Returned last Friday after a eight night stay, after reading other reviews I was expecting a really good 4 star hotel, there are a number of things I found really off putting, every drink I had in the bar the glass was dirty, the cutlery in the restaurant was dirty on occasions, the rooms were very clean and spacious, but when we returned one day to find the key card had been left in the room by the maid we immediately returned it to reception , after explaining to the hotel receptionist that we were quite concerned that this card could get into any room , he said it could not ?, and then asked had we used it to get into another room, I was appalled. Yes the hotel is in a nice setting and it would have been nice to have had a peaceful drink on an evening without the local bike team dominating the bar area every evening, very loud and annoying, I would have preferred children than Philips bike team, we were on the all inclusive package the food was pretty average not as good as other 4star Iberostars in Majorca we have stayed in, one good point the waitress called Sandra was lovely, would we return no.

Room Tip: We were in the far block walls paper thin cant comment on other areas

We took good note of your remarks regarding the glasses and cutlery and passed them to our maitre who will remain attentive on the matter. For Iberostar thorough cleaning is an absolute must and we want to apologize for not fulfilling your concerning expectations in the bar and restaurant. We have protocols and procedures to guarantee satisfying results regarding hygiene and cleanliness. For future occasions we strongly encourage you to contact our reception in case any lack is encountered. As to us it is of prime importance to offer total confidence in this area, we will be enchanted to adjust any situation that is not in accordance with our established standards. It is very enjoyable to read that we were successful keeping your room spotless, and we thank you for highlighting this aspect of your Iberostar Suites Hotel Jardin del Sol experience.

Further, we lament the incident with the forgotten key card. Even if we do our utmost to avoid failures in our daily labors, sometimes we fail. Although we don´t like this, we try to make advantage out of it and enforce ourselves to learn from the occurred so that in the future such is not repeated. We thoroughly explained the importance of meticulousness to the entire housekeeping department in order to raise awareness among all our personnel and we thank you for the opportunity of improvement your comment gave us.

In addition, we have read your remarks related to our culinary offer with a lot of attention and we feel sad about your disappointed. The gastronomy is one of the pillars of our chain and we can assure you that it is essential for us that our customers enjoy our cuisine. For this reason, Iberostar is reinvented year after year, improving facilities and renewing our hotels with themed restaurants, special effects for the buffet, Show Cooking, etc. We have passed your constructive critics to the head of the department and we are checking the protocols in order to guarantee the compliance of our demanding quality standards. Even so, we would like to mention that currently we only work with professional chefs of great recognition that use only top quality products.

To continue, we do our best to ensure that the noise level always stays within the limits, and the rest of our guests is not disturbed by a few. Sometimes it is impossible to guarantee this, as not all visitors are equally respectful and we are sorry that to the precise moment of your visit this must have been the case.

On the other hand, we are glad to read that you felt comfortable in the spacious room and that you find the setting of our hotel very beautiful. We strive to offer splendid accommodation and when we are informed that our guests have enjoyed the facilities, this is a source of joy to us.

This was our first visit to the hotel. We wanted to stay somewhere luxurious and hot in order to escape the British "summer", and having read the details on the internet we thought a one-week fact-finding expedition was definitely in order! Suffice to say it was a success and we shall be returning.

The all-inclusive price was the same as we had paid for a week at our favourite hotel in Cornwall a couple of months earlier, only to be rained on every day, so we thought it was very good value at Jardin del Sol. The attentiveness of the staff was superb - special mention to Super Maxi and Charlie Chaplin.

If you want the luxury of a jacuzzi, a day bed on the terrace and your own loungers, the Suites Superior are exactly what they say. One suggestion I would make to the management (although it's difficult to improve on nigh-on perfection) is that it would be helpful to ensure consistency in the names given to the different types of rooms, as the terminology varies between the hotel signage and the internet information. I refer here to terminology such as Junior Suites, Honeymoon Suites, Senior Suites etc. I feel that these terms need to be standardized across the board with a clear indication of what each consists of.

A good tip is to go down for dinner either at 6.30 or 8,30 onwards to secure a balcony table.

Not long home from spending a week in this lovely hotel. Most holidays, I am ready for home after the week but would have gladly stayed on for a few days more!
This is a really good adult only quality hotel. We had to wait for half an hour untill our room was ready and were given vouchers for the bar. When we checked in, we were upgraded to a beautifull suite on the second floor in the main building. Staff were allways helpfull and pleasant - nicest staff we have ever come accross.

We were all inclusive and the quality of the food was very good. My husband thought there could have been more meat served but thats just personal choice. Freshly cooked chicken, fish , pork with salads and plenty of vegetables. Sweets were just so good. Proper icecream with varied varieties and sponges, and fresh fruit at every meal. Drinks were all well known brands and lovely cocktails!

Nice pool with plenty of sun beds. Not sure what it would be like at hieght of the season but we were told the hotel was full. Fab views from the hotel out over the bay. Location was perfect for us as hotel quiet, but shops and bars just a 15 min stroll away. The Square was local to the hotel and had live tibute bands on every night with bars dotted around.
In all, this hotel ticked all our boxes and would gladly return.

we have just come back from our first holiday abroad after being married 23 years
after a long search and reading lots of reviews we booked this hotel
when we arrived we was offered champagne told our room would be 45 Min we could go and have lunch and it would be ready they looked after our luggage returned after lunch we had booked a junior suite but we was upgraded to a junior suite priorty which was free of charge
the room was great lots of space amazing views clean does need a little TLC
the staff at this hotel are amazing the just cant do enough for you always polite and helpful
food was good we was all inclusive the drinks were known brands which we understand is not the normal practise at most hotels

on our last night we had a chat with the manager just to give feedback on what a great stay
we had and how good his staff are

he said during the close season there are going to be some building work done to the hotel and they are not opening till mid march cant wait to see what they do will defiantly be going back

Room Tip: junior suites are great but views from all rooms seems amazing

We returned to this hotel for our honeymoon expecting this to be just as good and even better than our first visit in 2009 which was our first holiday together. Sadly even though our travel agent had made a special request for us and advised the hotel it was a return visit for our honeymoon we were greeted very frosterley from the start, although we asked about our request to be in the main building and 4th floor and that it was our honeymoon, we were cut dead to be told no rooms available your in the 2nd building and we were 2 doors of the end of whole complex and on the 6th floor so not a great start, we had no word of congratulations what so ever, and then we were advised the rooms where not ready. we did not want to get of to bad start for our honeymoon experience so as we knew the quality of the junior suites we were happy but needless to say we thought a little bit more effort could of been made to make our welcome a bit more friendly, over the next few days we noticed champagne being handed out to people checking in over the weekend, something we never experienced, we made the most of our honeymoon experience but the endless up and down on lifts and long treks from one end of the building to the other for facilites was a pain. on the last day of our honeymoon we asked our rep about special requests how they are processed she did say if we had spoke to her earlier she would of tried to help but as i said we didnt want any fuss or bad feeling, she could not believe the frosty attitude and low and behold on our return to our room we found a bottle of champagne on ice from the hotel saying happy honeymoon yes a nice touch but a shame it was on the last night of our stay this would of been so much better on arrival to make our experience that bit more special. So for it being our 2nd visit it will certainly be our last. You will read other reviews that people have been ugraded free of charge etc this is all very nice but when you make a special request dont expect it to be at all considered.

Room Tip: the junior suites are great but in need of some tlc

Booked a 9 night break at the Jardin del sol for our silver wedding anniversary in august, when we arrived i was a little dissapointed to be told there was no room at the Inn and we woulld have to stay at a hotel next door, which i must say was beautiful for 1 night,but was told we would be upgraded to a junior suite because of this and the fact it was our anniversary whilst there. When we were shown to our room i could not believe the size and quality we had been given,the view was fantastic and had a jacuzzi bath in the room. also the quality of the food and branded drinks i have never experienced in an all inclusive hotel before. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a child free romantic break in Majorca, not a cheap holiday but well worth the money for the quality you will receive,

As we have returned now we are able to judge the hotel. The rooms are good but come with one issue that all hotels should respect! The sound traveles through the rooms! If you' re early sleepers it is not great because you can here all late people coming to their rooms and then some want to have one more drink in the room and you wake up and then you sleep again and then you wake up again. Sound proof wall between rooms has been forgoten in this hotel. breakfast was great and diners was very good. views are worth the travel.
