We booked this after reading all the good reviews of these apartments, they certainly didnt live up to expectations, bedroom was small and a bit cell like with only a small window to let in any light or air in and with no air conditioning meant leaving the window open let all the local noise in. The lounge area was small & claustraphobic & had apparently been recently re furbed, I guess fitting an LCD tv must qualify but couldn't see much other evidence of it. The bathroom consisted of a shower only and had cracked tiles with the drain cover hanging off & loose and looked quite grim(mildew), this was bought to the attention of the hotels staff & their response was that this was 'acceptable'.
The balcony overlooked the pool and was full of people shouting up & making lots of noise in general calling up to people on their balconies from the poolside. The area also seems to be the gay centre of playa del inglis, I am not anti gay but they far outnumbered heterosexual people and at times it seemed quite intimidating, all said the place is ok if you have come to party & have a loud good time with a lot of homosexuals but wasnt our idea of a holiday. We paid to upgrade to the Gran Canaria Princess hotel at the resort and found this to be excellent, all in all Playa Del Inglis is a good resort with beautiful beaches and sand dunes, you just have to ignore the pushy time share people.

Having been to playa del ingles 3 times before, i had seen the buenos aires and always wanted to go! i wasnt dissapointed - hotel was fantastic, pool amazing - jacuzzi a nice touch :) , rooms cleaned daily and staff couldnt be any more helpful or friendly! The only thing lacking was air con as even though we travelled in nov it was 24c or higher at night !!!!

located at the corner of the yumbo and only ten mins walk from the beach there was no need for taxis!

would like to recommend a cruise on the Afrikat run by bar nesta - all the beer and sangria u can drink and a few wee cheeky shots thrown in for good measure. dont worry about food - they also provide a buffet style lunch !!

Have been home for just over a week, stayed at the buenos aires for 7 nights, had no problems whatsoever. Not sure how recently, but our room appeared to have been updated from the pictures and videos here, new flatscreen TV, sofa bed and chairs etc. so contemporart look too.
The rooms were cleaned every day except sunday, and always to a good standard. Towels were changed every other day, bedding every 3rd/4th day. Having read about noise from bars etc I'd asked for (and was given) a room on the higher floors and away from hard rock- i needn't have worried the noise was minimal from these, surprising considering how close the hotel is to Yumbo. Word of advise on Hard Rock... The portions are HUGE! I was full after the starter, felt really bad sending my main back after only a few bites, but the food was good it has to be said. Whilst we were staying the hotel restaurant was not open at all, but bar food was available in the day.
There didn't appear to be air conditioning, but we didn't find it a problem- the hotel is open all around you, opening the door was enough to have a nice breeze through
The pool are was nice, clean and had enough sunbeds, but the jacuzzi- the button for bubbles kept breaking! not exactly safe considering the surrounding water, but a scandinavian gentleman taught us how to start it by re-attaching the button to the plastic tube inside the button (not recommending it but it worked).
Only down side for us, I'm sure that most people wouldn't be affected, was the lack of parking@ the hotel- what was available was always taken. In between the hotel and the Yumbo is a little side street- the only place we found that was free to park, you could see the car from the hotel so was happy to leave it there, and had no problems.
Our favourite time @ the buenos Aires, purely for childish humour had to be early evening- we ended up calling it pose off- when lots of people would come out and stand on the balconies- because we were on the top floor, and the horse shoe shape of the hotel, you could see everyone, marks out of ten for the best pose! Full marks for the guy stood flying the flag above his head!

These a great apartments - good value for money, attentive and friendly staff, exceptionally clean (apartments cleaned every day), clean pool and poolside (cleaned morning and evening), food at the snack bar is very good and reasonably priced. I've stayed there previously on Half Board basis and found the food to be very good on the whole (it did depend on which chef was on duty at the time). Also the pool is heated during winter - a big advantage over other apartments that have freezing cold pools that are too cold to use.

One niggle is that the bedrooms are simply functional and a little bit cramped but that's quite minor compared with the many positives that the Buenos Aires can boast and which draw me back time and time again. Trouble is at full price, they can be a little expensive for what you get, but they do offer some great deals occasionally so it's worth snapping these up when they're available. I was hoping to go there in November this year but sadly they'd booked up pretty early for the week I wanted (still can't work out why or what's on in GC that week). It's also a shame that they don't do 2 bedroom apartments because I'd be there twice a year if they did!

It's also ideally located for the Yumbo and is within staggering distance from the pubs and clubs. Despite this, it's surprisingly quiet and I've never had a sleepless night. With the bedroom windows open at night there may be some ambient noise from the scandinavian bar opposite the hotel but it's never really been a problem. Some have reported noise from the Hard Rock Cafe beneath the hotel but to be honest, I've never heard anything.

All in all a great place to stay and it's one that's on top of my list in Gran Canaria.

We go on holiday 3 times a year because we always have such a lovely welcoming time we simply can't wait to go back, so we go back again and again and again.

The hotel makes it for us because everything is done to a super high standard. The maids come in everyday, the beds are made with fresh sheets everyday and the towels replaced everyday. We get the perfect room everytime because the management have grown to know us and our preferences, it's just great to have that personal touch. The rooms are all very clean and the hotel hasn't long had a complete refurb so it's a fabulous standard.

The staff are all very smart and a pleasure to chat to sometimes. They are always very polite and helpful.

The kidney shaped pool is gorgeous, so warm and lovely to swim in. There is a spa and pool bar and restaurant serving drinks and food all day long.

Expensive for a single traveller. Although refurbished a couple of years ago they have had some rough types staying who have vandalised the rooms and facilities. Crockery, glassware and cutlery very good; pots good but teflon peeling off pan. Microwave and kettle great. Only one flat pillow per bed. Found bed and furniture comfortable.
