Just had an all inclusive week at this hotel ,on the whole it was a good holiday The majority of the staff were very freindly bearing in mind the hotel also has a lot of multi national guests to look after ,so there will always be a language barrier to some of the staff aswell as us. Although as a few people have pointed out previously, the miserable git at the beach bar was in need of a personality transplant. There was a large variety of food ,though the sausages and bacon at breakfast didnt look or taste good. The swimming pools were very clean as was the whole hotel, our room needed updating but was spotless. The entertainment was not the best has to be said ,apart from the two brit girls at the end of the week doing the bendy body and hula hoop act,(im sure they were on britians got talent firing the bow and arrow with her feet). On the whole me and the rest of the family would defiantly go back to this hotel for another holiday though probably half board next time but thats a personal preferance. If i was to offer some advice to the hotel managemant it would be to ditch that barman, start upgrading the rooms ,let kids use inflatables in the pools and have a wider variety of entertainment in the day and at night.

Room Tip: have a sea facing room because the rooms on the side of the hotel have to listen to the air con unit...

Not too bad for what u pay for, rooms are clean and tidy ( they r not the Ritz) but for gran canaries standerds, they r good, clean towels, sheets and well kept over all. the pool area ( 3 pools!) r well equiped and nicely layed out with enough loungers and side tables... bar at the pool area.. what not to like!!.. the hotel is on the beach and walking up in the morning and having a nice walk at the promanade is a must.., the hotel situated in a good distance to the city centre (4euro in a taxi or 20 min walk), 20 min walk to the nude beach ( thats for u people who don´t like a tan line ) ;) ..... had breakfast at the hotel every morning , and i give it thumbs up... my only negative input would be the airconditioning( there isn´t any!) or even not a fan!.....my other one is wifi should be free , although there is an internet station at the reception area or they charge u 6euro for wifi a day.... apart from that ,its all good.looking forward to go back in march and would be staying there again :).

Room Tip: u better off on not the sea area ( much less sun hitting the room during the day) so much cooler roo...

My Wife & I plus our friends, another couple, have just returned fron the beverly Park. 29th Oct 2012. The rooms are very clean and serviced well every day, Plenty of sun beds, despite the usual German habit of reserving all the best & sunniest beds with their towels at 7 to 7.30am every morning, which is (suposedly) not allowed by the hotel. Meal times were not bad, the usual bit of pushing but in late October it wasn't too crowded so quite comfortable, The Maître d' in the dining room (there were 3 of them) were all very friendly, with a cherrie "Ola" and a smile or joke,
but the waiting staff, (both Male & Female) were downright rude, none that we found spoke any English and you were made to feel like you really shouldn't be there. .And exactly the same applied to the barstaff who would be talking among their selves & when you went to the bar would just stand in silence & look at you till you said what you wanted, when they would continue their conversation, pour your drink and place it on the bar without so much as a glance at you, & not a word spoken, in the UK this would be called ignorance!!. Our group of 4 are a friendly bunch having a laugh & joke with anybody, I even asked the Maitrea d why he was so happy, and his staff were such miseries, and he joked & said that was because they were working & he wasn't. The food was very tasty & varied for the first 2 days, but it was the same food for the rest of the week so became very monotonous, to the point where although were were all inclusive, we had to go out to the local eateries to get some decent meat & meals, which usually provided some form of entertainment as well, which was distinctly lacking at the hotel, which only had entertainment on one of our seven nights. The climate was brilliant with temps starting at 25 rising to 31, but after trying everything to get the air con working, we found out that the hotel tries to save money by turning the air con off in September, which made for very hot & uncomfortable sleepness nights.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view as the sunrise is wonderfull accross the ocean. It was slightly noisy above the p...

All inclusive week away with one of my best friends without husbands ( because both our husbands hate beaches and hot weather). Had a total ball at Beverley Park. There were no kids around as we avoided the school weeks. The food, drink and service were all excellent, the staff were all friendly apart from one guy at the pool bar, but hey nothing is perfect. The rooms although slightly dated were perfectly clean. The bathroom and shower, towels etc all clean and perfect. Bus stop just outside took us many places Maspalomas, Mogan and a couple of other lovely market towns really cheap in comparison to the rep tours. Will definately recommend to friends and family as I would defintely go back.

Room Tip: We will probably ask for a sea view room next time. But our room didn't have much of a view but...

Having stayed for one week , it was pleasant enough apart from these small points.Hopefully the HOTEL itself will adhere to these in the long term. On arriving our room was not ready, so we had to mill about for 30 mins or so, and with a small child, having been up fron 0300hrs that morning was not acceptable. The FOOD, if you like salad and raw meat then theres a treat in store. No kids menu's so hard to find something for my wee lad except Chips (fries). In the pool area, although nice, don't expect to play around with blow up balls etc, NOT ALLOWED, even though we were in the kids side. Too strict. The Staff do cater for the Spanish mostly and you can see from the onset it's all about them when you arrive. The beach is a few moments away (GOOD)
We were All inclusive which should mean a drink and something to eat at least during all of the day,it does'nt run this way.If you want a Tea or Coffee first thing buy a kettle.
Next time I plan, I will be looking at the following before booking: Childrens Menu's,Pool areas that kids can actually play in.Accommodation was cramped, but your only sleeping there. The last thing is entertainment. KIds Disco comprises of 2 British songs and Spanish songs to there treat. Only runs for 30mins and guess what, that's it. It is a nice Hotel if you want to have a quiet time and have no kids but learn Spanish to get full attention.

Room Tip: You will pay extra for pool side rooms so be prepared.Remember that you are only sleeping in it not...

i took my mum to this hotel for 12 nights, we have been on 5* hols mostly to long haul destinations before this. i am 52 my mum is 75 yrs. described ourselves as friends as we did not take any children.
RESORT-- jump in a taxi at the door to close resorts of mas, playa del ingles and st augustin fares are 3-4 euros, there are buses we didnt bother. shopping is quite good, nice leather bags etc, good to explore all commercial centres. we did not do any nightlife. puerto mogan was lovely get a bus to p.rico and then a ferry its really worthit, nice jewellery shopping and good food.
HOTEL--- needs renovation urgently or pull down n rebuild, staff friendly in that spanish way. food very good loads of salad and fresh fish/meat at the grill section. cocktails-dont bother they taste like squash, make up your own there is fresh squeezed oj at the pool bar also fizzy drinks also local liquor including a lovely almond ( like disarrono) and coffee(like tia maria) and one like baileys ( the barmen call it that its similar), beer is lovely cool lager. ther are ice cream tubs in strawb n choc flavs these were very welcome, help yourself at the pool bar and restaurant, the beach is a 5 min walk the loungers are 7.50 eurs for a day.
hotel is very clean staff are constantly cleaning, maids daily but annoyingly mixed up our pillows and xchanged towels sometimes. rooms walls are thin take ear plugs. pools are really lovely some tiles missing but there are 2 outside jacuzzis with different heat and intensity levels, there is a spa didnt use it, pools are not heated but one day ambient temp was 40 degrees !! rooms are small, so what, no air con, no t or cfee making, any drinks at night are from vending machine cost 1 euro for 500ml btl, we went to nearby s'mkt and got lrg bottle water for at night much cheaper but not cold. we paid for sea view nice but prob more noisy from late night revelling the pool bar closes and indoor opens at 6pm
ENTERTA|INMENT-- they do try but it wasnt our thing at all, very old fashioned and we are getting on in years!! mini disco 20 mins 9pm, only tv is news channel and wifi does not work for kindle downloads. not disturbed by entertainment as we had a 5th floor room, no mozzies either.
overall good for the price.

Room Tip: road/mountain view i think would be quieter as the road is not very close, sea view is nice some noi...

I asked my wife to come up with the heading which means she enjoyed our stay there.

Generics - Being English, quite strange to be the minority ! (which could be an understatement in this day age) when on holiday.

The majority of the customers to the hotel are the senior citizens of Spain, with a few Germans, but don't let this put you off.

We did On the Beach and travelled via Ryan Air ...............so what we paid for 10 days all inclusive, am not going to quibble about, and to be frank for what you pay, food was better than expected and always a choice which was more than edible and some of the salad and sweets, were quite amazing especially the creamed rice with cinnamon chocolate sugar which I had to ration as didn't want to put on the pounds, but some of the comments below about standards come on .. for what you pay, and the present economic climate, use some EQ and make your money stretch.... You pay for what you get at the end of the day ... complain about the costs rather than the standards expected.

Negatives

Fabric of the hotel - well it is a bit 70's and hotel is outdated but then a major refit would cost millions so don't expect things to change.

Entertainment is moreso for the geriatrics and spanish orientated but there was a good shop with two english girls doing contortionist tricks which was thoroughly entertaining and it was a friday night.

Lifts - are heavily used albeit OTIS, do work but can take their time.
Beds - well a bit hard and single beds so if your a bit romantic can be an issue!

Positives

Food - had no issue and plenty of choice. being all inclusive we could have gone silly, and gone for breakfast, dinner and tea at the main restaurant, we only attended dinner once just to look at the choice, but we were settled for the pool bar and grill for a brunch of either cheese and ham toasties, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and chips any time between 11 and 5, and a coffee machine as well as a drinks machine where you helped yourself. Superb :-)

Booze - first thing I did having been to Eygpt more so to scuba dive rather than the heritage, is check the beer its not watered down and the local Tropical and a nice lager. The spirits were good measures and you could order Baileys, so the all inclusive can stretch to imported alcohol as well.

Location - Gran Canaria strange place look out over the sea no clouds, look back inland towards the volcanic mountains cloud and rain showers, but because I imagine the precipitation, the clouds stop about a mile from the beach and hey ho plenty of sunshine... The North I was told it rained a lot but in the south - was told only two days rain in 18 months, and looking at the vegetation can see why? Perhaps they have a southerly wind, who knows but the clouds although a plenty seem to stay away from the beach?

Hotel Views, looking at previous reviews, we did not have a south facing view and to be honest considered the amount of time in the room not a ball breaker for us?

Main thing was plenty of sunbeds and three decent sized pools to lie around so happy days/

To surmise,

Value,

Beer was excellent and from a keg and the local brew which you paid for the same in a bar?

Plenty of space around the pool to enjoy the sun and no sign of towels on prime location sunbeds at 10am in the morning. Note: german contingent less than the Brits.

Food - no complaints - but then that's my opinion - and with a free carafe of local red wine each evening then I happily satisfied.

All in all - would go again and as the diving out there was exceptional will be looking to go again next sep/oct.

Footnote: the steps are still there but modernised and more manageable, also would not recommend the hotel for a lads week, google yumbo centre, certainly entertaining and if your open minded a evening sightseeing must do, but not for the closed or feeble minded.
