This is a relatively new restaurant in Playa Del Ingles although there have been other "indian" restaurants on the site. Although "going for a curry" can be a bit hit and miss in holiday resorts we do like to have a couple on most holidays and like to try places we've not used before.
Mirchi-Le-Spice is very well presented with attentive staff and enjoyable food. There was a small problem on our first visit in that one dish was missing (not cooked) when the main course arrived but this was dealt with fairly quickly and the overall experience was very good. In fact, we decided to pay a second visit a few days later as we had enjoyed the food so much. By one of those awful coincidences one dish was again missing (not cooked) when the main course arrived - although remedied as quickly as possible I was not as sanguine as I had been on the previous occasion. To be fair, the boss was mortified and genuinely apologetic.
Despite these problems I would still recommend a visit. The food is genuinely good and doesn't have the oily/greasy texture that can otherwise spoil your enjoyment. I also detected some nice fresh spicing in some of the food. The prices are set to give good value for money and the restaurant itself is a pleasant place to eat. I would have seriously considered an "excellent" rating (caveated with expectations in a holiday resort) if it hadn't been for the repeat problem. We will be back in the area in a few weeks time and will certainly visit again.
