Arrived late sat evening no welcome drink no rep queues to register, spent the next two weeks constantly queuing for drinks at the pool bar during the day at the plaza and wunder bar in the evenings hardly spent much time with the family, we had to wait for a table in the evening if you wanted to eat after 7.30 , the rooms although big were a bit tired with rattling front doors and distressed furniture clapped out fridge and tv. The entertainment in the evening was a bit adhoc and management seemed to make it up as they went along The main Plaza bar suffered from a lack of seating on warm evenings and the adhoc tiled dance area was covered with cracked and broken tiles. Food had lots of choice but nothing special, this is deffinately not a platinum standard hotel probably a good 2 star at best If you have to go here expect to be cramped in with loads of people both in the dining room and at the pool and spend alot of time queing for everything you have already paid for P.S The staff are very good and do there best but there are alot more chiefs than indians perhaps therin lies the problem.

Room Tip: Get a sea view fantastic

We’ve just come back from a 12 day stay at this hotel. We travelled 11th June – 22nd with Thomson.
As mentioned the transfer is longer than we expected 1hour 10mins. We arrived late and there where quite a few people checking in at the same time so there was some queue waiting. You get given a small white sheet when boarding the transfer the front desk will need this filling out so if possible do it on the transfer as this slows the queue as people stood at desk filling in the form.

The room was very large and the facilities where all very clean and tidy. Our room (14223) had a view over the sea which was lovely. The beach does get a little narrow when the tide comes in and this changes frequently many times we saw peoples towels and belongings getting wet as the tide came in and they hadn’t moved their things. There is a metre wide stretch of rocks before you can get to the sea. When the tide comes in the waves smash against these and it looks pretty dangerous. Be very careful walking over these I imagine it’s very easy to hurt yourself on these. The steps down to the beach are hard to get back up I’m 18 my partner 19 he jogs frequently but we we’re definitely tired by the time we reached the top especially in the heat. I did slip on one of the sandy ones near the bottom watch out for this.

Tennis- We had 2 unsuccessful attempts at playing tennis. The first time we booked the 1 o’clock slot and went down 10 mins beforehand to pick up the rackets, the room was dark and locked so we asked at the bike place she told us the man who runs the tennis goes on his dinner 12-3!! You can’t get equipment between those hours your supposed to come before 12 and keep hold of the rackets and ball till its your time and keep them again till you can take them back. We we’re slightly annoyed as there was no mention of this anywhere. We booked the next days 12 o’clock slot and went at half 11 when we arrived he wasn’t there! So again we couldn’t play tennis. This is a very silly system and should at least be explained on the board outside the tennis house. You also have to have tennis shoes or you’re not allowed to play.

I won’t go into too much detail as everyone has already said the food is excellent. You don’t need to be worried at all about this aspect of the holiday.

Becareful with the drinks the measures are lethal! At the tail end of our holiday the resort seemed to become much busier and this made queues at all bars. The staff try their very hardest taking 2/3 orders a time but the queues still exist. Again repeating a previous review I didn’t see any brand named spirits that I’d heard of but they we’re fine.

The shop also has a rather large break mid day 12:30 – 15:30 I believe and 12:30 -14:30 on Sunday; papers are delivered at 12 they cost 2euro’s. We unfortunately burnt a little after running out of factor 30 and forced to move down to factor 15 too early; So we went to buy another 30 from the shop this cost us 20 euro’s for not a very large bottle so take plenty.

A game of pool also costs 2 euro’s which I feel is a bit expensive. It also has to be paid in 2 1euro’s which reception can’t always supply. We bought wi-fi for an ipod for the day this cost 7 euro’s only a couple euro’s more than the fee for an hour. This is charged to your room and paid at the end.

We went on the Oasis Park trip we didn’t book through Thompson as the free bus comes twice in the morning 9:15 and 10:50 and the park entry is 24euro’s pp and an extra 10pp for the camel safari. The bus comes back to pick you up at 16:45 we had 2nd pick up and 1st drop off. This is good as the bus gets very busy and people end up standing who are picked up later on. The trip is well worth doing a very good day.
There did start to be few beds left around the pool. Reservers at the best but we did always manage to find one nevertheless.

We did very much enjoy the holiday. I did get ID’d a lot especially by the rather glum looking girl at the pool bar who really is quite miserable. I recommend taking a less valuable piece of ID other than your passport as this put me on edge knowing I was carrying it around.

I would go back and recommend to others. It’s a great resort the majority of staff are lovely the cleaner is delightful and we did have a lovely holiday! Have a great time if you book!

We stayed at this hotel for my 60th birthday treat with my family14 in total ages ranging from 62 to 1 year. From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had nothing to complain about. On arrival staff were quick and effficent and friendly. The room was spacious and clean, I asked for 2 more pillows and they arrived immediately. My husband and I did not use any other restaurant but my daughters ate in the Italian one night only. They said there was really no need to do this as the main restaurant was excellent. A lot of people have commented on the beds being uncomfortable we did not find this the only thing that kept us awake was the howling wind. The walk down steps to beach is not for the disabled but I am 60 and did not find it a problem at all there a is a rope all the way down and I helped myself back by pulling on that , the children just ran up the steps. The beach is lovely for a nice walk but there are nudists everywhere. This really was an all inclusive hotel you did not need to spend a euro. You really could do as much or as little as you liked some of our party joined in lots of the activities while others just relaxed around pool. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

My partner and I stayed at the magic life fuerteventura between the 1st and 15th of June. Overall, quite good, but not the 5T quality Thomson had promised.

Rooms- very large and spacious, always very clean, however the maids often left the balcony door open, and therefore it was no surprise when we discovered a cockroach running across the bed on our last evening.

Food- lots of choice, different theme every evening. Not always piping hot but was always cooked, didnt suffer any stomach upsets, overall was nice. Speciality restaurants are ok but beware the days they open change every week. Baia and mai Thai are worth a visit. Baia is open on a dinner time and I would suggest going there instead of the pool bar as they do burger, pizza, salad, pastas etc, and is open until half 4.

Bars- not enough bars for a hotel this size, as the hotel got busier the queues grew longer. This was down to a lack of staff. At times there would be one serving and 3 standing about. The disco bar was good, played lots of chart hits and could have a good dance!

Pool- freezing! You may think I am exaggerating a I did when I read other reviews before I went but it is seriously cold! The pool bar let's the service side down, rude rude staff, long queues etc. The one guy on the snack bite blatantly doesn't wanna be there and was fairly rude every day. Miserable woman on the bar constantly asking your age, which I appreciate is there job but surely wristbands would have saved this embarrassment. I couldn't understand why the hotel doesn't give wristbands when every other all inclusive I've been to does! Anyone could walk in and have a free for all.

Entertainment- didn't see any because the theatre was enclosed and had no bar, but other guests said it was very enjoyable.

All in all the hotel is nice, with good food, and lots of activities. It just didn't live up to previous years all inclusive holidays because of issues such as no air conditioning, chipped glasses, and lack of staff.

The location of the hotel was good, right on the beach, however, you do have to be a bit of a mountain goat to get down and up the steps!

Fuerteventura is a lovely place, and if you are going, visit the oasis park zoo and jandia town!

We have just returned from a 10 night stay here, there were 14 of us. Our ages ranged from 62 yrs to 1 yr. There was plenty to do if you wanted to, some of us went mountaining biking, took part in spinning classes and used the gym, whilst the others enjoyed the pool and sat there all day. The staff were brilliant and if you wanted to join in they were welcoming but if you didnt they did not pressure you.

The resort was mainly german but all the staff spoke good English. When we arrived the hotel was 72% full which was lovely no waiting for a drink at the bar or waiting for the empty food trays to be replaced in the resturant however it was the german half term holidays half way through our holiday which meant it was just under 100% full and we had to wait for drinks etc. Only a couple of minutes so it was not a problem at all. However the sundbeds did get reserved at this time early, even though there were alot of beds if you wanted any in the shade you had to get up early.

There was a wide choice of food we did not have any problems feeding fussy 5 yr olds or the 1 yr old. The drinks were generous and served in full size glasses in all the bars apart from the pool bar.

The entertainment was what you may expect its not going to be a west end show quality but was good for 45 minutes if you wanted to get out of the wind.

We had good weather but it was WINDY!!! nothing the hotel could do about that!!

It does not have anything near it, a taxi ride to Jandia is about 7 euros or the bext 1,20 E but we knew there was nothing near it and did not expect to be able just to walk to the shops or bars.

The staff were super, the hotel was clean, the food was good.

Overall we had a great time and would go back tomorrow if we could.

Just returned from a weeks stay and felt had to write on here and comment on what a fantastic place to stay. Would agree whole heartedly with the majority of reviews on here. It is a large resort, four speciality restaurants (Thai, Steakhouse, Canarian and Meditterrean) and the main Buffet Magico restaurant. You would be hard pushed to go hungry here as there is so much choice and always something to eat. There is also a pizza/pasta bar open from 2-5pm. Yes a lot of germans but they do queue and on the whole are polite. Sun beds not an issue even as the hotel got busier. The walk down to the beach can be approached from two paths, the steep one that everyone moans about or just behind the private lodges is a slighlty better path which is sloped and less steps, much easier to climb at the end of the day. The resort is always kept very clean and seems to be plenty of happy staff about, that all speak good English. We did get shown to a free table at dinner and always a bottle of wine on the table which the waiters will change for you if you prefer red or white, so must disagree with the 'guy further doen the page thats been here so many times yet does'nt know a decent hotel when he sees one!' The Entertainment team do a good job and are not in your face asking you to join in all the time.
Overall a very good hotel that has something for everyone and very good value for money. Already looking at going back very soon!
