“Has seen better days”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

This centre has been going downhill in recent years. The back of the left hand side is now full of empty shops. The building is like a rabbit warren with paths going everywhere, and just to confuse, it has two main enterances, so you can go in one side, get lost and come out on the other side completely confused. Having said that, there are a few good Restaurants, you just have to hunt them down. The centre of the complex turns into a German saga holiday renuion in the evening with very old singers.

“Tacky outside, but OK for the day-to-day shopping”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

One of over a dozen shopping centres in the area of Playa del Ingles, the Cita is located near the centre of the resort, within walking distance of several other centres. From the outside the building is a little tacky, being dominated by large models of international landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben and the leaning Tower of Pisa, presumably in an attempt to attract the tourist Euro.
Inside there are a good mix of shops, cafes and bars on several floors. There is a good sized Supermarket on the ground floor where you can get day-to-day groceries if you are holidaying on a self-catering basis. There are plenty of shops and stalls offering souvenirs, holiday clothing and presents for friends and family. Prices are reasonable, much in line with what you would pay elsewhere in Playa del Ingles.
The Cita is worth walking around as you get to know the resort.

“rather shabby, gloomy, uninspiring”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

though looking interesting from the outside with its Maya temple-like decoration, the inside proved to be a labyrinthe of mostly closed shops and bars (their holiday season).

Prices at the various "shops" were felt to be somewhat lower than at Yumbo, but still no real "experience".

The plenitude of German bars would make it somehow a Ballermann 6 in 70s concrete on GC. There are really better places on GC.

“Mostly closed, Concrete jungle !”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

think tacky at its best (!) comical fake statues outside, but inside is a labyrinth of different levels, blind alleyways, and dark intimidating sub ground levels.
on the 'upper/ open floors, there are mainly German drinking bars, all small around the edges and much the same. In the central 'courtyard' there are some more German larger bars.
All the levels are all not even, and do not match, and you can easily get lost through the badly lit pathways on various levels. Some are even dead ends !
Most of the bars and business had long since closed down.
The place is very old (1970's concrete at its very worst) and most of the remaining bars were very tacky and not busy, even empty.
A small 'cluster' of bars on the upper level by the right hand side entrance gallantly had some life, but were not welcoming to anyone other than German people.
A dreadful dark, damp concrete jungle that should have been demolished years ago.
Mostly closed down, and boarded up, for good reason.
would Not recommend.

The place is a bit run down, a few empty shops and it could be the set for a horror movie, some good restaurants are still in there, supermarket is good, for the rest..it seems it is stopped in the 70s
