Good location. Clean. Friendly. Will stay again and recommend to friends. spending 12 Euros once or twice a week to have a la carte menu in restaurant rather than buffet nice treat. But buffet perfectly good.

My Partner and I flew out to Gran Canaria and stopped at this property for 10 nights from the 26th November 2012 - 6th December 2012 with Thomson's.

The hotel has recently been refurbished and you can tell this as soon as you pull up outside the hotel on the coach. Inside is very modern and as you can see from other peoples pictures, there is quite a lot of pink everywhere, which is really nice, but not in your face as it is broken down with other colours.

Reception were friendly and couldn't do enough to help. When we checked in, they noted that it was my birthday on the 5th December from the passport, and on the actual date, we were given champagne at the dinner table. There is always someone manning the reception, so if you wanted to go out in the evening and not take your key, you could leave it at reception.

The food at the hotel was gorgeous, we found something really nice to eat every evening. For the evening meal, you are allocated a time when you first check-in at reception, this could be 6pm or 8pm. Then when you visit the restaurant for the first time, they allocate you a table - which is were you'll site for the duration of your holiday. A member of staff comes round on the first night to ask which sitting you'd prefer and if you want to stop at the table you've been allocated or would like to move somewhere else. Breakfast you could sit anywhere in the restaurant and it was available from 8am to 10am. Again there was plenty of choice to choose from, from cooked breakfasts to pastries etc.

The pool area was a very pleasant area and plenty of sun beds to choose from. One little thing I would say, the pool is meant to be heated during the winter months, but to me it didn't feel very heated and the same goes for the Jacuzzi as well. The pool bar serves lovely food, so would definitely recommend trying food from there.

We stopped in room 441 and it was faultless!! In fact I'd say it was one of the best rooms due to its location as its on the top floor and you get the sun on the balcony till quite late on in the day time. It also looks over the pool. It was a little walk away from the lifts, but that wasn't a problem for us at all. TOP TIP THOUGH...don't walk around naked in your room with the nets/curtains open or on the balcony, as we saw many people on the other side of the hotel doing this. Only one little niggle that we would say is during the duration that we were there, the sheets were never changed!! We know this because there was a pen mark on my sheet and it was there from the day we arrived to the day we departed. The towels however were changed every three days or so. There aren't any tea or coffee making facilities in the room, so I'd recommend taking a kettle etc if you wanted a hot drink in your room.

So overall this hotel was perfect, in the perfect location as it wasn't far from the Yumbo center either and we will definitely be returning at a later date.

As a travel agent from the U.K, if you are looking at stopping at this property, I'd say book it as you won't be disappointed. If there is anything I've missed out or anything you'd like to ask, please do drop me an email.

Room Tip: Try visiting Ricky's Cabaret Bar in the Yumbo Center for good evening entertainment.

Just had a week in this hotel and thought it was great. friendliest and most helpful staff ever. food was extremely varied and really good quality enjoyed every meal. being allocated a table for dinner is no big problem as every nationality in the hotel speak some English and seemed friendly and they are tables for two so you're not technically sat with anyone if you're not in the mood for talking. rooms were lovely, big and very clean with room service everyday. The pool area is big with loads of sunbeds and as there are no families with loads of kids taking up the sunbeds there were always beds available no matter what time of day. Across the road is the Yumbo Centre which is brilliant, so many bars and shops absolutely something for everyone, felt very safe there and very friendly. so location is really good and only 10 min walk to a beautiful beach. it's only 3 star but don't be put off it should be higher. it's a lovely hotel with good service, good food. will be returning.

The Hotel Outfitting is in a good middle Class Service. Especiall for this Stay, we have to say, that the Food was really very good in the Hotel!!! Good taste andit was frsh too. A lot of Clubs and Bars just beside the hotel. But inside the Hotel it was calm.

We booked this holiday at very short notice, not expecting too much of the weather, but were pleasantly surprised. It was warm and sunny, although it did become cloudy very quickly, at times.
The hotel has recently been totally refurbished and it shows.
The pool area is spacious and spotlessly clean. There was someone mopping the decking throughout the day. The sunbeds were comfortable, which can't be said for a lot of other places. There are pool sunbeds which are great if you like a soak while sunbathing! There's a Jacuzzi and four poster double sunbeds too.
The rooms are well furnished, tastefully decorated and the beds are comfy.
There's entertainment several times a week and resident singers every night.
On the down side, the restaurant is too small for the amount of guests staying in the hotel. Consequently, there are two mealtime sittings. One at 6pm and the other at 8pm. Even so, there are barely inches between the tables, so it feels as if everyone is sitting at the same table. (A bit like school dinners for those old enough to remember them!) It can be awkward at times when there is insufficient room for one guest to pass behind another, which means that they have to move to allow access.
Every member of staff that we had any dealings with, was friendly and extremely obliging.
The vast majority of guests are male.
Mark, the Thomson representative at the hotel, was very helpful, and was a wealth of information about where to go and what to do.
The Yumbo Centre, which is just a few minutes walk from the hotel, caters mainly for (male) adults at night.

We stayed for a week in November this year. We usually stay at the Neptuno but it was full. There were hardly any English in the hotel which is fine but meant very few people to chat to. Breakfast was awful, the dining room is so busy because it is only open for two hours. You have to get absolutely everything yourself including cups, cutlery before you even begin getting food. Dinner was ok but pretty much the same every night.
The refurb means the hotel is quiet up to date compared to some in Playa! But some of the design is pretty gaudy...pink and bamboo, would be better in a Spanish theme.
Wouldn't stay again but would still recommend to others over many of the other hotels in Playa which look really awful!

we just spend a week at this hotel. i had my doubts about this "package holiday" concept. We arrived and were given a fine room - large and confortable. Both of our daily meals (breakfst and dinner) were top quality. The dinner buffet varied every day - and it was definitely an upgraded menu. The service was fine. We had issues with the electricity in our room, and the hotel sent repairmen up a few times until they discovered the problem. I was definitely recommend. Also - the close proximity to the Yumbo Center makes it an even better choice of hotels.

Room Tip: we got a room facing the street - at first we thought we would hve been better off with a pool view...
