just back after 10days,group of four, ages 49 to 57.Hotel in a great location, taxi rank outside, bus stops to the right of the entrance.104 direct to palma.great place to visit.would advise going only bed & breakfast,to hotel plaza as the name says on the rooftop, evening meals not much choice. It is in a great area with lots of eating places outside,a great chinese on opposite corner. sunbeds all broke, this is a great shame as around the pool is a real sun trap, covers are on the sunloungers, but a shame these are not taken off at night, because we had some terrible rain, and all covers got soaking wet,so you had to sunbathe on them wet ,when sun was out again.was in room 117 one night only.noise from what sounded like a generator, coming through the wall all night.moved to 218,next floor up,same again,it appears to be most of the rooms looking over the pool have this noise all night long.staff are lovely when you ask for a move, that is if there is rooms to move you to.we had a really bad storm and rooms got flooded, but most people in this hotel are of mature years, with bad movement and with walking sticks.there wasnt much help for these holiday makers.myself and friends, helped the people, so if the management got these things sorted, it would be a great hotel.

My girlfriend and me stayed at Santa Ponsa Plaza for a week between 17 and 24 August. We were a little anxious because of some of the negative reviews but decided to ignore these unbalanced ones. Thankfully this was a wise decision. Despite a tourist weary bus driver that got annoyed because we were confused which stop to get off as we did not realise Santa Ponsa Plaza does not have Fergus in the name because it is only the company name, we got to the hotel uneventfully. We were relieved when a drunk guy got off at Magaluf and were scarred for life by the sight of a guy in a mankini posing for the bus as we stopped off with his overweight mate with excess body hair on display LOL!
The hotel room and dining facilities were more than adequate and we looked forward to our all you can eat breakfast and dinner times. A great choice of cooked breakfast with cereals and fresh fruit and tea and coffee provided. Nice evening meals with lots of fresh fish, pasta, chips, fresh salad, ice cream and soup etc. The only thing you had to pay for was your drink with your evening meal.
It is in a central location for buses to all tourist destinations. The beach was not overcrowded and had a wonderful section of sea ideal for a safe swim across a big section of still water adjacent to a marina with yachts and ferry trips.
A very relaxing and peaceful stay, the staff in the hotel were very friendly and provided a great quality of service. Rooms were cleaned every day in the morning. Great air conditioning, en suite rooms with a balcony and a safe for 20 euros a week. Santa Ponsa is an ideal resort for couples and families but if you are looking for a wild night out then Magaluf is about a 30-40 minute bus journey away. However Santa Ponsa has lots of irish and Scottish bars across the way in the centre of the town if you want more lively evening entertainment.
Tips - when you buy cocktails in bars in Santa Ponsa make sure that you ask for the price list rather than buying a drink before seeing the list of drinks minus price information. Got stung with a 8 euro 70 for one cocktail in the bar with salsa lessons provided. Internet facilities, and pool provided.
However, would definitely come again to Santa Ponsa Plaza. We enjoyed the multi-national mix in the resort of German, Russian, Spanish and English as prefer an alternative to the entirely British experience abroad! Ashame to come back to reality!

We have stayed in Santa Ponsa on numerous occasions and always liked the look of the plaza. We were checked into room 118 over looking the pool.
The room was very clean , with towels and bedding changed everyday and a great shower and great air-con.
Unfortunately our room was directly above the kitchen ice making machine which sounded like a diesel engine running ALL night.
The food was below par and very basic with very limited choice.
If you are going here expecting it to be adults only , think again , the hotel has a blind spot to this rule as we seen three families with young children running about and bombing in the pool.
The staff were lovely and very helpful , and the location is great.

Would i stay here again , no because there are better hotels in Santa Ponsa.

Room Tip: Avoid room 118

we stayed here for 11 nights and had a lovely time. the location is excellent, probably the best in santa ponsa, with a taxi rank and bus stop (very frequent) over the road which, we never had a problem with even though our room was on the front, we slept very well. once the balcony doors are closed we could not here anything. It is near all shops and bars and resturants, most closing around 12 but if you want to stay out later and party there is the square and more bars further up .this hotel will not be any good if you are a party animal though there are plenty of them further up the strip or if you have children as it is a child free hotel. the pool with sunloungers was great, not crowded, outside bar area relaxing. the beach is just over the road. the room was cleaned everyday and towels changed, air conditioning was a godsend. the only thing for us that let it down was the evening meal, we found it not very good but other people seemed to enjoy it, saying that the breakfast was very good, better than some we've had in england. overall we had a lovely relaxing chilled out stay. we are planning to stay here again.

Room Tip: if you are going to palma on the bus,the bus stop is packed with people trying to get on which can b...

I stayed here for 5 days with a group of friends in August. We all agreed that this hotel was definitely worth every penny we paid. First of all it was one of the cleanest hotels ive ever stayed In. The maid came around almost every day to change towels and bedding. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless. Air con in the room is very good and there is also a fan in the room which is a must in the summer heat. The shower is very powerful and there was plenty of water throughout the day. Wi-fi is free but you need to ask. Iron hire is also free. The breakfast was very good and the evening meal was descent. The service and staff are very good and friendly especially the receptionists they always go out of their way to help. The location of the hotel is probably the best in santa ponsa literally 1min to the beach and 5mins to the strip. All shops and amenities are on the doorstep. If you're after a party hotel then this is not your place to be you will not find any children because its a child free hotel. Most of the guests are couples and mature singles. Also anyone wanting to hire a car should consider the service that the hotel provides. We hired a car without a credit card(forgot to bring it) and the fuel policy was bring it back the way you got it.

To sum it up its an excellent hotel for the price you pay.
