This hotel is a great venue for all...it caters well for families and also for couples as if you want peace and tranquility then the 9th floor is the place to be as the views are lovely and the surroundings serene. I went with my partner and my daughter and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although we were all inclusive we ate at The Gorbea restaurant on the 9th floor as a special treat for my birthday and was looked after extremely well by Aleman who was not only very friendly but also very professional and always smiling....good service and pleasant staff go a long way. We met some great people and enjoyed their company so hi to Jo and Martin and Sarah and Stuart and their families...thanks for your company. We would definitely return. The Stanton crew.

Thoroughly enjoyable holiday, the first thing that you notice is how helpful and eager to please the staff are. The restaurant on the 9th floor is well worth a visit, a big thank you especially to Aleman who looked after us exceedingly well and who is extremely professional. The views and the serenity of the 9th floor are spectacular and could have stayed there for the duration of the holiday. We made great friends and enjoyed Stuarts, Martin, Jo and Sarah's company who made our holiday that bit more special. Would definitely return. Anthony Stanton and family

Nice hotel, very clean. We eat very well. The only problem was that after the night show there were music at the disco ,music that we could ear it inthe room as loid that we needed ear plug so we can sleep. That music when more or less 1o'oclock in the morning. For us it was a problem that we will not go back there!but if like to disco all night you go and it will be perfect!!! .The beach is at more or less 600m.

I have just returned to the Uk from this hotel 2 days ago. The hotel is lovely, staff are quite friendly some more than others. Ramon is brilliant he takes the orders for the drinks, no problems with the staff, reception, restaurant, cleaners all very good, courteous and friendly.

The location is the problem, the beach closest to the hotel is black sand, but the hotel does offer a courtesy bus to playa del Ingles and Maspalomas, which is well worth a visit. Quite a distance to the shopping centre, down hill and then a good walk back uphill, and this coupled with the heat to me makes this totally unsuitable for people with walking difficulties or health problems, although a taxi back from the shopping centre is approximately 3 euros, feel the tour operator should have pointed this out in their brochure, not the hotels fault!

As far as the all inclusive is concerned it was the usual, entertainment and food, but I feel from a food point of view I have had far better. There is always something you can eat but the meat to me did not come up to standard. The food was beautifully presented, and there are theme nights, but dont expect it to be the same as the UK.

Plenty of sunbeds but I did have my towels removed one morning by the pool attendant, he is not the friendliest person there, but yet I was gone 20 minutes but some people reserve their beds for a full day and dont put an appearance in, I put my towels on the bed at 9.l5.

The down side was I arrived at 9.25 pm and paid for eleven days yet my all inclusive ended at l2 noon, so I asked reception why have I paid for ll days to be given ten and a half, apparently it would be too difficult for the computer to work out what time you arrived and when your all inclusive should finish. I was given a meal and drink ticket for the two of us for lunch as I did not leave this hotel until 6.20 pm. The reception staff were brilliant.

Could not really understand why balcony lights were on from approx 9 pm till l0.30 pm when everyone was at the bar and entertainment, and then you go to your room at eleven and are in the dark on the balcony.

Overall, yes I enjoyed the holiday and hotel, would I go again, - no, simply because of the location, would like to try Gloria Palace in Amadorres though!!

I cannot comment on the Spa because it seemed very pricey, and did not attend. There is a chill out area on the top floor, but this has to be paid for, think it was five euros, per person, but then your drinks are not included. My daughter attended the gym the only time it was free was between one and two pm, just when everyone is going to lunch, it should be free all the time!

The entertainment was ok, some acts better than others, but the duos before the main act were not good.

Stayed at Gloria Palace San Agustin all inclusive in the last week of June 2013. Absolutely loved it!! First of all its about a half hour transfer from the airport not the 50 mins it says is the estimate! On arrival they bring you champagne or orange juice if you prefer. You got a room card for each person which is personalized with your name and date of your holiday!! Such a clever idea - if you lost your room card no one knows what room your in as it just has your name, so they can't steal your things!

I had to pay extra for a better room as when i booked there were only 3 rooms left in the hotel apparently! However this meant i got a room literally outside the lift - so good and easy and a room that had a pool and sea view! beautiful! room 918 on the 4th floor! The room had a lovely bathroom with 2 sinks however one day there was a cockroach in there but i called reception and they came and got it straight away! The bedroom had a desk and chair, a bench, two beds, a sofa which became a bed, a flat screen tv, a fridge, a safe, big wardrobes, a dresser and a balcony with a table and chairs and also a towel rack!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner were typical of an all inclusive restaurant, buffet style but with a HUGE selection! I am a fussy eater and they had something for everyone. They had pizzas, pancakes, burgers, chicken, eggs, different meats being cooked fresh for you every day in front of your eyes.
The best all inclusive ive had drinks-wise because they are ALL BRANDED! Amazing!!! Cocktails made with smirnoff vodka, bacardi rum, archers peach, and actual Coke in glass bottles! Only annoying thing is because its a half board hotel they swipe your room card with every thing you get, every drink, every meal time! Its annoying if you walk all the way to the pool bar and have forgotten your card (happened to me so many times).

Also they had people bringing things round at the pool throughout the day, eg, fresh fruit or sweets. The reception called the room and left notes a couple of times to check if we needed anything or if everything was ok in the room.

On the roof they have an adults only pool and a nudist area. I didn't see the nudist area but the adult pool are was great! You had to pay 5euro for the day but you got a towel for the day and a free drink. It was so peaceful up there in comparison to the main pool, only about 10 people up there! They have beds around the pool with a canopy so lovely in the shade! there is a bar up there but sadly it isn't included in the all inclusive which is pretty annoying!!

They main pool is lovely and big and there is a pool bar. they have activities throughout the day including bowls, bingo, archery, darts and waterpolo. if you win or are on the winning team at one of these then at the evening entertainment show you have to go up and get a certificate and a t-shirt! The evening entertainment was brilliant! Something different every night and not your usual bog-standard entertainment, was so exciting and entertaining!! The bar gets absolutely packed every night for the entertainment as no one wants to miss out! the bar is lovely and the waiters come around to the seats to take drinks orders and bring around free popcorn!

Over all a lovely stay, only a few annoying bits, and cockroach terrified me but otherwise amazing i have recommended it to all my friends and recommend it to you!

Room Tip: higher rooms get a view of both pool and sea and a part of the island. rooms ending in 17 and 18 are...

The hotel was brilliant, clean, rooms large. We had one over looking the pool bar. The reception staff were very helpful and the maids looked after the rooms well. We had a problem with the safe with an unlocking fault, maintenance were there after 15 minutes and replaced with no further problems. The sun beds were reserved early but we always managed to get some, the pool ones going first but the outside veranda bit was lovely as you could catch just a little bit of breeze.
What we saw of the entertainment was good but the tables filled up quickly so there wasn't anywhere to sit and not enough bar staff to cover all the tables plus the wait at the bar its self took a long time. We would sit up at the pool bar which you rarely had to wait long for a drink and the waiters never scimp on any measures. Sangria was lovely. Food was excellent with always a good choice. We could always find a table and drinks normally served very quickly.
Because we arrived late, we weren't being picked up until 6 on the last day. All inclusive finishes at 12 but they give you a food voucher which also let us have a drink in the main restaurant. You can use the thalasso spa facilities to have a shower, they will supply towels again if you ask at reception.
We had a good deal for all inclusive with cosmos for this hotel and it was well worth it but I wouldn't have wanted to stay there and have to pay for the drinks. Two drinks when it came up on the till was 10 euros per round for us which would have made it a very expensive holiday.
All in all we had a lovely holiday and would come here again for the right deal. I say that only because we like to go to new places each time so don't generally go back to the same place.

We stayed at the Gloria Palace for 2 weeks, end of June, beginning of July. There were 2 adults and one 14 year old in our party and we stayed in a family apartment. This was very spacious and spotless. Lots of hanging up space and large family bathroom. We had a balcony which looked out onto the front of the hotel and sea view. It was well located and very quiet. The pool area was lovely although the beds wee jammed together but you could easily move them. We put our towels down some mornings as everyone else did and we noticed that as the hotel got busier it was harder to find a bed but it was ok. The staff at the poolside bar were amazing, so friendly and cheery! Thank you! We were all inclusive and this was the best i have ever had! plenty of Choices drink wise! The food was amazing, lots to choose from at all meal times and again staff were pleasant and helpful! You get to know them and they never pass without saying hello! Entertainment staff worked really hard during the day and at night with always something on the go for all ages. There was always nightly shows on which varied! again Entertainment team worked really hard. We took the courtesy bus to maspalomas and play de ingles a few times which was handy! Also went on the bus to Mogan which was lovely, market day is a Friday. As a treat we had an open air massage in the spa which was lovely and relaxing, again staff were so nice! Overall we had a fab holiday, hotel exceeded our expectations and we could not fault it!! Thank you for a great time and to all the marvellous staff!!
