My husband an i have booked to come to this hotel nxt may an have just seen that somebody has said it will be closed 4 a refurb could someone let me no if its true plz as was looking 4ward to this hotel

Dear Debbie,

If you wish, you can better reach us at any time on our email buenaventura@lopesan.com for any question you might have, but so far we can confirm you we will be closed for refurbishment from April onwards for probably six months.
As Guest Relations department we do not know what is going to happen with the reservations, so you should probably contact your travel agency or touroperator for it.

Recently stayed here for a week while in Gran Canaria. Really good location for access to the beach and shopping centres without being on a main road.
Our room was a good size with a sea view on the 7th floor. The room was in good condition and serviced daily.
Sun loungers were readily available, although I don’t think it would be easy to get one in peak season. The pool was clean and in good condition.
We were half board, the restaurant was a buffet style which if you are not used to it can be a little daunting. The breakfast range was good and plentiful in supply. Dinner there was lots of choice, although some of the recipes were aimed more at the mainland European guests and the food wasn’t always the hottest.
The staff in the hotel were friendly and attentive, all areas of the hotel spotlessly clean, gardens well maintained.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others.

Have stopped here several times over the years and so booked again immediately after my stay in May which was great.
Unfortunately I have been informed by my travel agent that it is to close next May for refurbishment so I`ve been offered alternative accommodation at the Adoba Continental just round the corner.
C`est la vie as they say and I`m sure once the work is done it'll be even better so will keep an eye out for it opening up again.

The whole Team are a credit to the Hotel as we have experience on our previous visits. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Bar & waiters work very hard and always want to provide a quick and speedy service. Catering staff from chef's to floor team are always there to offer a warm and friendly dinning experience. However not always to my liking there was a massive variety of food to appeal to all palates. The Biggest and best part of our holiday has to be the Animation Team who are outstanding with energy, enthusiasm & positive attitude. Another plus was the English Pub which again was friendly and welcoming. It enable us to watch various sports throughout the day and not have to travel outside the Hotel with kids in tow. Only disappointment this time was the Honolulu Bar pool which was the coldest its ever been so I did not join in in case I took a heart attack (only kidding but not heated enough for me as it has in the past. Great Holiday experience we will be back in early next year and after the refurbishment.

We spent a week at this hotel. Booked a double room with extra bed for our 9 yr old son when we arrived we got given a twin bed with an old, uncomfortable and knackered looking sofa bed. We complained to the management and he moved us to a nicer room with a single bed added in to the room. We were shocked to learn we had to pay extra for air conditioner in a hot country with all inclusive hotel. Thankfully the weather was okay to sleep in at night without aircon in November. Food was okay pretty much the same everyday. The pool was okay but not safe our 9 yr old son cut his foot while playing in the pool. Evening entertainment is appalling but well done to the animation team for giving it a good go at it. Cleaning staff are rude I witnessed a lady got really told off for using the hotel toilet by swimming pool after the cleaner cleaned it.
Overall we had a good holiday but would not be back to this hotel.
