One of the pricier restaurants in Playa del Ingles. My girlfriend and me visited it one evening because of the recommendations on Tripadvisor, and we got disappointed. The atmosphere is cosy and the presentation is better than many other places including some free appetizers - but it all falls apart when you get the real food.
We ordered a garlic bread and garlic shrimps. The garlic bread was so hard - like when you heat bread several times, it just crumbled. The shrimps were ok, but we would've liked more bread to go along with the olive oil. Without, the dish was too small for the price, because of the very few shrimps actually in it.
We then got our main course, a fillet steak with mushroom sauce. As standard you get the meat, the sauce and rice. The meat was well prepared and plenty, but we missed something to go along with the meat. It was just.. meat. And the worst part was the rice - it was not nearly finished or it had been dried again - we could literally break a tooth on it. That's the moment when the concept of a pricey restaurant falls apart - they can't even cook rice!
On top of this, a larger group arrived and we were completely ignored for 45 minutes (after we had finished), untill we had to stand up and go to the kitchen and ask to pay. Travelling as a couple, we are never the most "profitable" customers, but we hate being treated unequally let alone be ignored.
In essence, the meat is ok, but nothing special, but it's just meat, nothing else, they can't cook the rice properly and the food does not NEARLY justify the relative expensive prices.
The service was also very bad in our experience.
We have to give this restaurant the lowest grade, simply because uncooked rice is not acceptable in ANY restaurant.
