The rooms are very nice, it seems very spacious and the balconys are very well positioned, close to the beach, about a 10min walk, supermarket near the beach is well stocked and has British items for sale too, the beach is amazing, lovely golden sand, lots of amazing places to eat, favourite one was La Laja which is on the far end of the beach, you turn right and just continue walking down the beach, the prices are very reasonable and you get fed well. Previous reviews said that the hill is not nice up to the villas when really its not that bad, the hill is staggered and has some flat parts. The service was good but the opening hours of reception were annoying, please check times as they are not there all the time. The south of the island isuch quieter with not do many roudy Brits, plenty of Spanish and German people make use of the south of the island and you know how fussy the Germans can be so they must be making the right choice to go there, overall the holiday was good and I think my family and I would consider going again

We were looking for some days in the sunshine before christmas. So we booked a very cheap flight to Fuerteventura- we have never been there before. We choose Monte Solana because of the tripadvisor ratings. It is on a rather steep hill overlooking Morro Jable in the third row behind the beach. I would not call it luxury, but you will find everything basic to feel at home. The Villas are like townhomes . We had some minor problems with the housekeeping and informed the front desk (Andre) but it was not fixed before we left. We would not return because of the really firm beds- it is like sleeping on the floor! If that is ok for you, you will be fine there. Everything you need (restaurants, bank, supermarket)is in walking distance- try the "Las Sirenas" restaurant on the main road in 10 minutes distance. It looks like a tourist trap but everything we had on two days was delicious. If you want to see Fuerteventura by bus- the timetable of all buslines can be found in the magazin Hoy Fuerteventura.

Just returned from an amazing 2 weeks holiday in Jandia. Having never been to Fuerteventura before, didn't know what to expect, all i can say is WOW! The Villas were lovely, as a previous reviewer stated the only down side was the lack of air con/fans, not a good place for the less mobile traveller as the villas are situated up a fairly steep hill. The accomodation was spacious and scrupulously clean. Cleaners came in 3 times per week and the beds and towels were changed regularly. Fresh bread and pastries can be delivered daily (by 9am) to your room and can be ordered from reception. Please note you will have the same delivery each day until you change it/cancel it. All the staff were friendly and helpful, they advised us of places to interest to visit and more importantly recommended some beautiful restaurants. La Savides is a fish restaurant in Morro Jable just a short walk along the beach - the food was excellent and we made several trips here during our stay. Que Rico is an itallian Pizzaria on the main beach road.. having 2 teenagers this place was a must.. Pizza's were gorgeous, pasta dishes supurb. And the 'China Town' chinese restaurant also on the beach road was excellent the staff here could not do enough for you and the food was lovely.
Jandia beach is simply wonderful, i've never seen a cleaner beach! Sunbeds are available at a charge, we found it cheaper to buy a couple of beach brollies and position ourselves closer to the sea. The sea can be a bit rough at times so keep your eyes on the little ones! Watch out for that breeze, it is a bit deceiving and on a couple of occasions resulted in a few over cooked shoulders! On the days when the breeze was a bit strong the pool was a welcome change from the beach, small but perfectly formed and not over used by the residents, there were times when we had it all to ourselves..paradise! All in all a fabulously relaxing holiday..just what we needed.. we will definitely be going back. Just a note, on previous holidays we have been used to changing travellers cheques/ currency in small beaureax de change dotted around the resorts, here the only place we found was the local bank, they make a charge and are only open on weekdays, there are cash machines about though which accept most cards.

These villas are spacious, very clean and have the best views from the roof terrace as well as fully fitted kitchens. The only drawback is the lack of fans or air conditioning which meant that we had to keep the windows open all night and if you have noisy neighbours it can be hard to sleep. But that's just one small complaint from an otherwise wonderful holiday. The pool is small but sufficient and the walk up a steep hill to the villa got easier with time. The beach is the best feature of the holiday - miles of sand not overcrowded with garish umbrellas and sunbeds as are too often a feature on Canary Island beaches. The resort itself is small and quiet, not many bars and there are few decent places to eat. The best bet is to cook at the villa and enjoy dinner on the roof terrace watching the sunset until the lighthouse comes on at dusk. Or visit the exquisite Marabu restaurant, just a short taxi ride away, but worth it for the excellent carpaccio and fish dishes. Best meal of the holiday and equals any I've had in London!

The lack of loud english tourists also turned out to be a bonus (the resort is mainly frequented by German holidaymakers). And I recommend hiring mountain bikes to see the rest of the beachfront along the seaside promenade.

Best holiday iin the Canaries I have had for a long time - although we were looking for a relaxing holiday and becauseit was so quiet that was exactly what we got!

  • Liked — The size of the villa and the terrace
  • Disliked — No ceiliing fans or air con
  • Tips/Secrets — Marabu restaurant is a must
