“Great holiday”

We are die hard American fans so were a bit nervous about our first all inclusive trip to Fuerteventora but felt we needed a change. It is just over an hour by coach to this hotel. Check in was fine and you are greeted with a glass of cava or orang juice when you arrive. The porters take your bags to your room for you. We had a lovely room in block 15 overlooking the pool and a nice sea view. Rooms are being done up at the moment and we had a refurbished room with super king bed and flat screen tv. The good points of this hotel are: rooms are clean, grounds are well cared for, food is plentiful and well cooked, all activities are included as well as all drinks, the staff are friendly and helpful. There are only a few small things that niggled. The new beds are very firm, you can only get a couple of English channels on the tv, the steps down to the beach are very steep but if you head towards the private lodge area there is another way down that isn't so bad and the walk into jandia along the beach is lovely.

We thought this hotel was excellent value for money. You can pay for wifi but reception in rooms is not guaranteed. It's €35 for 14 days and you have to get a password from reception. However you do get a good signal by the main pool or at the disco bar. Another thing we liked is they didn't try to get you to join in if you didn't want too.

The main restaurant can get busy at dinner time but we had no real problems finding a table. The selection is impressive and you can be as good or bad as you please, as there is always plenty of salad and fruit available. There are three al a cart restaurants at no extra charge you just have to book the day before, we liked the Argentinian one especially and went twice. At dinner time they put a bottle of wine on your table and if you don't drink it just take it with you. They are very heavy handed with the measures at the bar! Snacks are available from the pool bar etc, you just go help yourself. Can't really comment on evening entertainment as we only went to one show which was ok. We could hear the live music/DJ from our room and it sounded like everyone was having a wail of a time.

The hotel does cater for Germans more than English but that was fine and no real problem. Word of warning the naturists do not stick to their part of the beach and are more than happy to strut their stuff as soon as they get to the sand.

All in all an excellent place to stay and we would go back in a heart beat.

At the top of the list of strengths must be the food. The main eating area is the size of an aircraft hanger but never felt too oppressive with well spaced tables and subtle screening. At lunch time when half empty it was a very pleasant place to eat with sunlight beaming down from skylights. The range of food is spectacular and the quality for the most good. Wine was disappointing but the beer was very good indeed. Of the smaller waiter service restaurants the Argentinian provided a more peaceful eating experience.

Exercise classes are to be recommended. They were very well run and very useful for working off our increased food consumption.

The beach in front of the complex is small but very attractive when the tide is out.

Little touches, like free bottled water and free in room safes were nice to have. It was also very pleasant on check in to have your luggage placed in your room whilst you were out having a bite to eat. Our room was always serviced whilst we were at breakfast. Very efficient.

Of the weaknesses, the most obvious which comes to mind is information. There is a multitude of activities, dining and entertainment available but information on these is dotted all over the place. From posters, to leaflets, to an information book at reception. It would be much better if all the information was brought together in a single booklet which was given to you on arrival.

With the exception of a couple of visiting acts, the evening entertainment in the theatre was weak and repetitive.

Both road and mountain bikes are available to try in organised classes. But be aware the complex attracts many very fit riders who go on all classes. The pace in even the easiest classes is not really suitable for a beginner just to have a quick dabble.

Rooms were certainly tired at the time of our visit but supposedly are being refurbished. The air conditioning in our room struggled. Much has been said about the merit of Block 14. About two thirds of the rooms in this block have superb views of the beach. Those on the bottom floor near the steps sadly have obstructed views.

Shade around pools is limited and always pre occupied with towels before breakfast. Towel trolls are rife and the complex does very little to deter them. We found the smaller pools quieter and much more to our liking.

Overall the strengths far out weighed the weaknesses. Just accept although it is a very big, bustling complex it is still possible to avoid the crowds and have a relaxing holiday.

Just returned after another great two weeks. This Hotel cant be beaten on value for money. The staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable,There are so many activities to do;something going on all day (and night). The food this time has been really excellent with a vast choice at all meal times and the fact that you can get food and drinks 24 hours a day is amazing.Really friendly helpful staff who always remember us each time we go back. The new entertainment team try really hard to put on good shows and get you up dancing until 2.00 am.The Italian restaurant is especially nice for a late lunch (2.00pm to 4.30pm),for freshly made pizza and a bottle of wine. The grounds and the planting is beautiful.I think some people must go around with their eyes closed. The Hotel rooms are a bit dated,BUT they have already started refurbishing them block by block with modern TV`s and furniture, and I was told by one of the staff that this time next year all rooms will have been updated. If you are travelling alone they have several large round tables in the dining room just for singles, a mixture of all nationalities who all seemed to be having a great time.I will be booking another two weeks this weekend.I cant wait to go back.

Room Tip: Block 11 is ideal if you want to avoid steps as there is a slope that you can get to the main block...

Just returned from staying here for the week. Have to say I was disappointed with the hotel. First impression was not great, the entrance area could be made to look more attractive. Once inside a quick and easy check-in. Hotel grounds and pool area are lovely, clean and tidy. Meals are good with plenty of variety. Try to avoid dinner if no children until after about 20.45 because the main restaurant becomes so busy we had to wait for a table. Rooms were a good size and clean but look a little tired. Activities through the day are brilliant BUT evening entertainment was dreadful! Alcohol was really bad, no branded spirits and the spirits on offer tasted completely different, wine wasn't great either! There are steep steps to the beautiful beach but most families didn't seem to have a problem. Weather made it for us.

Room Tip: We stayed in block 14 which had great view overlooking the sea.

More a resort than a hotel. It is big and spacious with lots of room for all. All inclusive means all inclusive, tennis and tennis coaching is included as are guided mountain bikes tours. There are scuba classes and keep fit. Also plenty of sun beds if you want to recline.

The rooms are in blocks and well numbered, so it is difficult to get lost. Jandia is a pleasant walk along the beach and a 8 euro taxi back.

Little evidence of nudity on the beach, but plenty of the scantily clad.

There is something for everyone, and guests and staff were all pleasant, cordial and good fun.

I was not expecting 5 Star+, I was very pleased with this hotel and would return

What an amazing hotel, from the time we arrived until the moment we departed, they couldnt do enough for you.
We were booked in within a few minutes and informed our room wasnt quite ready, so advised to go and get something to eat. Within the hour the room was ready and our bags brought up immediately. We had a call shortly after to see if we were happy with the room, the room was clean and spacious but very close to some of the bars, so we asked if we could have a quiet room. They said they couldnt do anything for a day or so, but after a few minutes called back to say theyd found another room, we were even able to look at it before we made a decision. We ended up in a very quiet area which we were very happy with.
This hotel has a fantastic choice of food, lovely pool areas to suit, quiet or noisy. This hotel caters to all, young or old.
Staff work incredibly hard and just want to please, always smiling.
We would definately love to go back

This hotel is anti English to the point where staff could be heard saying rude remarks, Food became very repetitive over the two week stay and bar staff could not even take a simple drink order, this hotel has two very steep set of steps down the the beach(which is gorgeous) but unsuitable for families and older ppl. Rooms was kept clean but the maids was not shy in taking any money left lying around!!! German ppl was favoured in this hotel. A lot of the animation team was very rude and made little effort to get u to join in the games. Night time entertainment was very poor and it's hard to dance to music u cannot understand. Management was ridiculously poor and could not over come the smallest of problems! This hotel alone spoiled my holiday and my views was backed up by many ppl I spoke to there. As from next year this hotel will be loosing platinum status which indicates it's falling standards. Only advise I would give is stay a kilter further into the town, beach access is flat and it has the only English bar on the island in ( Boot and Ball ) which is good for the football. Food down at the Old part of town is far superior to tht of the hotel..
