Was really happy in this hotel. Lovely atmosphere, great choice of fresh food, spacious and uncrowded pool areas for sunbathing/switmming, despie 550+ rooms and all full. Very convenient from Airport, bus no 66 leaves 20 past the hour and for €3.70 drops you outside in 25/30 mins. Room was on 6th floor, bed comfortable, small tv, remote control at reception for deposit of €15. Only English speaking channels are CNN & BBC World. Quiet at night so no disturbed sleep. Sunny balcony with amazing sea views. Was just lucky to get this as hadn't paid extra for sea view room. Shower could have been a bit more powerful, but small thing in the overall scale of things. Dining room was very well managed despite there being over 1000 people staying. There was no sense that you were being rushed to finish your meal to free up your table as was the case in 4 Star hotels I have stayed in. Very near prom for lovely sea breezes and walks. 5 min walk uphill to small shopping centre with everything you could want in it. Windy while I was there so no one on the beach - January! Pool areas were sheltered though so all ok there and 2 jacuzzis, lovely. Games room also beside one of the pools, also sauna. Reception staff very helpful. Can't understand some previous negative comments.....if you smile, others smile back! Bedside light stopped working, contacted reception, 2 mins later a man arrived, knocked and replaced bulb. Excellent service. 5 internet spots in reception area - 50c for 10 mins, €1 for 20 mins. Reasonable. My whole stay was very enjoyable and will definitely be back! I was only staying 3 nights but would have liked to stay longer. Bus back to Airport stops 30 mins past the hour outside hotel. All in all a great hotel!

Stayed in late Jan 11 at the beverly.Don't read the rubbish that is on here about it.. it was a cracking hotel for a 3 star.Rooms were cleaned daily, towels changed every other day.We went all inclusive as went on a cheap week away.Food was excellent in the main restaurant.Pool side bar served snack food if you wanted that on the all inclusive.Breakfast were also excellent..Large salad bar, plenty of fresh fruit, lots of various meats and fish in sauces that varied every day.Always pasta and 3 or 4 versions of potatoes.Catered more for europeans especially spainiards but hey ho.If you want chips and burgers then the pool bar is ok.The local wine & spirits were ok.Beer is Esterella Damm on the all inclusive and is drinkable.Location is good & near a bus terminal. We went to Playa de Mogan for 4 euros each.A bargain.Plenty of bars and restaurants in about 5 minutes walk if you are on room only basis.Staff in hotel very friendly & always happy to help you out.Generally a good hotel for a cheap week away.Would i go again? Definately

I cant understand the bad reviews here. The hotel is situated between San Agustin and Playa de ingles, away from the noise and tat, but only 15 mins walk to it along the pleasant promenade. There is a small supermarket across the road. Although the rooms are very basic, they are clean and perfectly comfortable. But no hairdryer + no satellite tv. The pool area is beautiful and very relaxing, there are 3 large pools, one up the stairs is heated which is a huge advantage in winter as the pools tend to be cold, a kids pool and 2 jacuzzis and a snack bar. There were organised activities for kids and adults every day except sunday: archery, water polo, pool aerobics, bingo, etc There is a kids club and a games room with ping pong, pool tables, air hockey and table football. The restaurant is big, well organised, with a good selection of food for all tastes. The restaurant bar is and pricey. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with information about buses etc. The bus stop is right outside the hotel, 30 mins to airport and 15 mins to Yumbo. . Most of the guests were retired Germans.
I paid 165 euros for 3 nights half board for 2 adults and one child - we had an excellent stay and I am sure we will go back.

We got back from a week at this hotel on Jan 3rd 2011. Like many people we had read the reviews and we a little worried about rooms, lifts, grumpy staff etc etc. We checked in with a large group of people, we were dealt with quickly and efficiently and were allocated 3 rooms on the first floor. The rooms were not massive, but very clean with views over the garden. The beds were firm - and there were spare pillows in the wardrobe. The linen and towels were changed twice during our stay. We were on all inclusive package. All meals were buffet style - with excellent choice of food. We were a party of 2 mid forties 2 teenagers and 2 mid sixties - and we all found something to
fill our boots with! The drinks on the all inclusive package meant that you had to queue at the bar - no waiter service, but the bar staff were very quick and pleasent so it was a minor inconvenience. There was entertainment in the main bar every evening, this varied from not so good to ok.
One comment to take serious is the african women on the front - my son had his wallet stolen from his back pack - having stopped to be polite. Don't be polite - be rude and push on through. They surround you in packs of four to six - with nothing to sell - just wanting to touch you - creepy.
There is no safe in the room so we hired a safety deposit box - cost about 13 euro for the week.
Location of the hotel was good, minutes from a lovely beach where you can hire loungers for the day.
A short walk ( up some steep steps) takes you to a small shopping centre with a few bars and restaurants if you fancy some variety.
Overall this hotel was very good, very clean, good food, well worth the money. Oh and the weather was just fab. sunny days with temps of 24-26 degrees.

I have been in Playa del Ingles 21 times and would rate this hotel as one of the best i've stayed in. I was there with my partner over Christmas 2010 and was lucky to get a last minute bargain with Thomas Cook. We booked Half Board and after reading some other comments on this site was not expecting the food to be that good, but to our pleasant surprise the food was REALLY GREAT! I am in the catering business, so I feel I know a lot about food, the breakfast was perfect, lots of replenished food, cereal, juices, coffee, breads etc as well as a grill station where the hard working chefs cooked fried eggs, omelettes and bacon to order. The dinner was fantastic, all very hot and also varied. On Christmas morning we were given Cava a nice touch. I had decided to go out to a restaurant one or two evenings but the food in this hotel was so fine that I ate in the hotel's restaurant every night. The room like many in the resort is a bit dated, but we asked for the top floor and were pleased with the bed comfort and the bathroom etc.. The only (-) was that out of three guest elevators, only one was working, but this was temporary solved by using the back of house 2 elevators. We usually go to the beach at the Rui palace and although we walked all the way a couple of times we mostly used the taxi which are around 4 euro. I only sat at the hotel's pool one day and it seemed fine. But for comfort and food i would give this hotel 10/10. Don't be afraid to book this hotel, I will, again.

I believe that people have to be realistic when writing these reviews and remember that a 3 star hotel will NOT be perfect and as good as a 5 star hotel. I have the feeling that people who have written bad reviews about this hotel have been comparing it across the scale of stars, focussing on the best ones which obvously have 5 stars. People, this is a non-expensive 3 star hotel. With this in mind:
I was very happy with the value for money I got with this 3 STAR hotel (which I, as said deem to be more like 3.5 stars). It was Christmas, the hotel was full and yes, the lifts were a bit busy, staff a little stressed, but there are 528 rooms and all were occupied! Of course it will be a bit hectic with in excess of 1000 guests!
The rooms were lovely (tip - pay extra for a sea view which are south facing. Any other rooms will be dark and you will have cause for moaning). Miniatures were replenished. I thought the food was excellent. A great choice. Deserts could have been a bit more plentiful and coffee could have been filled up more regularly but otherwise very good food. The location is good, internet good (no wifi in rooms though) and the grounds lovely. The pool area is very nice and spacious. If you do not like hard mattresses then do not go here as the mattresses are very hard and the pool is quite chilly but otherwise I really liked it here and absolutely do not see what negative reviews are about if you are being realistic about 3 stars.
