“Superb family holiday destination.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2013 via mobile

My family and I stayed here at the beginning of January and have to admit we could not fault this hotel from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Everything was absolutely top notch, from the friendly and very helpful staff at reception to the cleaners smiley "hola" in the morning. Nothing seemed to be to much hassle or effort.

There are numerous bars and restaurants to eat and have a drink at each day until you find your favourite and its a pleasure trying each one out. The main restaurant is a buffet and all the food is fresh and very well presented. There is definitely something for everyone. Our favourite was the seafood night when we ate our own weight in king prawns.

There are also plenty of activities on each day from kids clubs to mountain biking and hill walking. We also took full advantage of the free fitness classes and you can enjoy the free spin bikes overlooking the beautiful beach.

The whole resort is very well kept and maintained. The pool is cleaned first thing every morning and the rooms are cleaned everyday and were spotless when we arrived.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone whether you be travelling with a young family, wanting a chilled out week in the sun with plenty of nice food and drink or fancy a week of fitness and healthy eating.

We will definitely be back. Even the tune thats played at the pool during the days catchy "get away on a holiday, club magic liiiife"

Very much enjoyed our New Year 2013 celebrations at Club Magic Life. The hotel pulled out all the stops for a fantastic evening with a wonderful eating experience in the buffet restaurant followed by some great entertainment in various locations of the hotel providing something for everyone!

Well worth checking into the hotel online to minimize your time at reception on arrival.
I would recommend emailng the hotel before you arrive to request the room you want. Our preference is block 14 which gets you as close to the sea as you can be.

This hotel is consistently good and it is true, you do not need to spend another cent all week, and you can dine and drink (to excess if you choose).
There are any opportunities to exercise the excess off from archery to aerobics!
Not much around the hotel apart from other hotels but a nice stroll along the beach to the right takes you to Jandia which is well worth a visit. The beach is stunning with vast expanses of white sand and blue sea. Shops selling a mix of tat and luxury/designer goods and many beachside restaurants if you choose to eat/drink outside the hotel. Further along the beach you will find Morro Jable which is a fishing village that has kept some of its charm and also worth a visit.
Shame the bus service has stopped but if you don't want to walk back you can get a taxi for about 10Euros I think.
Will hopefully be back again as this is our favourite winter escape!

We arrived mid afternoon on Boxing Day (26th Dec) for a 7 night stay. Our check was quick and informative, the reception guy provided us with map to which he added and marked restaurant times, locations and gave directed to our room. Whole waiting a few minutes for check in we were provided with a noce refreshing drink and our cases were taken to be delivered to our room.

The hotel grounds are well laid out and kept. 5 swimming pools, 5 restaurants, 3 bars, sports facilities and organised entertainment. The hotel is located above a lovely wild stretch of beach on the southern side of the island. There are plenty of good paths and lifts for those who require ramped access.

Our room was well appointed and large - with a sea facing balcony. The room olso had a television, air con and a fan. My only real moan was the bed - it was some what uncomfortable the first night, however this was remedied by putting spare blankets to the top of the mattress to allow me under body and head to be propped up. No sore back the next mornings when i awoke.

The weather during our stay was fine - 5 days sunshine and 2 days cloudy. All days were windy but not the point where we had any real problems relaxing by pool, on the sun terraces or down on the beach. There were plenty of spots where you could get out of the wind. The pools were clean and well kept but very few ventured in at this time of year. Temperatures of 21 to 23 c were warm enough but not warme enough to be swimming. There were more people in the water down on the beach however which suggested sea was warmer than the pools. The beach was reached by a steep set of steps, we elected to ditch out 1 year old sons buggy when we visited the beach, as it would have been a hinderance to carry.

We mostly ate in the main buffet restaurant at breakfast, and evening dinner. Lunch we had in the other restaurant or at the pool snack bar. We enjoyed the food very much, plenty of variet and some excellent choices. I raed a few comments from previous visitors saying it was like a canteen, mmmm were you staying at the same hotel. Breakfasts in particular were very good, I enjoyed back bacon, english sausages, toast, bean and tomatoes every morning very good indeed. Evening meal time i could get busy but we managed to get the same table most nights. The new year eve gala night was very busy and quest formed at many cooking stations - this was due to many dishes being cooked freshly to order. Pool snack bar food was the usual hot dogs, burgers, toasties, chips etc. We never had any time during this holiday where we didn't find something we wanted to eat.

The hotel itself is set in a very quiet resort - where this is actually little going on in terms of bars, restaurants and nightlife but the hotel provided all, if you dont like hotel night times you would be better in Corallejo instead of this area. We had a few walks, one of which followed a dirt track down to the beach and followed various paths near the other hotels round the cliffs, before a steep climb back up to the main road, the walk was fairly strenuous especially pushing a buggy around it. I also enjoyed the walk up the mountain behind the hotel - which was a steady climb up a rugged path to the summit, the walk was well worth the effort for the views and the exercise.

We also enjoyed a day out to Oasis Park which is a zoo with botanical gardens. There is a courtesy bus provided by the park which picks up at the hotel daily. Ask at reception for times. All in it cost us €37 for a family of 3 plus lunch which cost another €15. We left the hotel at 9-15 and returned at 4-30. The park itself has many fine animals to see including monkeys, giraffes, elephants, crocodiles, birds, llamas, zebras ..... There are also 4 shows to see during the day - parrots, reptiles, birds of prey and sealions. We really enjoyed the day to the park and would recommend a visit to families with children.

To conclude this review - we would like to thank the staff at the hotel, who were helpful, courteous and friendly. We really enjoyed our 7 night stay ay the hotel. Would we return probably not however as there is not too much to do in the area - our one visit covered pretty much all we wanted to see. If we return to Fuerteventura we will probably try the north of the island.

Room Tip: Sea view is a worth while - although most rooms have some sea view - some are better than others.

First time we've been away on a winter break and I have to say the stay at this hotel didn't disappoint. A lovely hotel overlooking the beach. While the hotel is relatively flat the beach is down a significant number of steps and therefore not suitable for the less mobile, even the gentle route has 10 - 20 steps. The beach itself is 35km end to end and the hotel is about 50 minutes walk from Jandia (along the beach) - look out for the chipmunks (about 10-15 minutes to the right). We thought the food was excellent with good variety. You could eat and drink for the full 24 hours if your constitution was up to it. Two good bars in the evening, the quiet one near reception and the music one near the restaurants. We enjoyed the a la carte restaurants but you do have to book the day before at 8a.m.
Excellent holiday - we'll be back

Travelled with girlfriend and 7 month old daughter.
We went in Jan 2012 for one week.
Excellent food, staff and facilities.
Latest night was 10pm - so we can't comment on night life - although the modest night club stayed open until 2am (didn't hear it at all).
Would we go again - depends on price, but would love to.

Room Tip: We had a sea view facing east 7.30 am in Dec '12 - the sun rises were superb.

We spent 11 nights here in July 2012. Weather was fantastic, never saw a cloud the whole holiday. Location was a bit remote but we knew this before we booked the holiday. The hotel is set above a lovely beach. A steep climb down to the beach but worth it. Lots of chipmunks in the rocks along the beach which we enjoyed feeding every day. We walked along the beach to Jandia a few times which was approx a 1hr walk. Check the tides before doing this though as the tide cuts off the beach. A few naturists on the beach enroute! We went a day trip to Oasis park which we organised ourself as it was cheaper that way. There's a free bus that you can get to and from it from the hotel. We also went to the market in Jandia which is full of your usual stalls with fake bags, belts etc.
Our room overlooked the pool and was a decent size. Perhaps in need of a refurb but the room was really clean and of a decent size. Entertainment at night was in the theatre. We only went twice and the shows were quite good but not thebest of settings. Outdoor karaoke style entertainment also which we never bothered with. The majority of guests were not British and our 14yr old daughter had no opportunity to meet other kids at club as the kids club was foreign. Hotel grounds were spotless and really well maintained. Food was fantastic. I think this is the best Spanish hotel food we have ever had. Queues at bars for drinks were not bad. Would I go back here? Yes but not with a 14yr old as not much for her to do.

We spent Christmas 2012 at Magic Life Fuerteventura - a real change for us never having been all inclusive before, or to Fuerteventura, so our expectations were somewhat mixed. The resort, because that is what it is really, was excellent and we will very likely book to go back next Christmas.
The 700 odd bedrooms are spread over a number of low rise buildings and as we arrived, due to flight delays, at just before midnight, we were looking forward to getting our heads down. We were offered a cold buffet even at that time and the receptionist offered to have our cases taken to our room. We declined saying we could manage quite easily, although that may not have been the best decision as it seemed miles to the room block, although it was probably only a few minutes walk. The room turned out to be wonderful with a huge double bed as requested, plus a settee, a sitting area with chairs and table and a good sized balcony with again chairs and table. The bathroom was fine and the whole unit spotlessly clean and tidy with free safe and water in the fridge
Next morning we woke to bright sunshine and a view of the tennis courts and archery and through the palm trees down to the sea - brilliant.
The food was great with so much choice at all meals, including 3 additional restaurants (Argentinian, Italian and Spanish) that we could, and did, pre-book (still no charge). All drinks were of course included and we were concerned about drunkenness but saw no-one who seemed even remotely tipsy even though the drinks were of good quality and as plentiful as you wished.
We went to the beach which was good but windy and discovered the naturist pool area by the Spa, which was calm, uncrowded and very pleasant - we spent most days there.
A great Christmas break, temperatures in the mid 20s, delightful staff, friendly guests (mainly northern european) abd excellent food choices, what more could we have asked for

Room Tip: maybe like us have 3rd floor level - we were block 22
