This hotel looks lovely, new and modern from the outside. The pool area is lovely and clean, the reception is also. But unfortunately the rooms could do with being updated and refurbished. We stayed here in April 2012, family of 4. Was a little cramped, and had the most uncomfortable and noisy beds I have ever known! We ended up taking in turns to sleep on the different beds, so at least 2 of us got a nights sleep!! The beds were clean but the "put me up camp bed" was the worst Ive slept in. In fact, we took up the bed and put mattress on floor!! Was slightly better that way!
The kitchen didnt have a lot of equipment. The kettle was very, very slow to boil. It was one of the old fashioned ones you put on the hob and wait for it to whistle - though you could hire a better one. There was no toaster - you could hire one, was not enough cutlery for the 4 of us either. No hairdryer, though you could hire one!
It was adequate for our weeks stay.
We were on floor 4 with a sea.pool view. Which was lovely, as it could have made a dark room if you were looking out the back of the hotel.
There is an outdoor pool, water very, very cold. There is also an indoor pool. Water slightly warmer. There was a gym but this was kept locked up when we were there.
The cleaning staff were the loudest I have ever heard! They seemed to shout at each other from one end of the corridor to the other!
The staff at reception were ok. Not overely friendly so dont expect a welcoming smile when you walk in!
It was ok for our short break, but dont think we will be going back again.

Room Tip: Take your own hairdryer and travel kettle. Also ask for a room with a sea view and a quiet room if...

Just returned from a short break at these apartments. For what we paid i wasn't expecting a lot and to be honest you don't get it. The rooms are very dated, quite small with very limited facilities for cooking and the most creaky beds i have ever heard! Having said that they were very clean and our view from floor 1 was lovely of both the sea and pool area. The hotel is around a 10-15 min walk to the beach but only 2 minutes from the square which i expect would be great in high season but was mainly closed down at this time of year with only a handful of place open.
also be aware if you're taking small children here the shallow end of pool is still far too deep for them to go in which disappointed me and made it a much harder prospect for the adults having to be in holding them constantly! There is an indoor pool but again no paddling area for toddlers.
There are adequate bars, restaurants and supermarket within a 2minute walk of th hotel.
All in all you get what you pay for-if you want a budget break these are fine but not if you want comfort, luxury or child friendly accommodation.
I found reception staff fine contrary to other reviews they helped us hire a buggy when ours broke and noted our request to be off the ground floor.rooms were also cleaned 2 times during our 4night break.

Just got back from a short break to santa ponsa we stayed in a apartment with side sea view we were about 4 floors up and could see the sea from the side just, the apartments were basic but as with all santa ponsa they were very clean, we took our own kettle as theres boils on top of the cooker very slow, also no hairdryer bathroom was nice enough the water was always hot. Reception was always on hand if you needed them. The square would be nice in full season but was very quite when we were there although we managed, theres a large supermarket a few yards from the apartments that sells all you need. 104 Bus to Palma about 2.75 euros,we also got the bus into santa ponsa town and taxi back 3 euros.

Room Tip: Maybe i would ask for a full sea view room

We arrived on Friday at 10:30, the receptionist was rude and uninterested in our party of 8 and she couldn't be bothered hiding it. We got our rooms which were adequate, although there is very limited equipment in the kitchen, so dont plan on cooking any meals! We had the tv and lights on and that blew the fuses,so dont use more than 1 electrical point at a time.
You can also hear whet the people in the next room are saying, as it was our friends not too much of a problem, had it been a honeymooning couple there would have been a big problem!

The worst part was by the time we checked on Monday we had recieved no clean towels or bedding for the durtion of our stay.. Yuk!

You get what you pay for and if your after cheap and cheerful, well its cheap no cheer!

We arrived back today after a last minute, 4 day break. Basically you get what you pay for. The hotel is dated and very much aimed at catering for German tourists - who are looked after by their respective on site tour reps. It was evident that the majority of the British (like us) were accommodated on the Ground Floor with a side sea view (of a bush and a storm drain). Our walls were paper thin and we didn't get much sleep on any of the nights (as late as 3am on one night) because of this. On our first morning we witnessed 2 separate British families complaining to Reception about the rooms (along our corridor). One of the families had stayed at the hotel before and had stayed in a much better standard sea view room. Even though they had offered to pay for an upgrade the Receptionist refused and was shockingly rude, tutting and rolling her eyes stating that they were overbooked - even though it was clearly evident that they weren't. I would STRONGLY advise anyone considering staying here to ensure that you book a sea facing room and NOT be fooled into booking a Side Sea/Sea View Room, which is very much a ploy of the hotel, allowing them to dump you into this particular corridor (you won't find them doing the same thing to the Germans).

On a positive note! The location is really nice, with a great view of the sea from the pool area and a nice shoreline walk down to Santa Ponsa. The little cafes/bistros outside of the hotel and along the shoreline are also nice to sit outside and offer really good value for money. The whole area is litter free and really clean and tidy. We also found the Auld Triangle Bar (across the road) to be great for it's live evening Irish music, rustic cosy feel and really friendly barman. You can catch a 104 bus to Palma around the corner from the hotel for 2:80 Euros (this takes about 1:15 hrs but is a good way to see some of the local villas and other resorts). The 102 Bus takes less time and is a better option for catching back.

We stayed on a half board basis and were happy with the food, although there is not much of choice for the evening meal it was okay for what we paid, and again the selection is pretty much a continental theme which was fine by us. Its just a shame that the Reception staff were not as friendly and helpful as the waitresses/waiters.

All things considered (based on location and cost), we will be staying here again, but have learnt our lesson and will only be booking a sea view room.

Room Tip: Sea View Room only otherwise be prepared to be dumped in a noisey ground floor corridor with a view...

I stayed in the Jardin for 6 nights in April 2012.After the initial check-in in which we booked a side sea view we were given a apartment which was on the ground floor and had a wall view with absolutely no views of the sea.On returning to the Reception we were given a alternative room with sea view for a extra 6 euro a night which i suppose is not too expensive. The apartments were clean and basic. If anything they could do with updating their towels as the ones in my apartment were old and torn. The resort itself is old and tired and could do with a bit of a update broken paths and lot of boarded up shops and resturants. There are 2 pools 1 indoor which was good as the weather wasn't great but i suppose it was only April. My overall impression is that it was ok and a little few tweaks and it could be a excellent place to stay

Room Tip: Sea Views is a must otherwise you could be looking at a brick wall

My Husband and I stayed here for one week, we was greeted by a male reception staff who had only been there for 2weeks he was very helpfull with a friendly smile. Always happy to help nothing was too much trouble. We was give our keys to our appartment, this was clean and basic we took our own kettle, but i forgot my hair dryer the hotel hires out such things like hair dryers, kettles ect...
Usual things in appartment, inculding two ring electric cooker, small fridge, Sky TV but we could only get news in English, we didnt cook in the appartment since we booked Bed n Breakfast. Self Service plenty of food to please all tastes. Fresh fruits, English Breakfast and Continental Breakfast, staff greeted us with a smile each morning and we was free to choose our own table. Our cleaner/ Maid cleaned our room every day , gave extra towels if we needed also made our beds always had a smile and very friendly.
The indoor pool was a "God send" since it was 1st March the Sauna was lovley and the Outdoor Pool would be too cold even for the younger people . Just outside of the hotel was plenty of cafe n bars again only a few was open, we was told the season starts in April. Centre of Santa Ponsa Beach you can watch wild Parrots flying in and out of the trees. If your the sort of British who like Steak Pie n Beer try the.... PIE n PINT. Pub cafe nice frienly couple from Birmingham tasty food good price. Want a trip out try jumping on the 402 to PALMA cost around £3.00 each, one way. Or we did the Island tour up the Mountains on coach, Tram , Train and Boat how ever the sea was too rough on the day so we didnt get on the boat. MY PERFECT VIEWS FAB....

Room Tip: Rooms on 4th floor have sea view
