Description: We are a family restaurant, owned and operated by our family since we came to Santa Ponsa from Ireland in 1977, with special attention to the needs of families with children. Our food is an eclectic selection of dishes from a variety of cuisines which have proven over the years to be the most popular with our customers. We are an ordinary family, mother father and two daughters, providing home-style cooking to people like ourselves. No Michelin stars here, but good nourishing food with no fuss or pretentions. Breakfasts from 9.30 to 5.30pm, snacks, lunches, dinners served till 11.30pm. And DELICIOUS home-made desserts!! Open 1 May till 31 October

During our stay in Santa Ponsa we breakfasted and dined here in Mrs Murphy's Kitchen, for 5 days. The food was divine, and very reasonably priced. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the restuarant has a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Santa Ponsa! You wont be disappointed! Our Fave meal was the classic burger, fave dessert Baileys Cheesecake, oh the lasagne is beautiful too! Top marks to all! :)

Visited here twice last week during our 10 day stay for evening meal our large party of 14 was seated quickly but due to the restaurant being busy we were on different tables which was not a problem. The food arrived very quickly and was very good hot and flavoursome, I had the salmon and prawn pasta on the first visit and lasagna on the second. The kids had children's meals which were very good value for money and included a drink and ice cream with their meals, the children's portions were very good sized and my kids were full and happy after eating here. The service can feel a bit hectic but this place is always packed out and to be honest they are rushed off their feet, this really is not a problem to be but may be for some, however no matter how busy the staff are I found them pleasant and friendly, and will visit again on our next trip. Thank you again and keep up the good work :-)

We ate here 2 nights out of the 3 we were in Santa Ponsa. I wouldn't have one complaint about the restaurant. The food was perfect and delicious. Staff were very friendly and efficient and the location was perfect. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone going to Santa Ponsa.

This place was always busy, every time we walked past, so we'd thought one evening we should see what all the fuss is about. It seems very geered towards families. We were two adults but it didn't affect our experience. Quite a varied menu. The service was quick, although getting a waiters attention did sometimes prove tricky. We especially enjoyed the cheesecake for dessert!

An unusual sort of review. Kind of like one of those "good news, bad news" situations. You said some nice things, but kind of "damned us with faint praise" (thanks Mr Shakespeare). You said the menu was quite varied and you especially enjoyed the cheesecake (I think our cheese cake alone should have earned us an above average review) but yet you gave us only average on our food. You said the service was quick (but it was sometimes hard to get a waiter's attention) and even though you felt our restaurant was geared towards families (people without kids can be a family too) you said it didn't affect your experience. You gave with one hand but you took away with the other. Overall the fairly positive comments you made didn't really correspond to the average rating you gave us. Average is no man's land. Not much we can do with it. A very good or excellent rating is a joy to get, and a bad rating can be useful in making us continually re-examine all aspects of our operation, even if it is just a grouchy, having-a-bad-hair-day review. But an average is just, what? Nowhere. No passion. I wish they would drop "average" from the options and push people into something with a bit more soul in it. An average restaurant is not much use, and an average rating is not much use either. It is an easy option that doesn't require much effort. So give us hell or give us a pat on the back. Average reviews are boring. And, I think I can safely say, we didn't last 37 years being the busiest restaurant with the highest turnover in Santa Ponsa by being just "average". One man's average can be another man's very good or excellent - check our ratings. The numbers of excellent and very good ratings we get would support our conviction that we are above average. And that's probably the reason for "all the fuss" which you mentioned.
