“Noisy.”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

I was woken up every morning around 7 o'clock from hammering and drilling as they were replacing every balcony with new glass ones. There was also no aircom but only a little vent going to the outside, this would've been fine except outside, below our room was a little park where kids were playing and a water fountain that was very noisy at night when it splashed on the floor, it sounded even noisier at night when there was nothing else around. The hotel in general was okay but I wouldn't want to go back to it again.

We have just returned from 8 nights staying at Parque Santiago 4 on Monday 10th September 2012. The picturesque apartments are situated in an excellent location within walking distance to a variety of excellent restaurants, shops, the beach, super markets and the amenities at Parque Santiago 3. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, the apartments are spacious and extremley clean. There is no air conditioning but fans are available to hire from reception and seem to do the trick. There are two salt water pools and lots of space for sunbeds, you can also use the amenities at Parque Santiago 3 which are excellent. They have two swimming pools, hot tub and gym. The pool bar is resonably priced and serves excellent food, drink and ice creams. The complex is suitable for all age ranges with a separate children's pool with slides and lots of things for them to do (parque santiago 3). They have internet access and a 24 hour manned reception should you need anything. This is the third time we have visited the Parque Santiago complex and have a fantastic holiday every time, we can't wait to go back next year!

Lovely hotel on a picturesque setting in the most ideal central location within steps of all the lively atmosphere. The swimming pool and sun loungers are lovely and very clean with a private exit to the sea front and promenade.
However I don't think I would stay here again. Primarily because there was no air con in the apartments and even at the end of aug/ start of sep it is exceptionally hot. We didn't sleep a full night any night even with the ceiling fan and the rented fan as it was just blowing around hot air!! There were also ants in our kitchen. We made reception aware and the cleaners gave us bug spray to kill them ourselves. No apology. They never went away. By the end of the week I was finding ants in the bathroom on my toothbrush!!! The ground staff are very friendly as apposed to the reception stuff who were a bit short. Like I said no air con so we had to hire a fan, no hairdryer or iron so we had to hire those too. €45!! If you have room in your suitcase bring what you can. The safe was €30 but well worth it as the wooden shutter doors, even when locked, were easily opened. Cleaning was daily but they did not change towels everday, just hung them up. Did not change bed clothes, just made the bed.
Overall nice but not 4star. Would not stay here again.

Good deal, ended up here by mistake when our chosen hotel had overbooked (so glad when I saw the state of the orginal place). Apartments are located in a nice quiet part of las Americas but surrounded by plenty of amenities, shopping centre, bars, cafes etc, stones throw away from the beach. Apartment clean and adequate, although basic with poor view of staff quarters and air con unit from our room, in hindsight should have asked to move for a better view but we didn't want the hassle, it didn't cause any problems though we only used our room to sleep. Would return but would request a room with a better view! Swimming pool and hotel bars excellent.

Fabulous 2-week, mid-August stay with husband & children (age 1, 4, 13).
Allocated room 3128 on 9pm arrival. Set on 2-floors, it would suit a family with older children, as the stairs were open plan. Facing the road & service area, so noisy at 7am. We asked reception to swap rooms - no problem.
We were then given room 701: Highly recommended...two rooms, x4 single beds, sofa bed, kitchenette, x2 balconies, pool & sea view. Lift to room. Quiet. Plenty of English TV channels! Only downside, the ceiling fans are useless - you can purchase fans from reception for 20Euro/week. Safe in room, 20Euro/week + 10Euro deposit.

Hotel spotless, beautiful setting, friendly staff. Food prices reasonable (but meals can be found much cheaper if you walk 10mins in any direction outside the hotel). Drinks a little above average price (take your own when around the pool). Can recommend the English breakfast - 5.50Euro, incl. tea/coffee & OJ. Fab air-conditioned gym. X2 large salt water pools (1 heated Sept-May). Plenty of sunbeds, but not too crammed in - unlike Parque Santiago III (3). It is true that guests 'claim' the sunbeds by putting their towels on them from 7am...my advice would be, do the same! To be fair, we always got beds, no matter what time we went out. Chilled & relaxing, on the whole.

Guests here can also use the facilities next door at Parque Santiago III (3) - which has a great children's pool with slides etc (under 12s only). I wouldn't recommend staying at PS III tho - far too busy & packed.

Overall, Parque Santiago IV is the best hotel I've stayed at. The location is excellent..close enough to the main bars/clubs, lovely sea-front restaurants, Los Cristianos, beautiful beaches. Tenerife is my most favourite place - lots to do for everyone, friendly locals. AND it's still cheap to eat and drink out (1Euro pint, 50Euro x4 adults meals + drinks)!

TIP: There are 5 hotels in the Parque Santiago chain, they're all situated close together...DON'T get them mixed up - as some reviewers on here have been!

Room Tip: * If you don't like your room, don't be afraid to ask reception to swap you...they will, if...
