This restaurant was our favorite one in Playa. Good food and service, wich is difficult to find here. We're in GC for 4 -6 months a year, so it is nice we've a few good places to go.
But our last visit,2 weeks ago changed everything. The food was ok, but after our dinner we both get very sick for 3 days. We need a doctor and medicines, never been so sick before. Something was terrible wrong with the food, probably it was the frozen fois gras, wich we like very much. For us reason never going back again. Real a pitty, because we found this restaurant one of the better ones in Playa.

But I would not make a detour to get here. The food was fine, everything was fine, but nothing was outstanding.

I've been to this restaurant a few times over the years and it delivers consistent quality and exceptional service. When you return you're greeted like an old friend and thanked personally for coming back. And the food matches the service.

There's a limited but wide ranging menu to choose from in this restaurant tucked away in the corner of the Yumbo between bars and other restaurants. You can sit in or outdoors, but beware of the shish smokers in the corner bar next door, which may spoil your meal if that's not your thing.

After being seated, they bring a few nibbles over - some house olives and other delights. The menu has a range of traditional and imaginative hot and cold tapas options, I went for some staples: bread and alioli, marinated olives and prawns in hot garlic oil.

All arrived quickly, the bread fresh from the oven with a homemade alioli that made a big difference from the usual white gloop served elsewhere. The Spanish olives were tasty. more-ish and home marinated in garlic and oil. The sizzling prawn dish was freshly cooked with juicy king prawns, peeled and cooked in olive oil with chunks of garlic floating in the skillet.

I'd recommend their cocktail menu, some of the best I had in the area. Their caipirinha was flavoursome, came with half a lime burning away on top and lasted for the whole meal. Great quality and value.

There is competition for great tapas in the Yumbo, with Wapas Tapas always bursting at the seams, however this may be a contender for best tapas in town, give it a try.

Me and my partner ate here as a spur of the moment choice when walking through the yumbo centre and we were not disappointed! The service we received was next to none and the food was to die for. We shared 5 tapas dishes between the two of us and it was more than plenty. Id recommended the courquttes and the pork as these were amazing. All the food was seasoned very well and tasted amazing.

The staff were friendly and food was cooked perfectly. There was a range to pick from but not to much to confuse you. Waiters are honest WITH what that they believe is the better dishes of the day. The owner is so friendly and clearly has a great relationship with the locals.
