“Fantastic Hotel!”
Reviewed May 8, 2012

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for a week in May 2012. We booked room only but upgraded to half board for only ten euros each a day. We were really impressed with everything about this hotel. The staff were so friendly and very helpful especially the reception staff who kindly moved us to a lower floor when we asked (we were concerned about our little one being on the balcony). The food was very good and the newly refurbished suites are faultless. Theyre very modern, have lots of mod cons and are well proportioned. The pool area was lovely although a heated Childrens pool would have been great. There is an indoor pool though. We welcomed the fact that the hotel had a crèche, a well equipped baby room and great entertainment. The location is great too. Only 10 mins from PortAventura and Lots of reasonably priced shops and restaurants. Only 10 mins from a lovely beach too. Definitely would recommend this hotel x

My partner and I really enjoyed the week we had in Salou. We decided to have a self catering holiday and the room was everything we needed. The entertainment was very good every night. Drinks very cheap and the food we did buy from the hotel was basic but nice.
We spent most days sunbathing on the sun terrace which was very private. Still could enjoy the atmosphere but away from the hustle and bustle of the large familys around the pool.
Would recommend this hotel if you enjoy Salou and all that it has to offer.

We arrived to a warm welcome, and had to wait a little while before our rooms were ready so we took ourselves off to the well what we would call the high street to recce restaurants etc. Our room was basic, had all we needed in (I understand the rooms have now been refurbished and from what I have seen they are very pleasant indeed) The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the thomson reps were lovely. We booked a trip to Barcelona football stadium but missed the coach (overslept probably too much vino) and the Thomson reps very kindly rebooked us on a trip to Montserrat which is absolutely stunning and thoroughly recommend this trip. We went to Barcelona on the train, and this was probably one of the best ways, and it was cheap, it actually worked out for the four of us to go by train, four taxis (there and back from stations) and the entrance to Barcelona football stadium less the trip - however trips are cheaper if they are booked on the high street rather through your tour reps. The beach is about twenty mins away but there are plenty of shops bars to look at on the way. The beach is safe although a little crowded, We went in October it was lovely weather, and had a brilliant time. I would say if you want typical spanish this not the place to go it is very english, The best place to eat is Oliver's Restaurant.

We stayed here in May 2011 and the weather was great for the time of year. The poolside play areas were great for the kids and if you got up early enough to reserve a sun bed in the right area you could keep an eye on the kids going between the pool and play area. The poolside entertainment could get a little annoying but if you're going to a hotel like this you just have to embrace the fun atmosphere and get involved.

The rooms weren't the best, it looked like they were renovating as our bedroom was half painted. Also the bathroom door locked by itself (luckly none of the kids were inside). When we reported it to reception the man seemed very laid back and handed me an bent paper clip and told me to wiggle it in the lock and the door would open. It worked but still not very practical.

While we were there it was some kind of spanish bank holiday and we had 2 solid nights of fireworks that didn't finish until 4am. The doors to the balcony may as well have been open for all the use they were at blocking any noise.

It was a little walk to the main area of salou but like I said before, the bank hoilday made the whole of the centre a very busy and noisy place to be.

All in all a good hotel, just be prepared to be dragged into poolside games and enjoy the laid back atmosphere.

Me my nan and my two brother went a holiday for two week. We were all very happy with the size of the room. we were self catering and found lots of nice places to eat, main one being olivers. We loved going to the shop and beach. tyhe beaches were lovely and the weather excellent. Me and my two brother made lots of friend within to first days of are holiday. The only let down was nosie people next door hotel and the bingo was more for little children but we would like to again.
