We spent a week here between 03-10 Sept and had the best time ever. 10 of us travelled out. 6 adults and 4 children 4 and under.

From the moment you check in and get to your room you can't help but feel delighted with the place. Rooms are lovely and clean and with 2 rooms, a sofa, lovely bathroom, kitchen area and a large balcony you have everything you need.

We were lucky to have a pool view. Directly under us was the small toddlers pool and terrace and down the stairs was the main pools and further over again were the crazy golf, football pitch and play park area with a big climbing frame and slides. The kids loved it.

Food was amazing, we ate so much. You can't help it because everything is so nice, you just want to try it all. They even did some brilliant displays with the food. Check out the pics.

The entertainment team were 1st class. Jonny Rocks, Shuuuuutup Shanice and EJ in particular we're brilliant. They were always around the pool and keeping the kids entertained with games. Thompson The Dog made a few appearances through the day to drive the little ones crazy too haha

Daily quiz at 4pm :-) was great and we won on our last day!!

Staff were brilliant and very friendly, always there to help and get you anything.

Loved Happy Hour :-)
Couple of cocktails while the kids are all dancing with Jonny Rocks. Still all singing Chocolatè now around the house lol

We couldn't recommend a nicer place for families and it's only a 15 min walk to the beach. Would definitely go again.

If you book this hotel, you won't be disappointed.

Just got back from a 2 weeks holiday at tis hotel.
its must be said the hotel was very clean, and smart. bar staff worked round the clock and couldnt do enough for us.
was there with our 1 and a half year old, plenty for her to do, especially getting out of the sun for a bit with the downstairs indoor pool and the soft play area.
the thomson entertainment team was brilliant, Jonni Rocks, shanice and EJ were the life and soul and had the place buzzing, they appealed to all the ages and were a real credit to thomson.
only downside was the we were directly above the bar and late and night and early morning we could hear the tables and chairs being moved around which did get slightly annoying, but any higher than 1st floor and you'd be safe from that.
lovely food which changed nightly, but repeated weekly, but nice all the same.
hotel seemed to attract a lovely crowd of people and very family friendly. would reccomend 110%

Room Tip: ask for a high room, first floor was loud if positioned above bar

just back from a 2week stay at the golden avenida, and from minute we arrived to minute we left we cant fault it a lot have to say and im very fussy when travelling.
We arrived at 7.55pm and was checked in and dealt with fast, very happy to welcome us and was told dinner was available till 9pm which was good as we had a 4year old.

Room was spotless, roomy and very nice for a full board stay. we had pool view on 6th floor (630) and was great, after reviews saying about late noise we heard nothing the two weeks we were here I must say. Air con was a bonus.
Rooms were cleaned an beds mad every day. fresh towels and bin bags.
Tv was great with few u channels and Disney channel was great for kids whilst getting ready lol.

Food was lovely and lots of choice for everyone, fresh meats cooked and carved infront of you and was always hot, once we were late around 8.30pm an food wasn't too hot must say. Staff in restaurant were quick and good at clearing plates so u could get deserts ect. Especially Ana who welcomes you into room she is an essential part and my girl loved Ana.

Bar was quick to serve you and often brung drinks to poolside or tables.

As for entertainment this hotel had best by far we have ever staid and Thomson family resorts should be pround this hotel done well. jonny and shaneece and all others did well, always smiling and kids loved the TTD tea time live shows. Also kids club was great with my girl who has mild behaviour problems but drop in sessions were brill for her and was always spoke to in passing.
Hotel had a few evening shows starting at 10pm-11pm and were amazing especially the bejing acrobatics omg must see.

Salou was lovely and must say was surprised how well I liked this resort but will be back and if you have kids this hotel is a must and with pools and parks for kids and kids club with great reps I would defo recommend this.

Room Tip: we staid in room 630 and was lovely view of pool

We have just come back from an 11 night stay at the hotel. Had seen tips before hand about asking for a room with a pool view , which we did but unfortunately didnt get.

We were allocated room 220 which was directly opposite the lifts so you had the noise of the road and also the added noise of the lifts and stairs especially at night.

Having said that we had an apartment with a double bed sofa separate area with microwave kettle and fridge, there was also a separate room with twin beds in and another tv. More than enough room for us, beds as mentioned in other reviews were hard.

Rooms were very clean and tidied every day.

Food wise, plenty of variety - not just chips etc. Anna the restaurant manager was very friendly also.

Special mention goes to the reception staff especially Sarah. My partner took ill on the last day and she called a cab for us to go to the medical centre. We did not get back til 9pm and thought we had missed out on the food but she had a word with Anna who let us in the restaurant.

If ever visit Salou again we would stop in the hotel

Room Tip: Avoid rooms 120 220 etc , also ask for a room pool facing on a higher floor

We stayed at this hotel for the second year in a row and at the same time of year (late August-early Sept). The accommodation was very good apart from the tiny almost ineffective fridge. The rooms were a good size, the air con. worked well and we had a pool-view balcony, as requested. The hotel has several pools to suit all ages including very young children and features such as an all weather sports area and kiddy slides area. There is a lifeguard on duty at all times. There are plenty of sunbeds to go round and a good system in place to prevent putting towels on beds during the night etc. This whole area is the hotel's biggest asset and is as good a pool and play area as you will find in any hotel anywhere. The reception staff particularly are superb in all respects and the three lifts make going up and down to your room easy. All good so far. However, now we come to the food, drink and entertainment.

The food was way down on the quality of last year. The quality of the meat, chicken and fish was poor and it was easy to see that the cuts were low cost. In addition some of the food was so highly salted, presumably to make it taste better, that eating it left you with a premier division thirst for hours afterwards. Most of the fruit was brick hard and could not be eaten. It was clearly put out for several days in order to ripen. This made the choice of fruit limited to what was ripe on the day. All in all the food was very disappointing compared to last years excellent fare. The entertainment was not up to much and children were allowed to run amoke during the turns. Drinks were also uninspiring. All said and done if you are not too fussy about food and want a good pool area for kids of all ages then this is the hotel for you.

All in all, last year I would have given this hotel five stars but but this year it is only four in my opinion, mainly because of the poor cuisine, and we have chosen not to return.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a pool view for a bit of interest as the ones on the other side of the hotel are in the shade all day and have a poor view of a side street.
