This was our 3rd visit to Parque Santiago having fun stayed in both 3 and 4 previously. This time was were placed in number 3, we'd emailed ahead asking for a quiet room and other and a noisy neighbour for a couple of days got what we asked for. As others have mentioned the rooms are a bit dated, but this should not put your off as they are spotless. The room even had Sky Sports much to the wifes disappointed.
We didn't use the pool at 3 just because we prefer the less crowded pool at 4. Given the choice between 3 or 4 I would pick 4. We prefer the pool there and more money has been spent on it over recent years. If we return to Tenerife again and want self catering this will still be our top choice.
Also must mention that the location is perfect, well situated in the best part of the resort.

I must say I was prepared for the worse having read reviews on TripAdvisor just days before our departure but our concerns soon vanished on arrival.
We arrived around 11pm, reception was empty and we were greeted by two helpful and friendly reception staff, after a speedy check-in we were given a resort planner to guide us to our accommodation, Room 57 in the Tenerife block which was just a minutes walk from the reception area.
Our room was located on the ground floor, it was a studio terraced apartment, self catering and we were more than surprised what the room had to offer.
Outside there was a spacious, gated terrace that provided plenty room to sunbathe and offered shaded areas provided by floral shrubs there was also a patio table and four chairs. The door to the apartment had a locked wooden slatted door and behind that was a locked patio door (double security) inside the apartment was the living area which had a leatherette sofa, pine dining table a large pine set of drawers and a flat screened satellite tv, next to this was twin beds that when pushed together made a double and a compact fully equipped kitchen also a large wardrobe then through to a separate bathroom.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, we were also greeted with a bottle of wine, a basket of fruit and a bottle of mineral water with a welcome card from the Directors. There was no air conditioning but a ceiling fan that was more than ample, there was also a large safe which cost €20 to hire for the week plus a €10 deposit which is returned on check-out.
Next morning we were able to go and explore the complex, the pool area was massive and can only be used by guests, on check-in you are issued a card that has to be shown to security to ensure that you are resident in the hotel, there was also a children's pool area that had numerous slides and a secure play area, for kids this would be the "dream" pool, there was also another pool area and a fully equips gym and spa area for adults.
We requested a quiet room prior to arrival and this is what we got, despite the general location of the hotel and the location of our room it was so quiet just what we like.
Room service was daily, bedding changed twice a week and towels daily, the staff were excellent and swiftly cleaned the room but happy to chat away they did an excellent job and a credit to the hotel.
Apart from breakfast on the first day we didn't eat at the hotel but for no reason other than we like to eat at different places each day/night hence why we like self catering, the bars in the hotel were busy and one had a happy hour on from 5pm to either 8 or 9pm.
Despite the negative reviews we read prior to our departure we experienced none of the complaints previous holiday makers expressed, the hotel location is fantastic, the facilities are excellent and room 57 more than met or exceeded our expectations, the only complaint (and it's not really a complaint) was the bathroom was a little dated (peachy coloured suite) but it was clean.
The grounds and gardens of this hotel are equally well maintained and very nice to stroll through.
I would urge anyone to give this hotel a try we definitely will return, our experience was positive from check-in to check-out and had no complaints what's so ever.

Room Tip: Choose room 57 if you like to be close to all the amenities but like privacy and overall a quite loc...

Had an eight day stay here on a golfing holiday stayed in duplex apartment which was okay with two balconies. The kitchen was adequate for making snacks and breakfast, the only problem was the bathroom the bath as in an alcove and it was very awkward to get in and out always had hot water. the pool area was quiet and easy to find a sunbed and sun shade. It is quite a bit spread out hotel so some rooms there are a lot of steps and no lift.

Room Tip: avoid a duplex

Just back from a week in Arona and we stayed at Parque Santiago. Yes, the decor is a bit dated but does that really matter - I think not. This is a little gem, for the money you pay. We were in block Santa Maria, which was by the pool at the beach end of the complex. We had a studio apartment, which is fine for 2 of you but I wouldn't recommend it if there are more of you - go for a larger apartment. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds are so comfortable, I slept like a log all week!! The pools are very clean, although a little on the cold side. The kiddies area is fantastic too. The breakfast and dinner buffets are good quality and good value for money. Big thanks to all the staff for making our stay a relaxed one, but special mention to Ramon, Antonio, Sevardo and Daniel for treating Millie like a princess. I would highly recommend this resort...

Just back from a week here with my husband and two children, aged 6 and 4. We had a brilliant holiday. We had booked a 2 bedroom apt but were allocated a 3 bedroom one instead. When we checked in at about 4:30pm we were given a map at reception and were told that we were staying in the Santa Maria block it did take us a few minutes to find and prob wasn't the easiest thing to do cos we had to drag all of our luggage with us as well as two tired kids but once we found it we were fine. We had a buggy so we were lucky that our room was right beside the lift. The apt was a great size. We had a bedroom downstairs and 2 more upstairs and the best part was that we had a separate bathroom upstairs!! This was brilliant because the kids didn't have to come downstairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. The kitchen had everything that we needed - a ceramic 4 ring hob, a full oven, pots and pans, a toaster, a kettle (not electric but boiled very quickly on the hob) all the glasses, cups, plates, and cutlery u would need. We had a cream faux leather couch and 2 armchairs. We had a huge balcony with 2 tables and 8 chairs (1 each end of the balcony) and 2 sun loungers. The cleaning ladies came everyday and did a great job and were very polite.
The pool area was excellent with a huge number of sun beds and parasols and the kids area was perfect with a kids pool, water slides and play area. This area is supervised by a lifeguard at all times so was very safe. Actually, the whole complex was very safe, there were security personnel patrolling the grounds all the time. When u were at the pool they would ask u to show ur key card to prove that u were a resident.
The supermarket across the way was very good, especially the bakery which had fresh crossaints and pasteries. We found the restaurants to be very nice in the complex if not a little expensive but if u walk towards Los Christianos they are cheaper. The Hard Rock Cafe is a must, the building, atmosphere and food are fab.
The only small gripe that I would gave with PS3 is that I requested an apt with a pool view as I had heard that the street facing ones can be quite noisy. I didn't get this and the music was quite loud at night but finished shortly after 11 which wasn't too bad and also they are doing renovations in some of the apts and just happened to be doing the one next to us so there was a lot of drilling during the day but we weren't there that much so it didn't bother us.
All in all, it was a great holiday and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. We will defiantly be back and would definately recommend.

Just back from a week - fantastic apartments. Very clean and great pool area. Lots of storage and hangers. 4 plates, knives, forks etc which was fine for us as ate out all the time. Supermarket right across the road - bit pricy but handy for drinks and fruit etc . Beach about 2mins walk out the back entrance but is Stoney beach but ok - another 5mins walk gets you to a nice sandy one. About 15mins walk to LC and same to PLA so in the middle of everything. Safari centre and some great shops within 5mins walk and lots of good restaurants - drinks pricy in the area - up to 4e a pint and 7e for cocktails and about 3e for a coke - a lot cheaper in las Americas for drinks . Overall apartments are fantastic value for money and we would def book again
