“Excellent don't over look!”
Reviewed January 4, 2014 via mobile

Fabulous food, service & atmosphere what more can you ask for. We ate here on several occasions we were always greeted with friendly welcoming faces. Menu is vast and everything we sampled was really pleasing and more than reasonably priced, the breakfast sharing platter was just amazing real home cooked food. Would definitely return on my next trip back and recommend this place is a lovely friendly establishment.

“Still good food but prices have gone up”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

As per usual we eat in this bar/restaurant every time we visit Playa Del Ingles. On this visit we did notice that the prices have gone up since our last visit and this makes it less of a good deal. Found the service still fairly good but slow at times. We did fid the size of the steaks that we got varied a fair bit so it was pot luck at how big the steak was (all were still very good quality and cannot fault the cooking). I did try the pepper sauce one night on my Sirloin and I can only say I wish I had not bothered, It was very salty and had little or no pepper in it and not one peppercorn (a very important ingredient in a proper pepper sauce) if this is the quality of the sauces they are service can only advise that you skip them. We did try a starter on our last night and opted for the stuffed skins with cheese and bacon. These were very tasty but very over priced at 4.50 Euros for 2 small skins. All in we would still eat in here when we visit Playa Del Ingles but would only opt for a main course. We do understand that prices have to go up but come on guys you had a very good name for great value and good food. Also noted that the menu has been cut back a great deal and they cannot be faulted for this and no restaurant can afford to waste food with a huge menu that does not sell before it goes out of date. We also ate breakfast here one morning and found this to be good value and very tasty (we don't eat a cooked breakfast every morning and we do prefer to have something lighter in our accommodation.

“Still good, but prices have increased and menu selection decreased.”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

We have been visiting the red cow regularly when staying Playa Del Ingles over the last few years. This trip we visited a few times for dinner and once for breakfast. We noticed that the prices have increased and the menu selection has been cut. Steaks are still good but are no longer excellent value, just good value.

Hi thank you for your review. We are delighted to have repeat customers. It's nice to know people like what we do. I can confirm for you that the price of the steaks hasn't changed for 2 years and while yes, we have taken a few things of the menu, we have actually added more than we took off. We have to alter the menu to move with the times but please, if we have taken something off that you liked, do tell the staff as we can usually cook it for you or at least offer it for the next day if we need to source ingredients. We have changed the layout of the menu which may well make it appear smaller when, in reality it is actually larger.
Also, we have many discounts and special offers every week, for example 20% off the menu price of breakfasts at the moment and deals on roast dinners with desserts. Always worth checking the menu boards
If there is anything I can help you with or anything you would like us to prepare for you on your next visit, please do contact me at redcowshenanigans@yahoo.co.uk
we are always more than happy to help and always want to keep our regular customers happy
thank you for your review

“Good value home cooked food”
Reviewed December 9, 2013

The Red Cow Pub is the place to eat in Playa Del Ingles for good value home cooked food.
Everything from all day breakfasts to roast dinners, take away pizza etc.
Everything cooked fresh to order and very good value.
Staff are friendly and efficient and drinks are good value.
Spoke to other diners and the general opinion was that they wished they had found this eateries earlier in their visit.
Good children's menu.
You can even watch football and all the British soaps here too !
Usually go all inclusive at our hotel which is adults only but as visiting with our grandson this time went self catering and the Red Cow fitted the bill perfectly.
