we stayed in this hotel in June 2013 on a half board basis. It was clean and tidy and food choice was reasonable, but we were the only english people there at the time and the rst were a mixture of german, russian and eastern europe, nothing wrong with that, but not so easy to meet people and they all seemed to be on all inclusive too.
It is in a handy place for the beach and the quiter side of the bay with bars and restaurants nearby.
The main negative for our group was that you had to be in the restaurant for the evening meal by 2000 at the latest, never known that before and it did spoil it a bit for us.

This was our transfer hotel, as we had to stay three extra days due to the recent strikes in france.I can honestly say it was was a alot better than our first hotel. It is small but i think that makes the service better. The receptionist luisa was very helpfull on more than one occasion. The maids and breakfast staff were also polite. The hotel is very close to the beach and local shops and bars.ITis family friendly and was a relaxing break.

The Delphin Mar hotel is a modern clean hotel about 5 minutes walk from the beach. The rooms are not massive but very reasonable for the price.

We were originally booked into the Delphin Playa hotel in Palma Nova (which was also a great hotel) with bed and breakfast but after a few days there we were given the option of switching to the Delphin Mar hotel in Santa Ponsa in exchange for an upgrade to all inclusive. Taking this option turned out to be an excellent decision because the quality and choice of food on offer at the Delphin Mar was much better than you might expect in an 'all you can eat' buffet.

The entertainment organiser, Karuna was great fun and very friendly and she really went out of her way to get to know the hotel guests. We also liked Micky the barman who was also friendly. Some of the other staff seemed less friendly but this could have been the language barrier.

My son loved the pool and we loved the endless all inclusive sangria and other drinks. All in all a great holiday at a great location.

Room Tip: You can see the beach from both sides of the hotel.

Ordinarily I would stay with my Brother and Sister-in-law when visiting Mallorca, however on this occasion they had "overbooked" haha and we had to vacate our room and stay elsewhere for a couple of nights. It is safe to say that these guys know everything there is to know about Mallorca accommodation and hotels as they are born again Mallorcans (hailing originally from the UK) and with 60 years - between them - in the travel business on this island, it is no surprise that they would have booked us into a comfortable pad.
Gone are the days when we used to doss down in any old "kiss me quick" twenty-something branded resort hotel where beds fly off the top balcony and in to the pool, and the evening air reverberates with the sound of inebriated Brits. These days we are definitely in the market for a quieter more civilized hotel experience and even though we only really needed a bed for a couple of nights rather than the whole hotel/resort experience, this hotel offers both.
We visited in late April during a particularly cold snap so we didn't get to avail ourselves of the outdoor pools or sundeck but we did have central heating in our room; a balcony with a sea view and the breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful.
There also appeared to be an indoor pool and fitness room though we didn't use any of these.
Service was efficient and friendly and even when we arrived after the breakfast buffet was shut, we were accommodated.
In a great area, close to the beach strip but on one of the quieter back streets.
Would definitely stay here again if in the area

We booked through Booking.com. For clients in half board that arrive late, the hotel Delfin Mar offers a complimentary cold dinner in the room. We sent them an email stating we would arrive to the hotel around 10pm (our flight would arrive at 8 to the island airport) and they confirmed our booking and dinner. When we arrived at the hotel, the night receptionist told us they forgot to prepare our dinner (and we should go out to any restaurant). He also said that because our late arrival we would get the worse room at the hotel!!! But he offered us an apartment next door (Delfín Casa Vida, same company) for the same price, and we could still use their restaurant for breakfast and dinner, as well as the pool and the gym. The next day we went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast and the morning receptionist said we refused to half board when we accepted the apartment. We spoke to the manager and explained her, but she rudely said that when they told us we could still use the restaurant they meant we had to pay for the food. We called Booking.com and they said they would speak to them but susprisingly, they came back to us saying that the manager was quite sure about what the night receptionist told us, and that there was nothing they could do. We felt defenceless, deceived and mistreated. Booking.com and the hotel manager, that were not there at our arrival, decided we were wrong! At the very end, after much arguing, they decided not to charge us for the food (which we had only at breakfast as we decided to go out for dinner since from that moment we didn't like the atmosphere) but arguing is not something you expect to do when you are on holdays! And morevover, Booking.com agreed with the hotel management they wouldn't publish our opinion on their web. But I have read in blogs they do that quite often.

Room Tip: Don't arrive late (10 pm) or you will get the worse room...
