Just back from a weeks break, 3rd time at parque santiago, fantastic like always. Rooms are a little dated but spacious and spotless. Location is great lots of great bars, restaurants and walking distance to the strip. Pools are lovely and even though it was half term week still managed to get a sun bed. Will be booking again wouldn't stay anywhere else in tenerife. Siam park and Loro park is excellent a must for all ages.

Room Tip: I prefer Parque Santiago IV to III Ground floor rooms have lovely gardens.

Just returned from these apartments, had a 4 night stay there. They are in a great location surrounded by lots of great restaurants, bars & shops. The apartments are a little dated but spotless & the pool area is lovely & even though it was half term week we was always able to get a sun bed. There are two pools & one was heated which was great, would definitely return here & can highly recommend :))

My wife and i decided that after many visits to Tenerife, staying half board in hotels to give self catering a go. We choose santiago 1v as we no the aria very well and we have look,t inside at the pool area before. We went through Thompsons and we done it on the internet, this was no problem but they wanted 90pound for transfers, if you get a taxi it only works out about 42 pound return so bare this in mind. we were checked in by a lovely friendly lady on the desk, and were put in the tower room 308 front facing just to the right not the best but after asking if there was another room away from the road we just decided to stay ware we were . the complex is spotless and every one so friendly the pool aria is spotless to, as it is split into two pools.you can get your own umbrella for your lounger and your men,t to put it in a hole in the leg of the bed. but this does not keep the brolly up . so many people were putting one bed on top of each other to stop the brolly falling over. yes the appts could do with a bit of an upgrade but give them a go fantastic location and very friendly staff. We would recomend rest el cedros . turn left as you come out and its about 200 yards down the road very nice food and very friendly staff.

Room Tip: If you can pool view, you will get the sun all afternoon with a great sun set

Firstly, let me say that with any complex you will find fault if you look hard enough. There are some negative points in the reviews on here but they are far outweighed by the positive points. This is the second time I have stayed here following a previous visit in May 2011.

This time we stayed in a studio whereas previously we stayed in a one bedroom apartment and were fortunate enough to get a duplex on that occasion.

Let me give you my negative points from this visit:-

1) we were in room 208 in the tower block where I understand all studios are. I'm not sure if all studios are adjoining rooms but ours shared a door with 209. This did lead to a slight noise issue in the early hours when our neighbours returned from their evening out. However they did tend to go to sleep within half an hour or so therefore not a major issue....and I had ear plugs! We also had new neighbours arrive in the middle of the night and they tried to gain access to our room

2) could have done with a few more plug sockets

3) the canopies in each room are automatic and come down at 10am and go back about 11pm. It would have been good to be given the option for this to be controlled to allow the chance to sit in the sun

4) I guess as with any complex it's 50/50 as to what your view will be like. Our room overlooked the restaurant at the front of the hotel. Those on the other side would have overlooked the sea/pool. I'm not sure if you can pay extra for this

5) the food and drinks at the complex are very expensive

I can't think of any others and as I mentioned at the start these were not really anything too concerning and the positives far outweigh these points. To name a few:-

1) cleanliness
2) excellent location with plenty of local bars, restaurants, shops etc.
3) fantastic pools
4) plenty of sunbeds
5) great maid service
6) free wifi at bar and in reception
7) comfy beds
8) many optional extras (payable locally)
9) free gym
10) friendly staff
11) good value for money

I could go on but the other reviews on here sum them up.

I would not hesitate to stay here again and probably will if I return to Tenerife. I think I will go for an apartment next time but if you are not put off by the issue with the adjoining doors then the studios are fine.

I can't imagine you finding much better in the resort without having to pay significantly more and this is backed up by the position of the hotel in the tripadvisor charts.

If anyone needs any tips then please message me.

We had an amazing experience here and where treated like royalty. We arrived late on a Sunday and was given just what we asked for high floor sea views. We was put in the tower on 7th floor with a partial sea views and mountain views it was beautiful but quite noisy. The next day we asked reception if there was another on the quite side of the tower he said he had a special one for us the room was with 180degre view of the sea quiet to and still on the 7th floor just fab made our holiday so good.
Yes there was no oven but that helped me not have to cook for two weeks lol bonus
Just be very careful in the shower as half way through I slipped and came out and was badly bruised so please put a small towel in so u have so grip.
Our last day we had already checked out but wasn't being collected until 7pm we asked if there was a place to shower and there is a shower just at the side of reception with fresh towels
All in all the reception staff was fab the room was brilliant the veiw was amazing
