“good homemade food”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

one of the best places I found out there at this time of year (last week in Oct/Nov) as most were closed or ran out of food . I found this place was good value for the money as there was always plenty of good food on the plate service was great as I found we enjoyed it there would use this place again if I go to Santa Ponsa

“Very poor quality”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

After reading a lot of the outstanding previous reviews My family and I decided to have a meal at the Tuck Inn To say we were dissapointed is a a real understatment. The chips that everyone raves about on the occasion we visited were frozen chips The fish was nothing out of the ordinary and as for the The jumbo pies what a total misnomer They were the same size as any pie you can buy at a chip shop or football match back in the UK. the contents of these so called Jumbo pies was little more than a thick gravy there was NO meat of any substance in them Service was good but it didnt make up for the awful quality of the food served there. The Kids loved the Dog No I didnt mean the kids ate a dog What it is the owners have a lovelly pet dog. Inside the menu the owners ask you not to feed it After eating the food here Im not surprised why they dont want people to feed their dog with it.

This review is factually incorrect in almost every detail.
Firstly, we have not sold frozen chips since the start of the season, except on the very rare occasion that we sold out - the last time this occurred was during two busy nights in September. You state your visit was in October.

Secondly, the dog is NEVER here at night, and that is the only time we sell either fish or steak pies as they are on the evening menu which starts at 6pm. You could not, therefore, have met the dog & ate the food you state.

As regards the pies, The uncooked weight of the pie is approximately 340 g, and when compared to the Wrights pies we sell (similar to the Pukka pies you mention available from chip shops / football grounds) which are 230 g, it is indeed "Jumbo" by comparison. The pastry on this pie is also short crust rather than the puff pastry type on the other pies which sets them apart. We regularly eat, and enjoy these pies - as do our returning customers - and always found them to be delicious and crammed with delightfully soft steak.

We cannot really comment any further on this work of fiction.

I sent a more detailed response to the previous lambasting review you submitted which was removed by Tripadvisor, and as this seems very personal I will keep it short & simple.

Our food & drink prices are comparable, or lower than most other restaurants in Santa Ponsa, and are detailed on our website for all to see.

As regards our quality, I am sure the previous reviews - from well founded travellers who have visited numerous establishments for comparison, and submitted numerous Tripadvisor reviews - will demonstrate our commitment to affordable quality.

I hope your pursuit for a cheaper, better quality restaurant in Santa Ponsa, on a less demanding terrain is a fruitful one.

“Home away from home”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

Owned and ran by two great individuals. Inexpensive but delicious. Wide menu selection I have spent a month here in mallorca, Spain and have eaten here almost everday. If you are not staying in santa ponca you should still drive out to eat here.

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review, and I am glad that you enjoyed our food more than your all-inclusive hotels!

Your review comments on our food quality and large portions, the latter which I am sure loses us revenue in desserts, but most people enjoy a good hearty meal with the additional activity they do on holiday!

Your review will undoubtedly assist fellow travellers in choosing a place that is worth visiting for a quality, hearty meal.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to submit your review.
