
Apartment great for all apart from hunky 21year old on pull out bed not ideal. The Apartments were a lovely atmosphere, very clean and great family orientation. However I suspect at high times, this tranquility won't last. Without exception, meal times were always well received with high quality and quantity of familiar and less familiar foods, which suited everyone!! The staff again without exception were welcoming, friendly and always happy to help. As for Playas, lets just say some areas have had its days, but do explore the wider area and island for the full experience...highly recommend the trips to really see the beauty of the island. The Apartments are in ideal location of the local town - although not far the walk is a dusty track - and do explore both left and right of the town as it does vary considerable. Taxis seem to make up their own prices despite having "meters" and 6 seaters are pretty much non-existent apart from airport runs which you need to book in advance as they usually convert their car into use for mobility wheelchairs - AKA Benidorm!! But as usual there are honest cabbies - so big thanks to the cab driver who drove back after we left our bag in the back - note that all taxis are numbered.
It was nice to "dress up" and experience the in-house Italian restaurant 'Trattoria Sahara', which made a change from the usual buffet style.
Overall, Green Garden Resort & Suites was an ideal family location and would highly recommend. But probably best enjoyed in low season.

Thank you for a really excellent week! The room with 2 bedrooms in two floors was very clean the whole week, also very comfortable for a family kids 10, 8 and gave us as parents our own private suite and some privacy.

Thank you bartender Cristina for your really special coctail "Coctail de Cristina" like the sunset. The hotel staff was really friendly and had a professional staff, very international. The food selection was great for our very picky 8 year old boy. This was my first week without cooking lunch and dinner for my family. We loved the Mexican food, (I loved the Canary food), spagetti bolognese, hamburgers, strips and hot dogs and the evenings with Abba and the parrots. The ala carte was really something extraordinary. We also loved the juice machine and the fruits in the mornings.

Special thanks for the desserts that we tried to lose by and in the pool by swimming several hours every day! We really enjoyed the walk or jogging every early morning, a loop of 6 km. We really enjoyed our stay and would go back tomorrow. Really recommendable, since you can sleep in the nights and all night.

We didn´t need the fitness center, since we did two days trips: one to Siam park and one to Loro park. Enough activities by and in the pool five days every week. Shows every evening and long dinners.

The hotel staff was really helpful, offering new words for me to use as I was trying to speak spanish!

Room Tip: Rooms on the souther side are quiter. Parents have some privacy although the kinds are in the same...
