“Great location and cheap”
Reviewed February 7, 2014

Stayed at Beverly Park Hotel for three nights. Certainly got a nice cheap holiday, probably wouldn't stay here again, but had a good time. The rooms were fine- pretty average, pretty dated, but fine- our room wasn't ready for nearly 2 hours when we arrived at the hotel which was quite annoying as it was already 1pm. But luckily this hotel is in a good location, about 5 minutes walk from the beach which was lovely, and right next to a little supermarket too. The hotel food was pretty awful though- breakfast was fine but we struggled to find anything we wanted to eat at dinner time, and had to pay extra for any drinks so we didn't bother, the paying system sounded complicated... Yeah i wouldn't have bothered with half board if i'd known the dinner was so bad, but we survived. The pool area was lovely although the pool itself was apparently freezing- I didn't dare go in- the hotel was full of old couples, we were probably the youngest ones there. Overall, it was a nice holiday in an average hotel- wasn't awful, wasn't great- so if you're after something very basic and cheap and aren't fussy with food, it's worth staying here especially for the location!

Stayed at this hotel from 20th - 27th Jan 2014
Reception - checked in no problems
Room - sea view nice and clean
Food - very good always able to eat, we were all inclusive
Pool Bar- the barman with the grey hair a bit miserable but service good.Help yourself to soft drinks and coffees, snacks - good selection of sandwiches and chips and ice cream.
Main Bar - a bit like a canteen inside but had a lovely outdoor terrace, service good, entertainment not great, but thats personal taste.
This is a good 3* hotel the food is hot and well cooked and a good selection of meats, meat dishes and fish, salads and breads.

Room Tip: pay for a sea view room

I was worried after reading some of the reviews on this hotel after booking. There is no question that the hotel (for the price paid) offers very good value for money. Yes the hotel is dated, the resteraunt is busy at peak times and the reception is sometimes under staffed, however i found myself asking what people expect for the price that they pay?. I stayed three nights and the room was clean, no english TV - so what on holiday who wants to watch TV? the food was perfectly adequate and I diddnt get involved in the entertainment as everyone was over 60 - But then what do you expect of a budget hotel in Gran Canaria in January?
if you want a cheap bit of sun in Januray then this is an ideal spot. i used it a base for a cycling holiday and its was great as all the oldies were in bed by 10 and there was no noise!
I suggest that the people who seem so upset by the the hotel put their hands in their pocket and stay somewhere else..... they may then achieve the level of comfort and standards the price reflects.

So i was staying in Gloria palace hotel. My friend had appendix surgery and since GP was full, we had to move to THIS beverly park hotel. Everything is just horrible, you have to pay for wifi, pay extra for drinks and the food is worse than in a school caffeteria. Rooms are tiny, ugly reminds me of old apartments during communist era. This hotel's staff is acting like they are some high class hotel, but they are not! Worst hotel ever, if my friend wouldnt be after surgery i would have stayed in a tent. Pls, dont waste your money on this, regards, Jakub.

First the good points. Good location. Hotel gardens and pools clean and well maintained. Cleaning staff friendly and very efficient. Food - plenty of choice - as good as most Hotels I have stayed in and well cooked.
The bad. Arrived at 11pm - no room available so had to stay in Eurohotel nearby. Told to return at 1000 - Then told to return at 1200 and then told to return at 1300. But was given free lunch as an apology. Couldn't get drink all this time as needed room key card! Eventually got room at 1300 with help of my holiday rep.
Agree with previous reviewers re business of restaurant but only noticed at dinner as breakfast okay before 0830 when I went. Dinner is very busy - my first night my table was taken between my starter and me getting my main!!! Not impressed.
Was prevented going into dinner with bottle of tap water - impossible to have tap water with meal as you have to buy all drinks including water. I was told. That it was hotel rule but they take no action over the many people who reserve sunbeds before breakfast, so only rules which make them more money are enforced.
Asked for a quiet room so put in room overlooking skylight into entertainments room and very noisy it is too.

I booked a week's holiday in the Beverly Park Hotel in Playa del Ingles on 30.11.13. This hotel is terrible, we left after two days. The hotel was packed to the rafters, people were queuing everywhere, for the dining room, bar and reception.

The hotel offered us four different rooms and each one of them was dirty and smelly. The furniture was broken and chipped and in one of the rooms the bed base was ripped and dirty. There were stains on the walls, the inside of the wardrobes were so dirty that you wouldn't put your clothes in them. There were ants in one of the rooms along with mould in the bathrooms.

I have never stayed in a hotel like this before, this is not a 3 star hotel. i can accept that the hotel is dated , but would expect cleanliness! I think it should be closed down and refurbished as it is just a short walk to the beach and in a good location. The restaurant and food were awful and the public areas in the hotel were dirty and grubby. The pools and the garden areas outside were nice, but there has been no investment on the inside if the hotel. I have photographic evidence of all this. I showed the photos to the manager of the hotel, he offered us a further room but we refused as we had already moved four times! He refused to give us our money back for the two nights we stayed, so we left in disgust.

I am not usually one to complain and always look for the positive things, but there were no positives in this hotel. We spent our time in the little hotel next door Veril Playa which was very friendly and spotlessly clean. We moved to another part of the resort to the Hotel Sol Barbican and had a totally opposite experience.
